League, these are depressing times. Mainly because my team is 1-2, this is not the excellence I am used to. However, some of you are doing quite well. We all have this excellent opportunity this week to get on track or get derailed. This is the first of three double-headers, and the only double header until late in the season. Let's go through the standings:
The Diamond Dogs (3-0) - Well done, sir. Your squad is dead last in points against—no easier way to be undefeated than to play cupcakes. I will also point out that you are second in points scored. Not all luck here. You have two of the three best running backs. Solid tight end, but you need a QB, as Kyler stinks. Your wide receivers are decent. Good job so far.
My Ball Zach Ertz (2-1) - You are a bit luckier so far, as you are fifth in scoring and second in points against. Your team is doing ok. Baker is the eighth QB; your best RB is 14th, your receivers are 10, 11, and 12, and your tight end is mid. There is room for improvement here.
Johnny Utah (2-1) - Number one team in scoring right here. How bout those Vikings scoring 52? Not a bad team. Top 6 QB, a handful of running backs in the top 12, the receivers are the weak spot, but they aren't that weak. One guy is great, and the others can be great, maybe. Bowers has been a letdown so far this year.
You can do it (2-1) - Best kicker in the league right here. Only eight points this week. A repeat of last week would have gotten you the win. Bijan is the only good running back you have. This is a problem. You have a whole host of receivers and only one is good. Same with your tight end. Good start, but I'd like to see some improvement.
Pregnant? Try Tee-lenol (2-1) - Hampton finally showed up. You don't have a ton of top players right now. Barkley has been mid, Devante is doing pretty well, Tucker Craft had one of three good weeks, and the defense has been good two of three weeks. You are the lowest-scoring team with a winning record. Don't take it for granted.
Participatory Trophies only (2-1) - Your first week was a dud, but you have been quite good since. The shining spot of this team is the plethora of running backs. Four backs in the top 10. Also, the best WR so far. And the top two tight ends. Wow. You need a QB though. I think you can find a trade partner. Me
Red Bird Gang (1-2) - Mahomes just hasn't been it. He is down two receivers, so that might improve. Bijan and Montgomery have been good. Cam looks good and will likely see more touches. You have a couple of good receivers, and I think your team is actually in good shape.
The Big Lavontski (1-2) - Well, not too much to say here. Now I have three receivers out. My running backs have been a colossal disappointment. TE too. Herbert is the bright spot.
Fire the Cannons! (0-3) - You have scored more than I, which isn't saying much. You have had the most points scored against, by a lot. It's actually impressive. You are 3/3 in playing the top scorer that week. You have Lamar, the best QB in fantasy. You have Odunze as a top 3 WR. That's literally it.
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT (0-3) - Just not scoring enough points. Your opponents haven't won any of these games; your team just hasn't scored much at all. Hurts and Smith-Njigba are the only bright spots. Conner is done for the year.
Be active on the waiver wire and add players. Lots of good people out there.
