Swamp Dogs take the #1 Ranking in Week 2!
Remember to vote in our poll concerning Online Drafting for next year's draft. We are still missing 21 team's vote. Voting ends after week 6 is done, and we will have a run-off vote through week 12 if no option gets more than 50% in our first round.
In week two the scores went wild as big numbers were put up by a small army of teams. Five different teams broke the 150 point mark, along with a 140, 5 130 scores, and 7 different teams putting up over 120. That's a very healthy pile of points for so early in the season.
The leader of the point scoring pack in week 2 was our own Drunken Chef with 158 big ones. Of course we all know that Drunken Chef also owns the record for most points scored in a game with 283.3 points in 2019. The main ingredients to Chef's $20 high score prize this week were QB Dak Prescott with 32.7 against the Giants, and Giants WR Malik Nabers with 35.7 in that same high scoring game that saw the Cowboys beat New York 40 to 37. A nice game to have two studs in for your fantasy week. Drunken Chef also saw impressive numbers with the Ravens D getting 23, and double digit points by every other player on their team. When you check the scoreboard you can see how well you started your lineup by the MER (management efficiency rating) for your optimal lineup, and this week Drunken Chef had a 100% rating. That is just damn impressive and shows a great knowledge of their team. Congrats for an impressive showing Chef!
Swamp Dogs take the #1 spot for week 2, as our week 1 top team, Papa's 69ers, took a tumble with a loss against the 2023 champ We Touchdown There. Swamp Dogs are now the top dog of only 11 teams that remain undefeated, including studs like All Touchdowns Matter, 2 Mannings 1 Cup, and Obsessive Compulsive. Let's see how another week of competition will whittle down those undefeated teams. There are also 11 teams that remain winless, so get it done down there!
In the Jimmy Bassett Guillotine competition, the bottom 4 low scoring teams were cut, to join last week's bottom 4. This week it was Silver Bullet, Wild Turkeys, Wildcats, and Tailgaters joining the decapitated crew. Next week another 4 go down. We keep cutting until the last team is left after week 12 for the $150 prize.
Games of the Week
In week 1 the Swammi-Commish went 1-2 as the #1 ranked Papa's 69ers disappointed me as they went down to We Touchdown There, The Big Breesy beat my prediction as they snuck by 4th & 20, but I did win on my prediction that Swamp Dogs would take out Juan Sum, but my oh my, what a big win for Swamp Dogs, as they take the #1 spot in the rankings. Perhaps I can improve with a 3-0 record for this week's big games.
Week 2 Games of the Week: Stay tuned for my predictions on Thursday.
#1 Swamp Dogs (2-0) vs. #7 Cheeze Wheel (2-0)
#4 Obsessive Compulsive (2-0) vs. #10 Let It Ride (2-0)
#8 Trapsonville (2-0) vs. #9 F'n Trouble (2-0)
