That’s right the draft is on the move. The AWFFL Draft will be held in St. Louis this year, twenty years after we first descended on the city. First and foremost, let me give you an update on Lou. Jeff and I visited him this weekend and while he is still recovering from the radiation treatments, he is improving from where he was just a few weeks ago. And I want to be clear that even by moving the draft, this does not guarantee that he will be able to join us for the draft. But it does keep that possibility open! I’ve reserved 6 rooms at the Drury Inn Forest Park for the weekend (Friday and Saturday). If you can’t make it, that’s fine but please let me know so I can cancel rooms if need be. They are cancelable up until Thursday August 21st. The hotel is outside of downtown, near the famous neighborhood known as The Hill, so this weekend will have a much different vibe than the last time we were there. More neighborhood bars and restaurants than staying in downtown St. Louis, which quite frankly is kind of empty these days. Thanks for all your patience and understanding while we figured this out and a special thanks to last years champ Pat, who really was looking forward to going back to Grand Rapids but worked with us on making this change.
