Brute Squad Makes Late Season Surge

In a late-season attempt at playoff relevance, The Brute Squad posted 94pts, jumping up both the Points and Breakdown rankings.  This earned them 5.5 additional Real Power Points© - the most of any team - and two spots in the rankings!

The Doves jumped THREE spots with another solid, if not spectacular, performance - but that is more a function of The Gamblers, The Smash, and The Phoenix waving them past with sub-average showings.

The Wombat Platoon has wrenched the title of Luckiest Team from The Doves - a strange combination of events involving a completely average (seasonal) winning score and a completely average (weekly) losing score.  Luck can be so fickle!

The Gamblers continue to be the Unluckiest Team - this week's total notwithstanding. The score did get them the biggest drop in the rankings, though.

This week's Poor Bitch is The Wombat Platoon who just missed this week's average in a loss to The Tsunami (who have quietly beaten the league average for the third straight week).

Our Lucky Bastard is The Warlocks who nudged past The Gamblers, but fell short of the worst average weekly score all season.

Oh, and The Baggers and The Sea Monkeys continue to sit 1 and 2 respectively.  Ho, hum. In The Clash of the Titans, The Baggers have a chance to finish the season with a perfect score, but they'll need some help from The Phoenix to make that happen! The Sea Monkeys may be able to take the Record ranking, but are extremely unlikely to be able to able to supplant them in either of the other two categories. Stay tuned!
