Week 2: To Mulligan or Not To Mulligan

Hmmmm.......

That is the question.  And in Week 2, it can definitely be a little unclear whether or not you want to use one (or two) to try and grab (or save) a win, especially when using the mulligan doesn’t guarantee anything.

This week the scores were pretty tight between the teams in 2nd place thru 7th place, so someone was going to either use a mulligan and still lose, OR someone was not going to use a mulligan and have multiple teams jump them and then they would wind up losing.

Cachet Up The Ying-Yang did not want to go to 0-2, but they also didn’t want to stay up until 1:15AM to see how the Raiders-Chargers game played out, so they just used a mulligan to replace Hurts with Love.  The thought process being that if The Soup Nazis only used one mulligan, they would be 0.20 points ahead of them still and that SHOULD cement a top-6 finish.

The Van Buren Boys were in 3rd place at 1:15AM and Vandelay Industries was in 8th place, and yet the mulligan email I got from Matt showed that VBB was concerned enough about how close everyone was with the potential mulligans out there, so he used one just to ensure a win this week.

Coco The Monkey finished the night in 4th place, but with Cachet Up the Ying-Yang, The Soup Nazis and Vandelay Industries all using mulligans, Coco fell to 7th and took a tough loss.  Had they used one, Vandelay would have still lost despite using one, showing how razor thin some of these weeks can be.
