Can't keep track of all of them......
Ah the joys of Fantasy Football. Everyone walks away from the draft relatively happy because of certain stars or steals that they think they have drafted and nothing has gone wrong.....yet.
And then in Week 1, the injury reports start rolling out.
It always feels like the current year is the worst we have ever seen, but this really does seem to happen every season. In the first four weeks we have seen devastating injuries to multiple star players like Joe Burrow (AGAIN), James Conner and Najee Harris. Then in Week 4, the news about Malik Nabers has barely gotten around to everyone and Tyreek Hill is being carted off the field. And we still have 13 weeks to go. Keep bolstering those benches everyone!
These injuries are also where the mulligans come in so handy. In previous years that 1st quarter injury to one of your stars would probably mean a loss that week. But now, you can strategize and agonize into Tuesday morning to see if your extra move(s) that week paid off.
Week 4 saw a bit of a flip to the final scores thanks to six teams putting in mulligans. Cachet up the Ying-Yang was so concerned about the potential flood of mulligans that they used two this week to lock in their 3rd win of the season. Spongeworthy used one of the smallest mulligans to date by just adding 3 points to their total, but it paid off, because without it they would have lost this week. That move kept them in the top 6 and gave them their first win of the season.
The Van Buren Boys became one of the first, if not the first, to flex in a kicker on Tuesday morning. Another successful mulligan as well as they vaulted into the top 6 to secure a win also.
The Close Talkers also jumped up from the bottom 6 with a mulligan that snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. And The Soup Nazis decided they were taking no chances and used a mulligan to emphatically lock in the only 4-0 start of the 2025 season.
Unfortunately for Downtown, the mulligan to take Malik Nabers out was not enough to counter all the other mulligans and they stayed in the bottom 6 to drop to 2-2.
So we move onto Week 5...plenty of mulligans and injuries in the upcoming weeks. Good luck!!!
