Nothing but the Dogs in me! That's what coach Elder....the Elder one, is saying today as He finds his Dogs of War in a battle with The Newly Minted Aztecas for dominance in the Fire Division!
Coach Edwin, of the Team formerly known as The LumberJacks, and The Dogs Of War both of off identical 4-7 finishes last season, find themselves locked in a battle of Herculean proportions atop the Fire division, again with identical records so far, only at 4-2!
As we enter the middle of the 24th UFFL season, which of these Titans of the Gridiron will prevail? Both are veteran coaches, one with his name on the Plaque, the other the owner of an undefeated regular season record in their pasts! Both seeking a return to glory! But who will emerge intact? The three headed Dog of War or the Freshly christened Aztec Warrior? Place your bets!
On to the weekly wrap up!
NFC Game Of The Week:
WoodChucks-234 / Chaos-189
This weeks closest game is a 45 point win, which stands to spotlight just how many ASS Whippings were handed out in the Nitro this week. Two teams were beaten by over 200 points, two other teams were spanked by over 130 points each and one team was whalloped by 95!! DAMN, NFC! But that makes this the tightest most exciting game of the bunch despite it being nearly a 50 point victory! Coach Woodro got the win with 61 from Daniels despite his mauling at the hands of Da Bears and 50 from Daniel Jones' new best friend Jonathan Taylor! The Defending Champs tried to make a game of it as Boxley got 71 from Kelcie's best man and 33 from Metcalf! But The Chucks got the win to stay in the log jam at 3-3 in the Ice division!
WoodChucks 3-3 / Chaos 3-3
NFC WOODSHED GAME OF THE WEEK:
Dogs Of War-369 / Warriors-165
Coach Elder.....ahem...the Elder one, was a focus in the headline story, but he also dragged Coach T and The Warriors into the 'Shed with a 204 point Drubbing! Granted there were a lot of Woodshed candidates this week in NFC, but the 204 point route was the worst if only by a point! DOW got 108, GODDAMN, from Bijon "Mustard" Robinson and 75 from Jaxon Smith "MY" Njigba to thoroughly mollywhop Coach T. His Warriors certainly did NOT come out to play this week, with best efforts from Bryce Young's 45 and Ertz measly 24. The Warriors got skinned and return to the 'Shed for the second time this year!
Dogs Of War 4-2 / Warriors 2-4
UFC Game Of The Week:
Brown's Bombers-275 / Respect Your Elders-269
I can barely believe I'm typing this, But Stop The Presses! The Bombers are in ANOTHER spotlight closest game of the week and......actually won?!!! No freaking way! Losing two games this season by a total of ONE FREAKING POINT, has had your friendly Neighborhood Commish at wits end, to be honest, but he got a win this time! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while I guess. How the hell did he do it? Well 101 points from Rico "Don't" Dowdle certainly helped and 60 from his newest favorite Big Blue QB Dart didn't hurt. Coach Elder......The Younger, led nearly all weekend thanks to 45 from Young and 39 from the Pit defense but thanks to some MNF "Bearly" defensive efforts and Josh Allen's face being plastered on Milk Cartons on Monday, The Bombers finally have something to smile about.....at least for one week.
Brown's Bombers 2-4 / Respect Your Elders 2-4
UFC WOODSHED GAME OF THE WEEK:
VA Disciples-343 / Talons-138
UFC actually had a Woodshed game worse than the one planted in the NFC 'Shed, albeit by ONE point, as VAD and Coach Prunty dragged the lifeless corpse known as The Talons to the 'Shed by a total of 205 points!!!!!! OMG! VAD humiliated Coach Sam's boys thanks to 75 from JSN and 71 from DRAKE London who was quoted as saying it was "God's Plan" to put Sam in the 'Shed! Coach Sam was heard saying he was "In my Feelings" thanks to his victory being NIXED due to Bo's 31 and getting RAMed by the LA defense only managing 40. Apologies for the Drake song jokes.....(You guys try and do this all the time...) BTW this is the FOURTH time this season The Talons find themselves in the 'Shed.......its week SIX!!!!!! C'Mon man!!!!
VA Disciples 4-2 / Talons 2-4
This season is just heating up! A lot of VERY close records so far, while some division leaders can be clearly seen, the Wild Card picture is WIDE ASS OPEN, no one is out of anything just yet!
Stay focused, it ain't over till it's over!
Aim High!
