Draft Analysis

Three sources for post draft rankings

Here is my analysis of every team post-draft, and before a game is played.  I am going to post this on the message board because the "news" articles I write don't get archived.  I would like to see my analysis as perfect as possible and admire my analytical acumen in the future. These are not grades, but sorted in order from best to worst.

1) Participatory - Best keepers going into the draft.  Bo Nix should be better than last year, and he was outstanding last year as a rookie.  Achane and Bucky should serve you well as top ten runners.  Receivers are the strongest part of the team.  CeeDee, Puka, and Brian Thomas are a good squad. This is the best receiving corps. If you don't make the playoffs, I think it will be due to bad luck—injury or playing everyone at their best on their best week.  Additionally, you have a strong defense and a reliable tight end.

2) My Ball Zach Ertz - Baker is good.  I think he is going to be a top QB this year, with an MVP award forthcoming. The starting backs are mid-tier players; they are certainly capable and have a decent enough ceiling. Starting receivers should be great, and you also have a few players who could emerge as top talent. Kelce may be past his prime and was very inconsistent last season, but he is capable of big games. Texans have reasonable projections on defense.

3) Johnny Utah - Allen is the next best QB. None of the running backs screams superstar.  I do think you have some real nice potential, and hopefully one of these rookies is the real deal.  The small receiver group is excellent.  I think the second-best starting three of the league.  Bowers is the top tight end, and the Vikings should be very good on defense.

4) ALRIGHT - Nice receivers, QB, bench.  Running backs are not top-tier, but they should be good for a dozen a week.  Tight ends are boom or bust.  Former great tight end Andrews could return to form, or be bad again, and also, the new guy (Warren) has reasonable projections, but you never really know how a rookie will do.  Defense was very inconsistent last year. We will see how they are with the new DC.

5) Fire the Cannons! - Lamar is the best QB. The starting running backs are strong. The bench running backs are questionable.  Judkins hasn't signed yet, which is weird.  Mixon is hurt for at least a month.  The receivers are number twos.  At least the receivers are starting the season.  But if Rice and Godwin come back and look like last year, this is going to be a force.  I have employed the same strategy in another league.  Gotta make it through six games.  Njoku and the Steelers are both solid picks.

6) You can do it - Burrow and Bijan are the highlights of this squad. Aaron Jones is solid, and the rest are mid.  Kupp, Hill, and Nabers should be good.  Kupp and Hill certainly have the ability, but one has strife, and the other has a new team. Pitts and Loveland as tight ends.  If Pitts finally hits his hype, then you hit the keeper jackpot.  Loveland has good hype, too, in Chi town. The Packers, with Micah, should have a formidable defense, and I bet that kills you to admit.

7) Red Bird - I don't love this team on first glance. Mahomes can be great, but the last few seasons, he hasn't been.  Gibbs is predicted to be RB1, and Kamara gets lots of passes. I just learned that he's never rushed for 1000 yards.  The wideouts are middle-tier guys.  Capable of good games, but I don't think it will be a regular occurrence.  Hockenson is fine. Eagles are projected to have a good defense.

8) CeeDee Nuts - Fields and Purdy seem like a nice pairing.  I think with those two, you should be able to catch good performances by playing the matchups. Four starting running backs on the squad, and the best from last year (Barkley).  The receiving corps is a little weak; nobody is projected to be top tier, but they all have that potential. Ravens, IMO, have the best defense and will be good.

9) The Big Levonteski - I don't love the team.  I didn't get a top guy at any position.  Daniels should be outstanding. I worry about his durability as a petite guy. I think I have two very good backs and two decent backup backs.  Hopefully, Henry is a beast again. My receivers are suspect.  I love Evans, but for him to be my number one guy makes me nervous. Hopefully, Diggs and Worthy are good. LaPorta is good, but I may have overpaid.  Streaming defenses is always my strategy.

10) The Diamond Dogs - Season 4 of Ted Lasso is filming. Kyler, as I say every year, can be amazing.  He will probably be amazing a few times during the season, then get hurt or suck. McCaffrey is a top player when healthy; missing last season, he should be well-rested.  Taylor is a sneaky guy and is great if he stays healthy as well. Your receivers are lacking.  Like my team, I have a lot of hope here. Kittle and the Broncos are both among the best of their groups.
