Had an idea over the weekend and came up with a new spreadsheet!  I didn't expect the results to be so glaring, but here we are!

I broke each team's performances into quartiles and captured their best and worst - and which team they played for each set of three games.

The rankings of teams that have faced a team in their BEST three games are as such:

So, we can see that The Gamblers have had the worst luck - or have incurred the deepest wrath of the Scheduling Gods - whichever belief system you choose to employ. The Doves, The Phoenix, The Brute Squad, and The Smash, on the other hand, have been blessed.

On the other hand, here is the list of how many times each team has faced another team's three WORST performances:

We can see that The Doves have been the clear winners of the scheduling lottery - having faced another team's worst three performances more than half of their games! Meanwhile, The Brute Squad, The Gamblers, and The Underdogs have received the proverbial shaft.

Now, it's just a simple matter of subtraction, lucky less unlucky to get to the result that we all already knew in our bones...

While The Gamblers have had it the roughest this season with a -4 differential...

The Doves have been EVEN MORE LUCKY with a differential of +5.
