Two Mannings One Cup Remains #1
In a very tight week of scoring, Hammerheads was able to overcome very rough competition from Went 4 Wood in a massive scoring fest. Hammer took the win and the $20 weekly high score prize in a 155.7 to 150.4 slug fest. Went 4 Wood had almost 35 points out of Carolina RB Rico Dowdle, but Hammer had two +30 performers with D'Andre Swift, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba both getting over 30 at the WR position. Went 4 Wood had 3 players get into the 20 range, and Hammer had just 2 players in the 20's, but it was enough. Breaks my heart for Wayne Dragon and his Went 4 Wood crew, but their can be only one weekly high score winner, and this week it's Hammerheads and old veteran owner Tim Dixon who takes home the prize. Congrats Hammerheads!
We had some amazingly close games this week with NFL Not for Long beating Tailgaters by just .1 of a point 95.9 to 95.8, and Doughboys just getting past Cheeze Wheel 106 to 105.1. Obsessive Compulsive also edged past formerly undefeated Let It Ride 99 to 95.8, along with a large number of teams within 10 to 5 points. These kinds of games are the ones that make a big difference in playoff seeding.
Two Mannings One Cup has once again remained undefeated at 6-0 and kept their #1 ranked status. Andrew Ledoux's Two Mannings club has now been #1 week 3, 4, 5, and now week 6. Very impressive indeed Andrew, but have you peaked too early? Two Mannings poin totals have slowly shrunk over the last few weeks going from the 130's to the 120's, and this week into the 80's. It's not easy being number 1.
In the Swammi-Commish games of the week, I was sitting at 2-8 overall for my record, and this week I went 1-2 as my prediction for Manning paid off with their win, but I was disappointed by Young Gun and Let It Ride who got their first loss. That puts my pitiful ass at 3-10 this season. Awful, hell, even the website is getting most predictions wrong. I must get back to .500! On to the second half of the regular season!
#1 Two Mannings One Cup (6-0) vs. #40 Last Chance (2-4)
Last Chance got their 2nd win this week...are they on a roll?
#9 Hauk Tua (4-2) vs. #10 The Big Breesy (4-2)
Breesy lost the last matchup, Tua needs this for division sweep!
#12 I Beat Medicare (4-2) vs. #15 Hammerheads (4-2)
Medicare beat Hammer a few weeks ago by less than 6 points. Blood in the water?
