Bully                                                                     Issue #523

The Cowboys have been dominant.

Few reigning champions have come into the following season as dominant as The Cowboys have in 2025. In week 4, they faced Allbrite Picks in what turned out to be a shootout and the highest total points scored in any game this season with 569 total points scored. The Cowboys prevailed again, winning 297-272, extending their undefeated record at 4-0 and extending their points lead to -123 points with 1079 total points/averaging a hair under 270 PPG. It has been quite an impressive performance thus far. I don’t want to take anything away from Kon, when he was on the Cowboys they came out of a dark period and they eventually jelled as a unit. Kon took a lot of credit for their championship run, I’m not saying he didn’t deserve it but I think that rubbed Ron the wrong way a little bit, I think when Ron pushed for Kon took get his own team, I think Ron thought he should be compensated in some way within the game, legally, always legally. I believe he thought he was getting that #1 pick in some fashion, that didn’t happen. I think all of this rubbed Ron the wrong way and he and Dino came into the season with chips on his shoulders and The Cowboys delivered a hell of a draft. This team is cruising right now. This team isn’t just winning, they’re message board bullies. If Ron isn’t sending you Ric Flair Wooooooo meme’s then the teams mascot/mouthpiece Vin Roc is roasting you in a text and then it’s class dismissed. This is the fun bunch Cowboys, nothing serious, just taking names and stacking wins. It’s been one of if not the best starts by a reigning champion in OSFL history. A solid Allbrite Picks team falls to 2-2.

The Cowboys aren’t the only threat in the Southern Comfort division. G-Force got back on the wining track, after losing their first game of the season in week 3. G-Force went toe to toe with Phriends of the Devil, 247-241, to improve to 3-1. Phriends of the Devil have been in nothing but wars. Their last 3 games have been decided by 11, 13 and 6 points. This loss drops POTD to 2-2. G-Forces has been in their own wars as their last 3 games have been decided by even less, 13, 7 and 6 points. XXXL bounced back from their first loss of the season with a dominant performance over Dynamic Duo, 276-215, to improve to 3-1, remaining in first place in the Metro West division. XXXL also owns the #2 overall offense with 956 points/averaging 239 PPG. Dynamic Duo falls to 0-4, remaining the only winless team in the OSFL. It’s the worst start in franchise history for Dynamic Duo. G’ss Mafia came up with an impressive win over Bronx Swag, 240-200, to improve to 2-2. G’ss Mafia went from scoring the lowest score of the season by any team last week (146 points), to their highest score of the season in an almost 100 point swing. That’s how fast things can turn. Bronx Swag went from logging a high score last week (270 points) to their lowest score of the season. Listen man, that’s how things roll in today’s OSFL. You’re a king one day and pauper the next or you’re knocked on your ass one day and come roaring back to claim your own knock. Showtime wins again, beating The Wolfpack, 230-163, to improve to 3-1. It was Showtime’s highest score of the season to keep pace with XXXL in the Metro West division. The Wolfpack falls to 1-3 as their injury riddled offense falls to last in total points scored. 3 All The Way had their best game of the season, thrashing TWB, 287-209. 3ATW’s offensive output has improved over every week of the season, which has to instill confidence as they improve to 2-2. TWB falls to 1-3.

As September comes to a close I predict one thing. Everything is going to get a lot tighter. The teams at the top will battle for supremacy, while the teams at the bottom struggle to survive and move up. The races for divisions and playoff spots are going to get heated the closer we get to the end of the season. We have a long, long way to go and you better believe and set your mind to this, no matter who you play, how bad or beat up they look, like the movie says, it’s going to be one battle after the next.

Games of the Week

Week #5

Week 4 picks (3-3)/Season (9-9)

This weeks breakdowns feature each teams MVP, biggest disappointment and biggest surprise thru 4 games.

The Cowboys (4-0) Vs G-Force (3-1)

Well, well, well, what do we have here. An early season match up of the top two teams in the Southern Comfort division battling for supremacy. On Tuesday morning, ron called me all excited about a story Vin Roc would be telling about the time when they were kids that Don Guenette got beat up at the bus stop by a girl. Ron said, we saw it, we remember it, it definitely happened. Ron’s anecdote on this story was, The Cowboys are going to beat Don worse than she did. I get the Four Horsemen and Ric Flair banging his alligator shoes on the podium, running back and forth screaming Wooooooo memes!  Every week. Vin ROC texts me to tell me how happy he is to be part of the Cowboys, how he’s risen from the ashes and he’s telling me he’s given ron his two cents on what roster moves should be made. It’s all very chaotic and crazy and fun. The Cowboys are winning and having a good time doing it. The way The Cowboys season is going is how we all envision are season to be go at the start of a fresh new year. When you’re the reigning, defending, undisputed, undefeated champions coming into the season with a chip on your shoulders, you really cant ask for a better experience than The Cowboys are in the midst of. The Cowboys get hit with some major BYE’s in week 5, losing #9 overall RB Josh Jacobs/31.6 PPG and #18 WR DK Metcalf/23.3 PPG. Both players had their best games of the year in week 4 with each scoring 45+ points. Jordan Addison (4-114/29.4 points) had a BIG first game back from suspension and Stefon Diggs (6-101/32.1 points) had his first BIG game of the year. Addison and Diggs will start in place of Jacobs and Metcalf. Jordan Love is also on a BYE, but the Cowboys will happily start Dak Prescott in week 5. The Cowboys MVP thru 4 games is #1 RB Jonathan Taylor/45.5 PPG. Taylor leads the NFL with 414 rushing yards and is second with 77 carries. The Cowboys have no disappointing players, everyone is pulling his weight. The biggest surprise is #1 TE Jake Ferguson/29.3 PPG. Ferguson leads all TE’s with 34 catches. The next closest TE is Trey McBride with 24 catches.

G-Force is off to an outstanding start start at 3-1 and firmly in 2nd place in the Southern Comfort division. I golf with G-Force’s driving force Don Guenette a lot and this past weekend, Don was patting himself on the back from being one of a few teams bringing new blood into the OSFL. Don’s son Nic drafted this team with his father, as did The BIG Show’s son Tom “The Little Show” Zednik. Paul O’Leary brought his son and thank god he did because Paul was dancing with mechanical elves at the draft. G’ss Mafia brought the youngest drafter. I’m sorry I don’t know his name, but he is his partners son. The point is, these young people came in and helped their teams. Don is just pompous when he says it. Don thinks of himself as an innovator who is ahead of the curve and he thinks he’s just smarter than everyone else. The kid is making Don look good, no doubt about it. It’s early but the Quinshon Judkins pick is turning out to be the steal of the draft in round 13. That’s a league winner type of pick. Judkins was my favorite RB coming out of this years draft class. He missed week 1 and since then his usage has skyrocketed from 10, to 19, to 25 touches. Judkins is getting all the usage in Cleveland and he’s scored a TD in each of the last 2 games. Right now, because of where they got him, this is on of if not the best pick of the 2025 draft and a HUGE surprise considering he missed all of camp due to a domestic assault issue. G-Force’s MVP and another major surprise has been #2 QB Justin Herbert/48.9 PPG. Herbert has thrown 7 TD’s and hit 2 bonuses. The biggest disappointment has got to be #13 RB Saquon Barkley/29.5 PPG. It’s not that Barkley has played badly, its just a water down version of what we saw from him in 2024. Thur 4 games in 2024, Barkley was averaging 43.7 PPG, 14 more PPG than he’s scoring in 2025. If 2024 Barley showed up in week 3, G-Force would be undefeated. The only player on a BYE for G-Force is DJ Moore but the return of Xavier Worthy and the emergence of Judkins makes Moore expendable. I think Don would move DJ Moore in a heartbeat for the right price. The Cowboys have already logged 2 weekly high scores. Chuba Hubbard is banged up. This should be a great back and forth game. I’m not picking against The Cowboys because everything is just clicking for them. When you’re in that zone the balls just bounces your way. G-Force has played a lot of close games. In order for them to beat The Cowboys, they would need Saquon Barkley to step up against a tough Broncos defense and Brock Bowers needs to get on track. Bowers has only averaged 14 PPG over his last 3 games and there’s a chance he misses week 5. I just don’t see G-Force beating The Cowboys if those guys don’t step up. I’m taking The Cowboys to win again.

Bronx Swag (1-3) Vs The XXXL 69ers (3-1)

Bronx Swag is in last place in the Metro West division. They do have the 2nd most points in the division but strangely they’ve scored more points than have been scored against them. There are 7 teams that have scored more points than have been scored against them and they’re the only one with a losing record. Bronx Swag’s lone victory came via the week 3 high score. They don’t have any major BYE’s but they’re currently dealing with Lamar Jackson’s hamstring injury. The only other QB on the roster was rookie Cam Ward who is currently the 32nd/lowest scoring starting NFL QB averaging a minuscule 21.3 PPG. Bronx Swag wasn’t ready to head into battle with Cam Ward so they traded rookie RB Bhayshul Tuten and their week 4 Supplemental draft (K Will Reichard) for rookie QB Jaxson Dart who quarterbacked the Giants to an upset victory over the undefeated Chargers in his first NFL start. It was an impressive introduction to the NFL. Unfortunately for Dart he lost his best offensive weapon Malik Nabors for the season. Lamar Jackson is on a BYE week 7, so if his hamstring is serious, he could get rested in week 6. There’s a strong possibility that Bronx Swag is forced to roll with Jaxson Dart for the next 3 games. Coming into the season I thought Christian McCaffrey was cooked. He’s obviously not the CMC from his prime. His elusiveness and speed are gone. His rushing skills have eroded. His 3.1 YPC is 1.5 yards below his career average, but he is still a usage monster. CMC entered week 4 leading the NFL with 100 touches and then received another 30 touches on Thursday night, the second time this season he received 30 touches in a game and he did it on a short week. He’s 29 years old and averaging a career high 26 touches per game. Are the 49ers attempting to kill this guy? He is the only healthy weapon they have left. McCaffrey is clearly Bronx Swag’s MVP, but he’s also for my money the biggest surprise. No one can tell me they envisioned CMC leading the league in touches at a career high touch rate at 29. Come on. Bronx Swag’s biggest disappointment is #28 RB Chase Brown/19.6 PPG. Brown has yet to crack the 50 rush yard threshold in any game this season and he only has 1 TD. Bronx Swag might also be one of the the only teams in OSFL history to enter week 5 without a single starting player hitting a bonus. Frankie Montesino is the type of person who loves to finalize things before the actual end comes. He has a fanatical rush to judgment. Well if we lose this game were done, it’s over. No, you’re not. You could technically lose the next 4 in a row and still be mathematically alive to make the playoffs. I understand the urgency but things have to play out on their own timeline. The more you lose the harder it gets obviously and desperation sets in, in one’s mind, but too many times I’ve seen seasons turn on a dime. At this point in this crazy season, everyone is dealing with something they didn’t expect to happen or prepare for. If you know you’ve got enough to win games, then you must have a hold the line mentality until you catch the right wave and then ride it all the way in.

XXXL has a very strong squad that has avoided major injuries for the most part. They did lose their kicker (Tyler Bass) in week one, but made a great trade to fix the issue. They’ve also lost Najee Harris and Tyjae Spears but neither was expected to be a major contributor to this offense. I might make this suggestion to several teams, draft 2 kickers, because they basically were forced to use their first 2 supplemental draft picks on kickers and their not the only team dealing with kicker craziness. Last week I called the Baltimore Ravens defense a get well defense and oh boy were they. Patrick Mahomes was a bit lackluster over the first 3 games of the season, averaging 41.3 PPG, having thrown just 3 TD passes, but he erupted in week 4 against the Ravens, scoring a season high 56.5 PPG, completing 25 passes for 270 yards and throwing 4 TD passes which were all season highs. I can’t put my “Mahomes is back” stamp of approval on this yet, I need to see this type of production at least one more time. I would play anyone I could against the Baltimore Ravens defense for the rest of the season. #2 WR Amon-Ra St. Brown/34.6 PPG has been XXXL’s MVP. St. Brown has scored a league leading 6 TD’s over his last 3 games. XXXL has 2 major surprises, both of whom could be league winners. #8 RB Travis Etienne/32.5 PPG is born again. Etienne is tied for second with Jonathan Taylor with two 100 yard games and he’s scored a TD in 3 consecutive games. For the second year in a row #6 WR Quentin Johnston/27.8 PPG was a 20th round pick. Johnston has scored 4 TD’s this season and 12TD’s over his last 18 games dating back to last year. Johnston has scored 7 TD’s in his last 10 road games. Week 6 at Miami, Johnston makes a solid TD prop bet. I thought XXXL drafted Tee Higgins a little too high in the 3rd round. Through little fault of his own, Higgins has been unusable. Since Joe Burrow went down, Higgins has caught 4-47 with zero TD’s/6.3 PPG in his last 2 games. As bad as Jake Browning and the Bungles have looked and it has been atrocious, no team is ever as bad or good as they look from week to week. I’m not saying Higgins is going to score 30 points any time soon, but they’ve got some tough games over the next 3 weeks, they’re going to be down and forced to throw the ball a lot. Needless to say, WR #59 Tee Higgins/10.6 PPG is XXXL’s biggest disappointments and as good as the selections of Etienne and Johnston were (and they were among the best picks of the 2025 draft), Higgins is the least productive pick made in the first 3 rounds thus far. Of the 5 teams that drafted a WR with their first round pick (Amon-Ra St. Brown), XXXL is the only team who’s pick is producing at the level they expected and the only one with a winning record. Ja’Marr Chase (Dynamic Duo 0-4) has no QB, CeeDee Lamb (The Wolfpack 1-3) is set to miss his second straight game, Justin Jefferson (G’ss Mafia 2-2) is finally starting to get on track and Malik Nabors (TWB 1-3) is done for the season. The high end WR’s are making a strong case for the draft to go back to a RB heavy first round. XXXL has no significant BYE’s in week 5. XXXL is a formidable opponent, the top team in the Metro West division. XXXL is tied with Showtime for the best record (3-1) and they lead the division in points. I do think Bronx Swag will come to play. Jaylen Waddle is the new #1 WR in Miami. Garrett Wilson has a great match up against Dallas. Fill in Ravens QB Cooper Rush may have to rely heavily on dump offs to TE Mark Andrews. What I’m not buying is that Jaxson Dart is a starting caliber OSFL QB after 1 game. I need to see more. Bronx Swag was getting 50 PPG out of the QB position and they’re 1-3. Taking Jackson out of the starting line up means everyone else has to step up. I’m not saying they can’t win, but it’s going to be tough. XXXL has a lot going on Monday night. Based on averages, Bronx Swag will need a 75+ point lead going into the final game of the week. I’m taking XXXL for the win.

Showtime (3-1) Vs 3 All The Way (2-2)

Showtime comes limping into this one. They lost Joe Burrow in week 2. Mike Evans in week  3. Tyreek Hill in week 4 and now their top overall pick Bijan Robinson is on his BYE. I’m looking at Showtime’s starting line up and questioning many things. First and foremost I don’t understand the loyalty/decision making process of sticking with Daniel Jones. What has he done? He’s had back to back 32 point games in the starting line up. Last week playing head up against Jones, Rams QB Matthew Stafford threw for 375 yards and 3 TD’s. The 375 yards was Stafford’s highest output in a Rams uniform, that was until Thursday night when he threw for 389 yards and 3 TD’s. Stafford now has back to back 66+ point games. He’s going to be a top 5 overall QB entering next week. You need a reason to start Matthew Stafford? I’ll give you two words… Puka Nakua. Showtime’s injuries and the BYE have forced a curious cast of characters into Showtime’s starting line up. Zach Charbonnet has scored 2 TD’s and received at least 12 touches in the 3 games he’s played in this season, he has to play i this depleted line up. Emari Demercado is a dart throw but I understand it because both James Conner and Trey Benson are OUT. I don’t want any part of the Cardinals. I thought they looked awful until garbage time last Thursday night, but I get it, you have to do what you have to do. What I don’t understand is Jerry Jeudy/11 PPG. What has this stiff done to earn a start? The Browns are rolling with unproven rookie Dillon Gabriel at QB and this game is being played in London against the Vikings. This could be an ugly, low scoring affair. The Browns/Vikings game has the lowest total (37 points) of the week. If I’m throwing a dart, I’m throwing it at Malik Washington, who has a golden opportunity after Tyreek Hill’s season and possibly career ended last week. Malik Washington has only scored 3.5 PPG less than Jeudy as third WR, now he’s starting and he’s had rush attempts in every game this season. Washington leads all WR’s with 8 rush attempts and 60 rush yards in 2025. Showtime’s MVP is #2 RB James Cook/44.4 PPG. He’s scored a TD in every game and leads the NFL with 5 rushing TD’s. Cook has scored 23 TD’s in his last 19 games. Only Jahmyr Gibbs (24 TD’s) has scored more TD’s over the last 2 seasons. Cook has also rushed for 100+ yards in his last 3 consecutive games, the most by any RB in 2025. Cook has been outstanding and is on the verge of overtaking Jonathan Taylor as the top scoring RB this season. Showtime’s biggest surprise is #2 TE Tyler Warren/26 PPG. Warren leads all TE’s with 263 receiving yards and 3 bonuses. Believe it or not, the only other TE with more than 1 bonus is Jake Ferguson. Showtime’s biggest disappointment is Joe Burrow. Showtime over-drafted Burrow in round 2 and he was gone by week 2, but he looked bad while he was in there.

3 All the Way’s offense has ramped up every week since the season began, from 185, to 199, to 232 to 287 last week. 3ATW doesn’t have any significant BYE’s except at kicker, but they traded back into the week 4 supplemental draft sending Jaxson Dart to Bronx Swag for Bhayshul Tuten and the pick which they selected kicker Will Reichard. They got exactly what they needed (a kicker) and while Tuten hasn’t lit the world on fire, he’s only the second RB to be traded all season. They did lose Trey Benson for the next 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, which will force their biggest disappointment, #40 RB Isiah Pacheco/12.6 PPG back into the starting line up. While Pacheco’s production has gone up slightly, he scored his first TD of the season last week, his usage went down from 11 touches to 9. Kareem Hunt/12.5 PPG who has been equally as inept has out touched Pacheco 41 to 38 and rookie Brashard Smith’s usage has gone up from 0 touches to 1, to 2, to 7 last week. Pacheco has a tough matchup this week in Jacksonville who’ve allowed the 4th least rush yards on the season. 3ATW’s MVP is #1 WR Puka Nakua/50.5 PPG. Nacua played on Thursday night and scored 35.5 points, which was his lowest output of the season. Think about that for a minute. 35.5 points was his worst game of the year. Puka came into week 5 already leading the league in receptions, receiving yards and 100+ yard games, then had another stat filled game on Thursday night and is on pace to break records. Puka has 52 catches for 588 yards with 3 TD’s and 640 all purpose yards. Puka is on pace to shatter Michael Thomas’s single season catch record of 149 games and Calvin Johnson’s receiving yards record of 1964 yards. I don’t see a glaring biggest surprise, maybe it’s #10 TE Dalton Kincaid/17 PPG return as a starting TE. Finally Ashton Jeanty showed what he’s capable of, leading all running backs in week 4 with 138 rush yards and 202 total (rush/receiving) yards. Jeanty was the highest scoring RB in week 4 with 65 points and Puka was the highest scoring WR in week 4 with 75 points. I do not see 3 All The Way continuing their upward trend in scoring for a 5th consecutive week, so we should see some sort of a pull back but I don’t think they’re going to need a high score to win this game. Showtime could get exposed in week 5. They’ve overcome a lot of adversity to start the season 3-1, but you cannot mistakes and continue this improbable but impressive run. I don’t understand why Stafford wasn’t Inserted immediately as Showtime’s starting QB when Burrow went down. Was Stafford not drafted as the back up? We’re talking about a Super Bowl winning, former 5,000 pass yard (a feat only done 15 times by 9 QB’s) future Hall of Fame QB. Stafford entered week 5 as the passing yards leader and extended that lead now with 1503 pass yards and a league leading 11 TD passes. He’s averaging over 300 yards per game. I get it, he’s an old dog, he’s a throwback who doesn’t run at all but he’s still producing mightily with his arm and the Rams might have the best pair of WR’s in the NFL. I’m willing to bet even if Burrow was healthy, Stafford would be outplaying him. Things never end well with Daniel Jones. He’s a stopgap QB at best who is more reliant on his legs than his arm. The fact that he’s about to start his 3rd consecutive game for Showtime who are 3-1 say way more about what teams are doing against Showtime than what they’re doing on offense. 3ATW is the least scored upon team and Showtime is the second least scored upon team in the OSFL thru 4 games. 65 points from Stafford would’ve at least made this game more interesting. That ship has sailed until week 6. I’m taking 3 All The Way to win and leapfrog Showtime in the standings.

The Wolfpack(1-3) vs Two Weeks of Bacon (1-3)

Both of these teams enter this contest desperate to right the ship and yet one will leave 1-4. Both of these teams have suffered devastating, crippling injuries. Last week Two Weeks of Bacon lost their first round pick Malik Nabers for the season. Nabers had one massive game (76 points) and TWB had zero wins in which games where he was a legitimate contributor. Nabors has to be near the top of the biggest disappointments in a roster rife with disappointments. Nabers #10 WR ranking and 26.2 PPG average were heavily skewed by his 76.7 point game. He averaged under 10 PPG in his 3 other games. TWB lost George Kittle after 1 game, but then picked up #10 TE Juwan Johnson/20.3 PPG with a compensation pick. Johnson played admirably over the last 3 games, but TWB is switching to Darren Waller who returned to the NFL after a 2 year absence and scored more TD’s (2) in one game than he had with the Giants in all of 2023. TreVeyon Henderson’s usage has been erratic, going from 11 touches, to 5, to 14, to 9 touches. It’s an average of less than 10 touches per game. Henderson did score his first touchdown of the season last week. Another candidate for biggest disappointment has to be 6th round pick rookie RB Kaleb Johnson who has yet to enter the starting line up. In the 6th round your drafting starters. Johnson has been a 0.0 bust thus far. He’s been useless. Luckily for TWB they got a massive game out of Kenny Gainwell last week, scoring 49 points. Gainwell/Johnson are on BYE’s in week 5. The MVP of TWB is #5 QB Drake Maye/45.7 PPG. Maye has yet to score below 41 points in any game this season and has 9 combined TD’s (7 passing and 2 rushing). Biggest surprise is rookie #24 RB Cam Skattebo/23 PPG. Skattebo has usurped Tyrone Tracy Jr as the Giants starting RB. Skayyebo’s usage has exploded from 4 touches, to 13 touches, to 16 touches to an astronomical 27 touches in week 4.

Compared to TWB’s roster, The Wolfpack’s roster is a triage unit. CeeDee Lamb is set to miss his second game, as is Terry McLaurin. Aaron Jones is missing his 3rd game. Jaylen Warren missed last week and is on his BYE. As if that wasn’t enough The Wolfpack’s biggest disappointment is 2nd round pick #49 WR Ladd McConkey/12.4 PPG, who’s production and usage has fallen off a cliff. Over the first month: 6 touches/19.4 points, 5 touches/14.8 points, 4 touches/12 points to last weeks disappearing act 1 touch/3 points. I want to make sure I’m clear on this, it’s still very early in the season. All of these disappointments can do a 180 and finish with great seasons and it could start this week.  The Wolfpack MVP has been #3 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba/30.5 PPG. JSN along with Baker Mayfield have been the few consistent bright spots on The Wolfpack’s roster. #19 WR - 33 year old Keenan Allen/23 PPG in his 13 season has been the biggest pleasant surprise. The Wolfpack hasn’t had much stability at TE thru the first 4 games. Cade Otten hasn’t done much this year but he’s facing Seattle this week who allow the 4th most points to the TE position in 2025. Might be time to fire up the Baker to Otten hook up. Last week I pointed out that Woody Marks’s usage had been increasing and it need to be monitored. Last week it exploded from 7 touches to 21 which included 2 TD’s. The Wolfpack’s is so thin at RB that they’re forced to start both Marks and Nick Chubb. Luckily they have a phenomenal match up against the Ravens. What happens next week when both are on a BYE. If Jaylen Warren doesn’t return from his injury, the only healthy RB who isn’t on a BYE in week 6 is Ollie Gordon. Something to think about. The one good thing about two battered rosters facing one another is that it should be a fair fight. This is a toss up and really anyones game. The Wolfpack has had back to back scores in the 160’s. I expect a bounce up, maybe not a huge bounce but a move closer to 200. TWB has scored 209+ in 3 consecutive games but they’ve had these fluky gigantic games the last 2 weeks including 64 from David Montgomery and 49 from Gainwell last week. My question is where is that game coming from in week 5? I don’t know. I think TWB’s score is headed downward in week 5. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, I don’t have a crystal ball, but even the winner of this game is putting lipstick on a pig when they face the upper echelon teams. Both teams have soul rattling issues that they’re going to have to deal with all year long. The hope of draft day is rapidly evaporating through the hourglass for many teams. It has become a survival of the fittest. The bright side of this mess is that Dynamic Duo has yet to win a game and they could be dead. I wouldn’t count on that but right now Duo is buried in the Southern Comfort cellar and if they stay there then at least one of these teams is going to make it, making this game all the more important. This could be a turning point for the winner. Either team has paths to victory but I’m giving a slight edge to The Wolfpack.

Phriends of the Devil (2-2) Vs Allbrite Picks (2-2)

This game pits two of the better teams in the OSFL against one another in a highly contested divisional matchup. I say it all the time, there are no easy games in the OSFL. These teams just got done waging wars against the two best teams in the Southern Comfort division. Phriends of the Devil lost to G-Force and Allbrite lost to the Cowboys in what turned out to be the highest scoring game of the year. A yard here or there and both of these teams could have won last week. Phriends of the Devil are dealing with the sudden loss of #5 RB Bucky Irving/36.4 PPG. I wasn’t a fan of Bucky because this is what I was afraid of. He’s a small guy getting 20+ touches per game (29 touches in week 3). However, his production was undeniable. Irving was averaging 3.4 more PPG than Jahmyr Gibbs. Bucky has been the MVP, he was the highest scoring non-QB on the roster. Luckily they have Rachaad White which shows that they prepared. They knew this was a possibility. In week 4, newly acquired Josh Allen scored 50 points for POTD and the highest scoring player in that game was Bucky Irving/56 points. It’s going to take more than 50 PPG from Allen who is already the #1 overall player and/or the rest of the team has to step up. We found that out the hard way. Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL and he’s 0-4 in the OSFL. It’s mind boggling. POTD’s top WR and biggest surprise Is #4 WR Rome Odunze/29.4 PPG who is on his BYE in week 5. POTD’s biggest disappointment is WR #42 DeVonta Smith/14.2 PPG. Smith has yet to break 60 yards in a game and only has 1 TD thru 4 games.

Allbrite Picks have avoided major injury. They did lose Jayden Daniels for 2 games and one could make the argument if Daniels plays last week, Allbrite could’ve beaten The Cowboys and walked away with the high score. That didn’t happen but Daniels will return for this game. Allbrite have been prime beneficiaries of other players injuries. #8 WR George Pickens/27.7 PPG numbers are thru the roof since CeeDee lamb has gone down. In week 4, Pickens tied a career high 8 catches, hauled in his second (134) highest yardage total and scored 2 TD’s in a game for the second time in his career. The biggest surprise and the MVP are split between Pickens and #7 WR Emeka Egbuka/27.8 PPG. Egbuka has been the beneficiary of the loss of Mike Evans and leads all rookies with 4 TD’s. Jordan Mason/23.5 PPG is the beneficiary of the loss of Aaron Jones. That’s what you call good drafting. Allbrite Picks did great work and it’s paying off now. After one week I was ready to say Derrick Henry was one of the best picks of the 2025 draft, but at the end of that first game and subsequent games I’m really questioning what the hell is going on with Derrick Henry. He fumbled in each of his first 3 games, directly affecting the outcome of two of those games. As much as we want to pin it all on specific moments within a game, games are rarely won or lost on a single play, but Henry was part of the reason they lost 2 of those games and his usage has evaporated because of it. I don’t care who you are, when you fumble 3 games in a row it affects the player and the play caller. Your number is just not going to get called as much. Henry’s week one rushing total of 169 yards is a season high by any player in 2025. He’s rushed for 115 total combined yards in his last 3 games. RB #14 Derrick Henry/28.6 PPG is among the highest scoring players on my most disappointing player list, but that first week made up for a lot of the last 3 misfires. No one knows how the loss of Lamar Jackson is going to affect the big fella. Do they lean on him more or do defenses key on him and he loses the advantage of playing in a system tailor made for his style. Allbrite Picks is losing Drake London who has also underperformed for the most part and #3 TE Tucker Kraft/23.6 PPG. Clearly neither of these teams enters this contest at 100%. This is another even match up as far as talent on paper, but POTD have the matchup advantages. I still think Allbrite gets more out of QB than they’ve gotten the last 2 games and we don’t know what to expect from Henry. Josh Allen hasn’t had a 300 yard game against the patriots since 2021 and he’s never had a 300 yard pass game against the Patriots in Buffalo. I would expect the Lions to smash Cincinnati so Gibbs better do his damage early because I expect to see a lot of David Montgomery late in this game. I picked POTD last week and they disappointed me. I’m taking Allbrite Picks to win a close game.

Dynamic Duo (0-3) Vs. G’ss Mafia (2-2)

I find myself listening to a lot of Coldplay these days. Primarily Viva La Vida and The Scientist. “I used to rule the world, seas would rise when I gave the word, now in the morning, I sleep alone, sweep the streets I used to own ” and “Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be this hard, take me back to the start.” For at least a decade I’ve had a reoccurring nightmare, not a go to sleep and have a nightmare type of nightmare. For at least a decade before the draft I’ve thought, what if I draft a team and everyone gets hurt and we just don’t win. It’s happening. We’ve had one major injury, losing James Conner for the season in week 3 and Ja’Marr Chase’s production has been capped in the 2 games since Joe Burrow missed due to injury and he’s not returning any time soon. Compared to some teams in the OSFL, our injury situation is minor, out players have simply underperformed. WR #41 AJ Brown/15 PPG is killing us. He is far and away the biggest disappointment for Dynamic Duo to this point. Biggest surprise is probably #22 WR Michael Pittman Jr/21.8 PPG. We don’t have an MVP. Maybe it was #1 QB Josh Allen/51.3 PPG who we traded away, but ponder this for a moment. Allen is the #1 overall player thru 4 weeks and his record as a starting QB for 2 different teams is 0-4. Caleb Williams and D’Andre Swift are on their BYE. A week after getting obliterated by the Patriots, Bryce Young is at home against the 4th worst defense against QB’s Miami Dolphins. Jacory Kroskey-Merritt will start for Dynamic Duo at RB. I have no clue what Washington is doing at RB, but JCM leads the Redskins with (32) touches, (29) carries, (172) rush yards and (2) rushing TD’s, while rushing for an impressive 5.9 yard per carry.

G’ss Mafia’s offense has underwhelmed for the most part. They currently rank 11th in total points, but have logged 2 big wins against Bronx Swag and The Wolfpack. Last week G’ss Mafia scored their highest score of the season (240 points). Jay and company have two  BYE’s in week 5, Kyle Pitts and the Green Bay Packers defense. On Wednesday night they selected the Colts defense who face the Las Vegas Raiders. Sam LaPorta steps in at TE, as G’ss Mafia’s loads up on Lions (Jared Goff, Jameson Williams and LaPorta) in a great match up against the Bungles. G’ss Mafia’s MVP has been #16 RB JK Dobbins/25.9 PPG  who has solidified this offenses rush attack. The entire WR group had underwhelmed until Justin Jefferson’s breakout game in week 4, but #48 WR  Brian Thomas Jr/12.5 PPG has been dreadful all season. The biggest surprise has to be #8 TE Kyle Pitts/19.4 PPG. In week 4, for only the 5th time in his career, Pitts hit a bonus and scored a TD in the same game. G’ss also has Breece Hall in a very good match up against The Cowboys. Another thing Don Guenette and I talked about after golf last week as I was describing how dumbfounded by this start was his take on that. He told me that because I write about 11 other teams that of course they’re all going to want to come and beat Dynamic Duo. I understand how some may take what I write the wrong way, but I’m not directly dogging anyone, at least not consistently unless you have it coming. For the most part, I’m spitting statistical data. I’m looking at numbers and situations. There is nothing ever personal written in the Gazette. Don’s point dumbfounded me even more. Yes people want to come and beat me, but the NFL players don’t know me. I just didn’t think he stuck the landing on his point. Believe me I get it, I say whatever the fuck I want here, but I’ve earned that. If I’ve rubbed anyone the wrong way it’s unintentional. I’m trying to give a strong point of view without offending anyone and I know I’ve gone too far on occasion. I respect Don’s point of view, though I don’t fully understand it. These are dark days, Dynamic Duo’s back is against the wall, we cannot afford another loss. I’m tired of sweeping the streets I used to own, but make no mistake, Dynamic Duo enters this contest as the underdog. G’ss Mafia has a good team. We need our best game in week 5. This turn around must start now. Dynamic Duo’s will finally get out of their own way and win their first game of the season.
