The new General Manager of JTM paused his incredible round of 57 on the 18th green Tuesday morning to address concerns over the direction the team is heading under his leadership. "Look, everyone, we're doing our best. We're scoring 732 points a week, coming in 2nd on the money list, heck we have the most points in the league right now! I'd say we're doing just fine."
A quick look at the RFL Standings suggests otherwise. This recent dominant Super Bowl winning team has not gotten off on the right foot with an 0-2 start. Despite leading all 12 teams with the most points in the season so far, fellow GM and owner of the Louisville Losers says it's not enough.
Jason Seber said, smirking, "I know exactly how they feel. 132.50 just isn't gonna cut it in the RFL. Not when you're playing Amon-Ra when he decides to catch 9 balls for 115 yards and THREE touchdowns. Not when the Atlanta kicker has 5 freaking field goals because their offense is still a joke! Yeah I average like 192 points a game, and I haven't won this league in years!"
The Wise family is seriously considering a shakeup move. They've discussed adding a 2nd defense just to stop the bleeding from their opponents. They've talked about reinstating Theresa Wise as the brains of the operation. They've even talked about reinstating Jim Wise as the beauty of the operation, clearly a desperate last-option-available back pocket solution. For now though, Matt remains in his GM spot, hoping to allow 110 or less points next week. Welcome to the RFL, Matt, where the best teams rarely win.
