Little Lennie's Fantasies
Going to take this newsletter to update everyone on their Add/Drop status. Here are the teams and # of moves you have left:
Now, I need to clarify the Chuddahead moves. Back in Week 5, Eddie dropped Braelon Allen to pick up Jaxon Dart. I accidentily added Ray Davis as a drop with that move, causing him to drop 2 players to pick up Dart. So while checking my moves today I picked up on this, contacted Eddie and restored Davis. Without Davis on his team this week, Eddie had been forced to drop Bryce Young to pick up a running back to make his 9 man starting roster. Knowing he now has Davis back, he asked and I reversed that add/drop move. He then put Davis in his lineup. He then dropped Young to pick up Matt Prater and start him. Long story short, I verified all of his moves, corrected my mistake, and he has actually only used 5 moves. My fault, I own it, fixed it, and now everything should be correct. If anyone thinks their number of moves left is wrong, first go to Reports, click on Transactions, then check week to week to verify. If you still feel the numbers are wrong then contact me and we will get it right.
That being said, remember, these are the number of moves we all have left, including any playoff run your team might make! Use them wisely.
Another reminder, while we are deep into the trading season, it has thus far been pretty quiet. A few moves, but that's been it. With that in mind, the trading deadline is the Wednesday night between weeks 10 and 11. This is Week 8, so Week 10 games are Sunday, November 9th. That means the deadline for our 2025 trading season is midnight, November 12. Any late minute trades need to be posted on our message board for them to be accepted, unless I am contacted by phone. We just need 1 team to post and verify.
Another week, another #1 ranking for the Bad Boyz as they dropped 108 on The Iron on their way to their 6th win. The surprise in the rankings had the Beach Court Blitz bumping the Straphangers out of the #2 spot after their 112-96 high scoring win over the Road Dogs. The Strappies' Week 7 loss to the Hawks dropped them down to #3 to round out the top 3. There are now 4 teams with 6-3 records, once again proving that 2025 is shaping up as a year where everyone could remain in this thing for many weeks to come! And as a side note, the Road Dog watch for their first win continues. They are now 0-9 and 2 more losses from tying the Thundering Herd for most consecutive losses (11). This weekend they face the Chuddaheads whose team has multiple players on bye. Could this be the week the Puppies end their streak? We might know as early as today as the Chuddas starting 9 will be done after the 4:00 games.
Little Lennie's Quick Picks
Road Dogs Even vs. the Chuddaheads... Could this be the week? The Puppies made some moves this week, including a trade with The Iron, pulling out all of the stops as they desperately try and get that elusive win. Nice add in Orande Gadsen, the rookie TE for the Chargers who looks like the real deal. He spotted the Dogs 12 points as they have raced to a 22-0 early lead. In the meantime, the fill-in Bombers will be starting Dart, in Philadelphia against a tough Eagles D. While the computer is still favoring the Bombers, Little Lennie thinks that the time has come for people in Dogville to finally rejoice as they end their 9 game skid with a low scoring 5 point win!
Beach Court Blitz -3 vs. the BillyClubs... Premier match for Slimeball supremacy has the 6-3 Blitz looking to put some distance between themselves and the 5-4 defending champs. Both teams have 3-1 divisional records so a win is big there as well. The Blitz come to Cement Pond Stadium winners of 4 of their last 5 and 3 straight. They are healthy (for a change) and scoring in bunches. The champs are no slouches themselves, led by Dak Prescott, the #4 ranked QB in our league! The loss of A.J. Brown will no doubt hurt the Clubbers, but Chris Olave seems to have found his groove in New Orleans. The computer gives the Clubbers a slight edge and, being so closely alligned, Little Lennie will bow to it. Clubbers eek out a 3 point "W" while a drunken GM Dash Riprock celebrates by chasing poor Ellie May 'round the mansion! This division looks to go undecided till season's end!
Hellraisers +15 vs. the Bad Boyz... Another great match has the 6-3 Satanic Forces travelling to Essex to take on league best 6-3 the Boyz! The Boyz are a perfect 4-0 in the Monty Hall division and far and away the top offense in the league, led by Jonathan Taylor, Javonte Williams, and the surprising George Pickens. They are loaded! For the Devil-doers, Rico Dowdle suddenly looks like the 2nd coming of O.J. Simpson! And the rookie Egbuka continues to shine as well. Little Lennie sees this one as a very high scoring game. The computer has the Boyz as big favorites but Little Lennie isn't convinced on that, especially with unknown weapon Joe Flacco taking on the pathetic Jets today! But you can't go aainst the total talent of the Boyz. When the final minutes tick away come Monday night put this one inj the win column for the surging Boyz by 9! Drinks on the house at the Blue Marlin, celebrating another win!
Government Mule +14 vs. The Iron... Neither team can seem to get much traction going in 2025, with the Mule entering today's game with the worst ranked offense, by far, in the league! PFIII has made a few moves but the results remain the same. This team is averaging a mere 49 points per game in the 9 man era! No bueno! The Iron is a massive computer fav with Josh Allen and his Bills taking on the Panthers and looking to keep pace with our Patriots. As of presstime the Mule had a couple of bye holes in their lineup, but honestly, Coach P. feasts on underdogs and this weekend should be no different. The Iron moves to .500 with their 17 point blowout of the furloughed Government forces!
Sunnyvale Shit Hawks +2 vs. TripleA... The tightest division in the league finds these 2 Click opponents looking to stay within range of the Strappies. The Arsonists come in as slight favorites, in part due to a solid 1-2 punch of McCaffrey and Jacobs at running back. For the Hawks, Danny Brown seems content on riding on the wings of upstart Drake Maye along with fantastic RB Bijan Robinson. This game won't be decided until Monday night when Patrick Mahomes takes on the Commanders. Little Lennie says put it down as a win for TripleA by 7 when the dust clears.
Straphangers -19 vs. Moulton Lava... No player has gone for either team yet the computer has Coach Q.'s club as whopping 98% favorites! Go figure. Mayfield is rolling...Metcalf is rolling...CeeDee Lamb is back and, you guessed it, rolling! While the Power Rankings may have "dropped" them to #3, Little Lennie still sees a team loaded with all-pros who should be a major factor come playoff-time. Today Coach Q. will teach the Lava owner an important lesson. That it's not how much you can talk on the message board, but how much your players can do "the walk" on the battle field that counts! The Hillies pound Burnhams Field with TD's in their 22 point romp!
Good luck to all today. Remember to check your Add/Drops. Any questions, reach out to me.
