FFL: Playoff Week 2 | NFL: Week 14

Playoffs - Week 1 - Recap

By The Commissioner Tue Dec 2 10:33pm CT

The first week of the playoffs are in the books!  We saw a wide range of results in this opening week that included high and low scoring games, as well as lower seeded teams pulling off wins.  We even had a tied game in our first round!  That’s the thing about the playoffs, new season and a new opportunity for success.  Teams can’t rest on their regular season performance, or they may be sent home.  Let’s see how things played out.

Playoffs

The Official’s Timeout (5-7) vs Louisianimal Ratchets (5-6-1).  This was one of the closest matches this week, ending in a difference of 3 points.  The Official’s Timeout pulled off the 42-39 victory after holding off the Ratchets’ comeback attempt Sunday night.

Gridiron Guru (5-7) vs. NY KILLERS (6-6).  The KILLERS defeated Gridiron Guru convincingly, 101-51, after outstanding performances from his kicker, Jason Myers (21), and defense, Seattle Seahawks (31).

New Kid on the Block (6-5-1) vs. The Dream Killers (6-5-1).  The Dream Killers killed the New Kid on the Block, 79-27, after she failed to wake up and show up of this match.  This was a nightmare on her street.

Black Water (6-6) vs. The Pug Mafia (6-6).  Black Water trained The Pug Mafia to sit and lay down with an 84-60 victory, after a rare sighting from A.J. Brown (23).

Mudd Butt (6-6) vs. Uptown Hot Boys (7-5).  This was another close game, with a difference of 4 points, as Mudd Butt doused the Uptown Hot Boys flame with a 29-25 victory.

2TRILL Chevy Rider (7-5) vs. The Action Jacksons (8-4).  2TRILL Chevy Rider rode off with a 62-54 upset over The Action Jacksons after being swept in their season series.  It’s usually difficult for a team to beat someone three times in a season.

Clown Baby (6-6) vs. West Point Green Waves (7-5).  This match ended in a 66-66 tie and came down to the tiebreaker.  Clown Baby selected his QB, Sam Darnold, and received -1 points towards the tiebreaker.  West Point Green Waves did not select a tiebreaker and received 0 points.  And, zero is greater than -1 points so the Green Waves gets the win.

San Antonio Shockers (4-8) vs. Jones Boys (7-5).  Jones Boys knocked out the San Antonio Shockers, 96-75.  Jones Boys gets to enjoy the two in the pink while the Shockers are stuck with the stink.

Toilet Bowl

2 Da Money (3-9) vs. Unbeatable By You (5-7).  Unbeatable By You beat 2 Da Money 52-37.

4 the Loot (3-9) vs. Cooper Road Cougars (5-7).  Cooper Road Cougars robbed 4 the Loot 80-36.

Deez Nuts (3-9) vs. Dak to the Future (4-8).  Dak to the Future cracked Deez Nuts 39-23.

Whodat Homeboys (1-11) vs. SNOOP HOG (5-7).  Whodat Homeboys slaughtered SNOOP HOG 75-51.

Next week will bring the division winners into the mix and put them to the test.

See you next week!!!
