Once a distinguished gentleman, now a Loser

It's never too early to think about the 2026 RFL Draft, which will take place in late August/early September of next year. The Louisville Losers are rethinking their draft strategy for next season and beyond, given their decent success so far in 2025.

"At first, we thought it was because we had a bunch of high impact rookies on our team, and we thought maybe we should be drafting all rookies," GM Jason Seber explained from the Losers team facilities in Louisville, KY. The Losers roster features 3 rookies who have all hit the ground running in Emeka Egbuka, Ashton Jeanty, and Quinshon Judkins, who they acquired in Week 1. "But then we realized, that's not it!! It's the array of distinguished first names on our roster! We have a whole team of great names! Baker! Quinshon! Ashton! Alvin! Puka! Davante! Emeka! Dalton! Xavier! How beautiful is THAT??"

Seber was clearly excited about the team's roster of incredible names and their fast start. "Usually we're 1-4 at this point, maybe 2-3 at best!! All those Tims and Johns and Jims just holding us back. No more!!"

Seber mentioned the Losers are thinking about bringing in Maximillian Luther Albatross to serve as the new Offensive Coordinator, trying to give his players someone in that position to whom his players can relate. "They won't listen much to a dude named Andy or Bill, but by golly, I'm sure they'll be interested in what kinds of plays Maximillian can draw up!" A distinguished gentleman himself, Albatross once led the always relevant Mean Machine to his highest point total of the year with 63 a few seasons ago.
