Inside the LFFL Week 8 Results

Week 8 results include no close games.  The closest game was decided by 11.12 points.  The Carpetbaggers and Butt Kickers rise to the top of the league and tied at the top of the Pickle Division at 6-2.  Meanwhile EZ Dubs drops one while Boomer & Bunker win their 5th straight with both teams tied at 5-3 atop the Ketchup Division. Trash Talking Mimes (5-3) are the only other team with a winning record.

  • Rolling Thunder (4-4) 129.38 Power Pugs (3-5) 94.78: Denny cruises to a win with James Cook running wild with 33.6, Danny Dimes Jones passes and runs for 23.18 and Javonte Williams checks in with 17.4.  My team couldn't compete but Chase Brown comes alive with 24 while Tucker Kraft goes off on SNF with 29.8.
Boomer & Bunker (5-3) 78.56 Art Donovan U (2-6) 60.4: JK Dobbins led all scorers in this one with 13.1 for Boomer.  Caleb Williams topped ADU with 12.8
Big City Carpetbaggers (6-2) 81.72 Chaka Khan (3-5) 70.6: Terry wins a low scoring game with Troy Franklin topping out at 23.9. Jason got 24.2 out of Tua and 23.6 from RJ Harvey but had to swallow two zeros and a 1.1 in his lineup.
Butt Kickers (6-2) 144.96 Blame the Refs (3-5) 131.62: In this high scoring family feud the old man Bob comes through with the Bucs Defense scoring 26, Jalen Hurts has 25.36, Derrick Henry runs for 19.1, Dallas Goedert is good for 16.3 while Chris Boswell kicks for 16. Rob received a big week from Jonathan Taylor with 36.4, Mike Pittman has 19.5, Devon Achane runs for 17.6 but still falls short.
KELLZKRUSHERZ (4-4) 109.68 Men of Steel (4-4) 97.12: Kelly's team is getting hot with Bo Nix topping the scoring with 24.88, Ladd McKonkey has 17.8, Ja'Marr Chase runs free for 15.1 and the Chargers D/ST adds 15. Ed's boys are led by Joe Flacco's 24.32 and Kimani Vidal runs for 19.2.
Trash Talking Mimes (5-3) 120.52 Password is Taco (2-6) 92.88:  Erik and Bill rise Saquon Barkley's 31.4 and Josh Allen's 23.22 while newly acquired Oronde Gadsden scores 16.2 and Kayshon Boutte scores 15. TTM wins despite two zeros in the lineup.
Gangus Cons (4-4) 139.72 EZ Dubs (5-3) 74.32: Breece Hall has his best game with 33.86, Patrick Mahomes scores 24.96 on MNF throwing to Travis Kelce with 18.9 and Kareen Hunt with 16.7.  EZ Dubs put up a dud this wek with Jaylen Waddles' 18.4 leading the scoring.
Week 8 Player of the Week: Breece Hall 33.86 edges James Cook 33.6 for RT. Jonathan Taylor had 36.4 but BTR loses.
Week 8 Bench player of the week: With Bye mageddon in week 8 most benches were empty but no player would have meant victory if he played.
NFL Picks: Ron, Ed, Kelly and Boomer topped the week ,all going 8-5.  Denny remains 5 games clear of Gary and Boomer overall.
Potent Notables: Last week was Byemegeddon in the NFL.  Looking at the lineups for our league and the available guys on the bench, it was a struggle for most teams to field a lineup.  This week's bye week teams include the Bucs, Jets, Browns and Eagles.  It was also National Tight End week.  Tucker Kraft was the top scorer in our league with Travis Kelce, Dallas Goedert and Oronde Gadsden scoring over 15. George Kittle returned as well.
QB's are normally dominant in top scorers for Fantasy leagues.  Our league is no different with 8 of the top 10 scorers lining up behind center.  However the overall top scorer so far has been Jonathan Taylor having an MVP season with 204.1 points for a 25.52 weekly average. Patrick Mahomes has returned to the top of the QB scoring, second overall with 199.96 pts a 25 average.
The Steelers took another one on the chin this past weekend against the Packers. Jordan Love picked the Steeler secondary apart.  He was the #1 Fantasy QB this week with 11 QB's topping 20 points.  The Steel Curtain is melting. They couldn't stop Tucker Kraft or any slant pattern.  This week the challenge is even more difficult as the team travels to Indianapolis to take on the top NFL team in the 7-1 Colts led by Danny 'Indiana' Jones and league first half MVP Jonathan Taylor.
