Little Lennie's Fantasies

The trading deadline came and went this past Wednesday and things were relatively quiet. There were 3 notable trades (other than the Blitz acquiring K. Shakir for an Add/Drop move) and of the 3 really just 1 could remotely be considered a blockbuster. That had the Clubbers sending A.J. Brown and C.J. Stroud to the Strappies for Aaron Rodgers and D.K. (what's up with all the abbreviated names anyway?) Metcalf. Coach Q.'s deadline deals continued for another year.

The Arsonists sent RB Kimani Vidal to the Boyz for WR Ladd McConkey while the Mule packaged Geno Smith and Stefon Diggs for the Chuddaheads' David Montgomery and Michael Penix Jr.. And that really was about it. Coach Q. wisely moved players and picked up a few Add/Drop moves along the way to still have 1 left in the tank as his team marches towards the playoffs. With that in mind here is an updated list of everone's remaining Add/Drop moves. Make sure you agree with what I believe are your remaining moves.

BillyClubs...7 remaining    Hellraisers...5 remaining    Road Dogs...4 remaining          B.C. Blitz...3 remaining    Chuddaheads...3 remaining    Mule...2 remaining              B.Boyz...2 remaining    TripleA...2 remaining    Straphangers...1 remaining                Hawks...1 remaining    Moulton Lava...0 remaining    The Iron...0 remaining

Another week another win for the Boyz as they cruized past Government Mule by a comfortable margin of 115-66. The Clammers have won 4 in a row, are 9-3 and only have to worry about the 7-5 Hellraisers as far as wrapping up the Monty Hall division. Over in the Slimeball division Custodial Nation has opened up a 2 1/2 game lead over the defending champions, the BillyClubs who suffered a 45-45 tie with the Road Dogs, just crippling their chances of a divisional title. It's now The Blitz's to lose. And over in the Click division the Straphangers, at 8-4, maintain a 1 game lead over TripleA and 2 games over protege Danny Brown's 6-6 Hawks. And speaking of those Hawks, in one of my recent newsletters I mentioned them as a team to avoid. Well, the Power Rankings are now showing them that same kinda love as they have leapfrogged up to #2 in the rankings due in large part to their 4th ranked offense and 3rd ranked total roster strength! Danny must have picked up a few pointers from his old mentor along the way. His old mentor whose team somehow managed to drop to 6th in those same rankings! Dave is not getting the respect from the computer he demands! Let's see how his team responds this week to that disparaging ranking.

With 5 games left one update I am sure we have all noticed is the site now displays on our matchups the projected # of fantasy points for each player. This is a nice feature which can be used as a guideline for owners looking to start their best lineup. Now it's only a guideline and sometimes our hunches may be better at playing certain players. But if someone has a player projected for 5 points in their lineup and a player of the same position projected for 9 on their bench, it would be in your best interests to check into those 2. Maybe the computer likes one players' matchup better or maybe a lingering injury is there. Either way, the improved option is a good one and can only help putting our best lineup in each week.

Little Lennie's Quick Picks

Road Dogs +4 vs. the Chuddaheads... The Puppies are off to a fantastic start thanks to TreVeyon Henderson's 25 points on Thursday night but in spite of that the computer still favors the Baghdad Bombers by 64%. Couple of questionable receiver and running back starts might be in play here but for the Chuddaheads they need to take care of their own business and with Matthew Stafford facing a tough Seahawks defense it will be no small task to overcome this deficit. Can the Road Dogs be on the verge of a 2 game unbeaten streak? Remember, it was the Chuddas in Week 8 who gave the Dogs their first and only win of the season by a score of 89-61. Are we looking at a repeat up set just a few weeks later? Little Lennie thinks that in spite of some questions in their lineup, the Dogs capitalize on a banged up (Dobbins now out for possibly the season) running game for the Chuddas and come away with their 2nd win, this time by 9!

Beach Court Blitz -10 vs. the BillyClubs... Custodial Nation is on a mission to erase the injury plagued nightmare of 2024 and is 2/3rds of the way towards meeting their goal. This week they take on an embarrassed Clubber team still licking their wounds after last week's 45-45 tie with the Dogs. The division comes down to this game as the Blitz hold a 21/2 game lead and being up 31/2 with just 4 to go would be almost insurmountable for the Clubbers. And at 5-6-1 a loss this weekend would really hurt their chances of defending their title. Yep this one is a huge game for both teams. This game won't be decided until late Monday night with both teams having players going then. When the late night dust settles put this one in the win column for the Nation as a superlative running game led by Devon Achane should be enough to overcome any Prescott heroics. The Nation by 5! Things are starting to get ugly between Granny and her GM, Dash Riprock.

Hellraisers +17 vs. the Bad Boyz... If there is a lineup that can stop the Boyz then maybe it is the one they face this weekend against the JoePo led Satanic forces. Lamar Jackson is back, the Ravens are desperate for wins and so aren't the Bills and running back James Cook. Last time Jackson faced the Browns he went off for 33 fantasy points and this week could mirror that! Little Lennie hates, just hates, giving either of these 2 teams any McLovin but everything seems to be lining up for a Hellraiser upset! The computer has this gamed for the Boyz but by a small 55% margin. Little Lennie calls the upset here...Satanic Duo by 3 as they bring to a halt the Clammers 4 game winning streak!

The Iron -15 vs. Government Mule... PFIII's last stand just might be this weekend as his 4-8 Mule cannot afford another loss with just 5 games to go. Gone is the message board chatter from Commander Favazza about his team's prospects for winning the title. It's like he's become a beaten owner, one who has tried to overcome his team's lack of scoring with move after move to no avail. And if he thinks his club will get any mercy from Coach Polizzia and his Iron this weekend, then think again! At 6-6 Paul has used his last moves on getting his team to the promised land. There is no tomorrow for The Iron, just win today! The good news for The Geritol Kids. Allen is at home and taking on a very beatable Tampa Bay while the Mule's only option at QB, Michael Penix Jr. has only had 1 game in his last 5 where he has thrown for more than 1 TD. No muy bueno for the Mule. The Iron comes out of Federal Stadium with a nice 9 point win. Oh and it's free popcorn at the game as the consessioners are all government employees happy to be back to work.

Sunnyvale Shit Hawks -2 vs. TripleA... While the Hawks are slightly favored the computer has shifted very much in towards the Arsonists after Drake Maye's disappointing 6 fantasy points on Thursday night. Both teams are fighting to stay within distance of the Strappies who are 8-4, but with Christian McCaffrey and Josh Jacobs both looking at big potential fantasy days, the Hawks may come up on the short end of this match. For Danny's team to have a chance Bijan Robinson and Smith-Njigba will need to come up big. But unless that happens, Little Lennie says the Arsonists torch the Hawks by 11!

Moulton Lava +19 vs. the Straphangers... What in the hell has happened to the Lava? At one time they were 4-1 and the toast of the league. But since then they have dropped 5 straight and 7 of their last 8. And during this 5 game losing streak the Lava has only managed to average 50 points per game with our 9 man roster! Is it all luck as Burnhams Field owner Wayne would like you to believe? Little Lennie would like to give Wayne more credit than that. His team has been hit with the injury bug, now losing Garret Wilson for multiple games. Look, when you have to put 3 backup running backs in your lineup because of injuries then you know your team is in trouble. And Wayne is out of moves while the trading deadline has passed. His team is his team. Which is good news for the preying Straphangers and Coach Q.. Little Lennie has them favored by 19 while the computer says they are virtually (97%) guaranteed a win this weekend. With McBride on a tear to compliment Barkley, Jeanty, Lamb, and Brown, this game will get ugly! Dave wants the Click division and a win today by 29 will go a long way towards accomplishing that feat!

Good luck to all today as we spiral closer and closer to Turkey Day and the Christmas season. If it's gonna get cold at least we can enjoy a few holidays along the way.
