3 turnovers by Nix dooms Troy to 0-1 start
WEEK 1 IN REVIEW: Lots of points were left on benches this week, including an improbable 28 by Aaron Rodgers, who was on Nate's bench as he lost to the Commish 72 - 36. Josh's huge 4th quarter and Aaron Jones' late TD on Monday night gave the Commish the 1st high score of the year....For the 2nd year in a row, the defending champ won his season opener. Charlie bucks the Champs Curse by downing Steve 48 -29. This improves defending champs' week 1 record to 11 - 25. With the exception of Justin Fields, who had 23 points on Steve's bench, nobody on his roster had more than 7....In a game that featured a combined 106 points on their benches, Jay beats Troy 49 - 31. Troy's Ravens D made league history by being the 1st defense to have a negative score thanks to the new rule put forth by Darren. Three other D's (Bills, Jets, Steelers) also lost points due to points allowed, but still ended with positives numbers....Newest league member, Ryan, came up short in his SFL debut as he lost to Hack 56 - 39. The alleged two best WR's in the NFL did him no favors as #1 overall pick (Via auto-draft) Chase had only 2 catches for 26 yards and Lamb's 4 drops probably cost his QB, Prescott, at least 15 points. Oh well, it's only 1 game and after you lose to me in week 2, I'm sure your team will turn things around....Doc opens up with a 70 - 42 win over Scott as Lamar Jackson to Zay Flowers accounted for half of his points. Lamb's 4 drops didn't help Scott at all either....And finally, Tim, who opened last season with a win while he was in Europe, wins again while on a cruise along the New England coast. This year he beats Darren 70 - 50. Both teams lost receivers in the process. Darren loses Worthy as he gets taken out early by a collision with Kelcy, while Tim loses Kittle to a hamstring, again.....ELSEWHERE: everybody advances with wins in the Survivor Pool except Tim. He failed to play either pool while reportedly being stuck in the buffet line aboard the ship. And in the Pick'ems, the Vikings comeback win gave Steve the top spot with a 14 - 2 mark.
