Jahmyr Gibbs tops a big week for backs.
Is this the year of the running back? Backs are putting up points in bunches and it seems that running the ball is once again in fashion in fantasy football. Last night the Mikings Jahmyr Gibbs put up 37 points and is now one of five running backs in the AWFFL to have scored more than 80 points this season (a sixth, Javonte Williams, has 79). In comparison, there’s only one wide receiver to top that mark. Here’s further proof that backs may be back, every one of those six RB’s is on a team with a winning record. The Commandovichs have the leagues top 3 scoring WR’s and are below .500. Even a top QB doesn’t guarantee winning right now. Just ask the Douganeers or Dixons, who are currently shopping their quarterbacks and planning for next year. So there you have it, running backs ARE back! And in a league founded by Emmitt and Barry and Thurman, I say welcome back.
