If the playoffs began this week...

There are only 3 weeks left in the regular season and the parity is getting real. No team is running away with the league and just about every team has something to still play for. I am sure that Shawn is already working on the magic numbers so stay tuned for him to start giving those announcements soon.

The Baggers' loss dropped them into a 3-way tie for the best record in the league at 7-4, but wins over both the Doves and Sea Monkeys allow them to keep the edge and the number one seed.

The Doves, despite being in the bottom third in the league in scoring, hold on to the number 2 seed with their last-minute one-point win over the Tsunami and their head to head win over the Sea Monkeys.

Don't look now, but the Sea Monkeys have won 4 in a row and are applying constant pressure to capitalize on any slip up on either the Baggers' or the Doves' part.

The Underdogs have quietly risen to #2 in the league in scoring and find themselves atop the 4-team 6-5 logjam with a season sweep over the Wombats and a decided win over the Phoenix to claim the 4 seed.

The Wombats have beaten both the Phoenix and the Smash, which gives them the 5 seed.

The Phoenix have swept the season series over the Smash, which drops the Smash out of contention with the Underdogs for the 4 seed, even though they have yet to play, and gives the Phoenix claim to the 6 seed.

The Smash have the silver lining of the points position however. Currently they have a 6-point lead over the Gamblers and a 10-point lead over the Brute Squad for the pleasure of facing the Doves in the first round.
