7. Allbrite Picks (John “The Fish” Ladish/15th season and “Angry” Steve Disumma/20th season
We welcomed back the Fish, after a 2024 season that saw him miss the draft and post season party. It just wasn’t the same. We welcome you back with opened arms. Steve Disumma was angry, lashing out at everyone in his sphere. Allbrite Picks had their table so far up The Wolfpacks ass that Paul O’Leary passed out, head on his list. Hmmm or was it something else? Hmmm. Disumma was fighting with Draft Board coordinator Fred Pilk, Draft caller Stephen Manfredo, he was even barking at his partner the Fish. Lets see if all that anger equaled draft day gold. I love the Derrick Henry pick in the first round at #7 overall. Yeah he’s old but he’s he’s in a phenomenal spot in Baltimore. Henry is a first ballot hall of famer. Drake London in round 2 was another great pick. I’m not worried about Michael Penix Jr, he threw to London a lot when he got into the starting line up late in the season. In round 3 they selected Jayden Daniels as their QB. I don’t know if I take Daniels over Jalen Hurts, who was still on the board. I’m not saying Daniels is a bad pick, I just think I would have taken the Super Bowl champion QB over a QB who caught every break in the world as a rookie heading into his sophomore season. They added Broncos rookie RB RJ Harvey to pair with Henry in round 4. Harvey could start from jump street. George Pickens went from being a WR1 in Pittsburgh to a WR2 in Dallas and that’s supposed to unleash his production? I’ve seen too much of Pickens to think he can be a WR2. No way. He’ll have some BIG games and then disappear for stretches. 6th round pick Emeka Egbuka could get some serious run due to the injuries of Buccaneers WR’s Jalen McMillan and Chris Godwin. Chris Olave fell to round 8, due to a horrible history of concussions and the Saints instability at QB. 14th round pick Isaac Teslaa is a complete unknown. Van Jefferson and Jalen Coker (who was placed on IR) are roster fodder. They really shored up RB with some fantastic late RB picks, starting with Jordan Mason in round 7. I think Mason could see extended time as the Vikings starting RB. There are a lot of Jaguars RB’s all of a sudden, but Tank Bigsby was the best Jaguar RB from a year ago. It remains to be seen who emerges as the Jags go to RB, but It’s hard to imagine Bigsby not having a role. Justice Hill was a must have Derrick Henry insurance policy. 15th round pick Dameon Pierce could emerge as the Texans staring RB. Emanuel Wilson was a must have handcuffed for any Josh Jacobs owner. Wilson is trade bait to The Cowboys because they have to have him. Wilson rushed for 500 yards on 103 carries and he scored 5 TD’s. Allbrite Picks waited a bit on TE, but still grabbed Tucker Kraft in round 9 and Brenton Strange in round 12. I don’t know what Allbrite Picks saw, but they took 3 Jaguars in a row from rounds 10 thru 12, including their back up Trevor Lawrence. Over is first 4 seasons, Lawrence has been a mega disappointment, compiling a 22-38 career record. He has never thrown more than 25 TD’s in any season. He turns 26 in October. There are no more excuses, Lawrence has been a bust to this point. There’s a lot of potential here at RB. After Drake, I think WR could become a problem. TE should be OK, maybe. Jayden Daniels looked like a young Lamar Jackson as a rookie. They need him to continue to grow. The good news for Angry Allbrite is that they have built in trade partners in The Cowboys who need Wilson and The Wolfpack who desperately needs RB’s and have WR’s to burn. Allbrite Picks could fix what ails them with a couple quick trades. I think there’s a lot of potential and room to move at Camp Allbrite heading into 2025….. B
8. G’ss Mafia (Jay Greenless/13th season, Nick & Braylon/rookies)
The Hammer is gone, Jay Greenless assumes control of the newly minted G’ss Mafia, with his new partners, the father and son duo of Nick & Braylon. Justin Jefferson fell all the way to them at 7. Jefferson logged his 4th 1400+ yards season and 3rd 100+ catch season in 2024. They stole him. 4 of G’ss first 5 picks were WR, as they added Brian Thomas Jr who had a massive rookie season in the 2nd, Marvin Harrison Jr. who is looking for a breakout second season in the 4th and the explosive Jameson Williams. It’s a formidable group with explosive potential. When you hit WR that hard, that early, RB is going to be a blast zone. G’ss Mafia has one starter in Breece Hall, who has underwhelmed and wasn’t drafted by the current regime. I think there’s entire Jets offense floundered under the unbearable weight of egomaniac Aaron Rodgers. I never liked Breece Hall the first round pick, but Breece Hall the 3rd round pick has room to outperform expectations. After Hall is where the problems begin. JK Dobbins is always an injury waiting to happen. Last year was the first time he played more than 8 games in a season since 2020. 12th round pick Rico Dowdle’s role on Carolina is not clear yet. Kendre Miller has done nothing in his first 2 years. Chris Rodriguez is another player whose role is unconfirmed. Joe Mixon might be cooked. This is by far the worst group of RB’s in the OSFL in 2025. In the 6th, G’ss added Sam Laporta as their TE1. Laporta is a solid TE. So much was expected of him last season that he was viewed as a disappointment but back to back 700+ yard/7+ TD season is solid. In the 11th, they added Kyle Pitts who never lived up to the hype after a 1000 yard rookie season. 18th round pick Isaiah Likely came into the season banged up. In rounds 8 and 9 they went back to back QB with Jared Goff and Bo Nix. Goff was sensational last season but Ben Johnson is gone. I generally don’t like drafting QB’s who exceeded expectations in their rookie season like Nix did (4200 total yards and 33 total TD’s). They’re comparable, either one could lead this offense, but I don’t like taking QB’s who are this close in expected production. When you have 2 QB’s who are worthy of starting, you have no QB. You’re going to make a mistake. Greenless and his partners added Keon Coleman, Christian Kirk and Romeo Doubs to their WR group. Coleman will look to rebound from a weak rookie season. Kirk has already been ruled out in week 1. Doubs is in a crowded group in Green Bay. There’s a great foursome of WR’s, among them best in the OSFL. Breece Hall should be fine but they may play musical chairs at RB2 without many options. Laporta is solid at TE. Their QB’s should be capable. Their issues are going to start once the BYE weeks roll around, forget it if they suffer injuries to integral members of this offense. There are going to be holes in this offense. I don’t like relying on guys like JK Dobbins to be every week performers. It’s scary and leads to sleepless nights. The WR’s are going to have to carry this offense and while it’s possible because they’re that good, I just don’t like a lot of other things they did, but you never know…… D
9. 3 All The Way (Diamond David Pilkington/27th season, Dennis “DJ” Simbron/7th season and Greg Cambio/5th season)
This was not a bad draft, but these guys love to put themselves out there in the first round with unproven RB’s. Last year they used the #2 overall pick on Breece Hall. This year they selected Raiders rookie RB Ashton Jeanty from Boise State, home of the Smurf Turf. Oh boy. The experts say Jeanty is a can’t miss prospect. There’s no such thing. Especially coming from Boise State and going to the Raiders. He’ll probably be fine, but the only great defense he ever faced was in last years Fiesta Bowl against Penn State, where Boise State got smoked 31-14 and Jeanty rushed 30-100 with no TDs. I guess if you take shot after shot with wild 1st round picks, one will eventually hit. I love Puka Nacua. No WR has more touches per game (8.2) than Puka in 2024 and Ja’Marr Chase (102) was the only WR who average more yard per game (94). They were both tied for most 100 yard games with 5. The only question I have about Puka is, can Matthew Stafford stay on the field. In the 3rd they selected Trey McBride who is 1B to Brock Bowers as the best TE’s in the NFL. Bowers led all TE’s with 7 touches per game, 72 yards per game and was tied with Bowers for 8 bonuses (70+ yards). In the 4th they drafted Jalen Hurts, last stud QB left on the board. After Hurts was selected, another QB wasn’t selected until almost 4 full rounds later. Hurts has rushed for at least 10+ TD’s in 4 consecutive seasons. In the 5th round they added Isiah Pacheco who is attempting to return after breaking his leg early in the season. Pacheco cant be any worse than he was in 2024. They handcuffed Pacheco with Kareem Hunt in round 13. The only other potential starting RB they selected was Jerome Ford in round 8. Ford is a vanilla back who will have to fend off rookie Dylan Sampson and Quinshon Judkins if he ever signs. Trey Benson could get some run in Arizona. The only other RB they selected was Raheem Mostert in round 17 to handcuff Jeanty. I think they stole Courtland Sutton in round 6. Sutton probably won’t be back in Denver next season and is playing for what will most likely be his final pay day. I don’t hate taking a shot on Cooper Kupp in round 7. I would put Kupp’s cooked % at 50/50, but if he’s not cooked, even 75% of what Cooper Kupp used to be is a steal in round 7. They finished out WR by selecting Texans rookie Jayden Higgins, who became the first 2nd round pick to ever get a fully guaranteed contract. He’s 6’4 with adequate speed at 4.47 and a 39” vertical leap. I liked Higgins and his Iowa State team mate who was also drafted by Houston Jaylin Noel (5’10 with 41” vertical leap). Nobody drafted Noel. I did not like their final 3 WR picks. Brandon Aiyuk could miss most of the first half of the season. Amari Cooper retired and DeAndre Hopkins isn’t far behind. In round 10 they selected Dalton Kincaid who burst onto the scene as a rookie but disappeared from the game plan last season. In rounds 11 and 20 they took CJ Stroud and Jaxson Dart. This group usually smashes the QB position. I think Stroud has a major bounce back year. You can’t run the ball if you don’t have any RB’s. We’ll have to check back on Dart later in the season. Naming your team after weenies opens you up to a lot of scrutiny. I don’t want to but I’m ready willing and able to unleash a plethora of weenie and dick jokes. A lot is going to depend on whether or not first round pick Ashton Jeanty develops into a true RB1. After Jeanty and the overall uncertainty at the RB position there’s a lot to like about this team. If Jeanty hits this is a B, if He doesn’t they’re a D. I’m going to compromise and give them a…. C
10. The Cowboys (Ron “Kingmaker” Zednik/30th season & “Dirty” Dino Lancia/29th season)
You can say whatever you want about The Cowboys methods, they find ways to win. In 2024 Ron, Dino and Kon joined forces to win The Cowboys franchise 4th OSFL championship. It was their second title win over the last 6 years. A Lancia has now won 4 of the last 6 OSFL titles. Championships in the OSFL are extremely cyclical. The last time an OSFL champion didn’t win a 2nd title was in 2008 when Showtime went 15-2 and had the greatest single season in OSFL history. Since then, every champion has won at least their 2nd title. Ron Zednik is the kingmaker. From Daryl Hawkins in 2001, to Don Guenette in 2012 to Kon in 2024. They can all trace a championship run back to The Cowboys and in Hawkins and Guenette’s case, they both went on to win at least another title. Last year the Cowboys set an OSFL record winning $6800. Can they do it again. This year they add new partner and a familiar face, Vin Roc who sold his franchise to Kon. The Roc owns 11.4% of The Cowboys. Dino owns 50% and Ron owns 38.6% unless he’s cut secret side deals which is entirely possible. The Cowboys followed former partner Kon’s lead, as the only other team to use their first 4 picks on RB. They selected Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Taylor, Kenneth Walker and Chuba Hubbard, the best RB group in the OSFL. There are potentially 4 RB1’s in this group. They should’ve at least handcuffed Emmanuel Wilson to Jacobs. Taylor has missed 10 games over the last 2 seasons. Walker has missed 9 games over the last 2 years. The Cowboys didn’t handcuff anyone. In fact, after the first 4 picks, they never went went back to the RB position. No team in the history of the OSFL has stopped selecting RB’s after round 4. It is unheard of. With their next 3 picks The Cowboys locked up WR, selecting DK Metcalf, Zay Flowers and Stefon Diggs. None of these guys are catching 100 passes at this stage of their career, but each can contribute something. Metcalf has never lived up to physicalities or potential, maybe the move to Pittsburgh unlocks the beast he should’ve been for most of his career. Flowers is in the prime of his youth and capable of big games but also tends to disappear. Diggs will be 32 in November and is coming off an ACL tear. This is his 3rd team in 3 years. Diggs could have some juice left in the tank, we just don’t know how much. They added Jordan Addison in round 9. Addison will serve a 3 game suspension to start the season. Addison is a TD machine scoring 10 TD’s in each of his first two seasons. Rasheed Shaheed has shown flashes of explosiveness during his short career, but he doesn’t touch the ball enough and the Saints QB situation is so unsettled that it relegated all Saints receivers as low or no interest to me. Adam Thielen makes sense in the short term as he returns to the Vikings as a senior citizen and could see increased time with Addison suspended. At 35, Thielen is the oldest active WR in the NFL in 2025. In the 8th round, The Cowboys led with their hearts, drafting 32 year old Dak Prescott. How much does Dak have left in the tank? He’s missed 9 games due to injury in 2024. This could be Dak’s last hurrah. They added Jordan Love in the 12th and Michael Penis in round 16. The Cowboys have always love to have a stable of QB’s. Love was injured early in the season and was probably never fully healthy in 2024. Penix has only started 3 NFL games in his career. There is starter potential for the Cowboys from both Love and Penix. The Cowboys did not prioritize TE. They were the second to the last team to draft their first TE when they selected Jake Ferguson. They added Dallas Goedert one round later in the 11th and Mike Gesicki in the 15th. Ferguson had a horrible season in 2024, catching 59-494 with zero TD’s. Goedert hasn’t been starter relevant since 2022. He missed 7 games last season and hasn’t played a full season since his rookie year in 2018. Both Ferguson and Goedert have disappointed recently so we’ll have to see what they bring to the table in 2025. Mike Gesicki had a bounce back season in 2024, but can he continue at 30 years old. The Cowboys were the only team to draft 2 kickers and 2 defenses. The foundation of The Cowboys offense is RB. It’s the best group in the OSFL coming out of the draft. WR is capable but unspectacular. TE’s will need to step up and QB could be a revolving door until one steps their as well. This wasn’t a bad draft but it was far from perfect. They should’ve handcuffed some of these injury prone backs. Can the Cowboys defend the title they won in 2024. I will say this. Historically the Cowboys come in fat the season after winning the OSFL title. Won in 2001, in 2002, 5-9/missed the playoffs. Won in 2012, in 2013, 5-9/missed the playoffs. Won in 2019, in 2020, 3-11/missed the playoffs. I don’t see that type of drop off for The Cowboys in 2025 and I think it’s because Kon motivated them because he attempted to claim too much credit for last years title run. It was a team effort. you can say whatever you want about Ron & Dino, and we give them a lot of flack because there’s usually a cloud of smoke above their draft table, but they’re one of the most successful tag teams in the history of the OSFL and Ron Zednik is the king maker. He’s brought more people OSFL championships than anyone in the history of this league. This is much better work than we are accustomed to from The Cowboys the year after a title run. They need to tweak some things but they’re we should be contenders once again in 2025…. B
11. The XXXL 69ers (Ron DeFusco/11th season and Ralph Campano/7th season)
From 2017 thru 2020, The XXXL 69ers were tomato cans, compiling a 19-39 record. This franchise turned a corner in 2021. Things started to jell in Ralph Campano’s third season. They haven’t had a losing or missed the playoffs since, compiling a 34-23 regular season record and last year they registered their first playoff victory since 2017. Do XXXL continue their march toward a title or do they take their first step backwards in a long time. Let’s get into it. With their first at 11 overall they started their draft with the ultra consistent Amon-Ra St. Brown. Over his last 2 seasons, St. Brown has logged at least 115 receptions/1263 yards and 10 TD’s. In 2024, St. Brown caught a TD in 8 consecutive games. You cannot ask for more out of your WR1. He’s been an All-Pro the last two season. St. Brown is a stud WR1. 2nd round pick De’Von Achane is an explosive play maker. In 28 career games, Achane has scored 23 TD’s. Last season he led all RB’s with 78 receptions and 592 receiving yards. Achane might not come across as an RB1, but he plays like one. I thought XXXL made 2 great picks, but then they got a little wild. XXXL took Tee Higgins in round 3. He put up respectable numbers averaging 6 touches and 76 yards per game to go along with a career high 10 TD’s but he missed 4 games for the second consecutive season. Higgins has never caught more than 74 passes in any season over his 5 year career. Higgins isn’t a bad pick or a bad player, I just think he’s a bit overrated and I thought there were better options available to them in that spot. I will never say Patrick Mahomes is a bad pick and I’ll actually go a step further. Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen may have won the last 2 MVP awards, but statistics aside the real MVP of the NFL the last 3 seasons is Patrick Mahomes. Over the last 3 years, Mahomes has compiled a 39-10 regular season record and a 9-1 playoff record, reaching the Super Bowl all 3 years and winning 2 in a row (2022 - 2023). he’s really been the MVP since his 2nd season in 2018. From 2018 thru 2024, Mahomes lost just 24 regular season games. Now that doesn’t make him a great fantasy QB, like he used to be. Mahomes posted career lows with 3928 pass yards and tied a career low 26 TD’s passes in 2024 and he still finished 15-1. Mahomes ran a lot in week 1. If he runs like this all season, one of two things will happen. He’ll be the fantasy football MVP or he wont last the season. When XXXL drafted Mahomes, Jalen Hurts was still on the board. No way, I’m not pulling that trigger. That’s a bridge too far for me. Declining stats, the Chiefs stars like Travis Kelce are starting to age-out. Hurts is 27, just won the Super Bowl and is a top 5 QB dual threat. Speaking of Kelce they added him in round 6 to complete the hook up. I want to give Kelce his flowers too. He’s a first ballot hall of famer and one of the greatest offensive TE to ever play the game. He’s done things no one has ever done. 7 consecutive 1000 yard seasons. 9 consecutive seasons with 85+ receptions and 7 consecutive seasons with 92+ receptions which are both active streaks. He was the #1 TE from 2016 thru 2023. It’s over. He’s going to be 36 next month. He’s never going to be the #1 TE again, but he was top 5 last year. Kelce is still a starting TE and they got him in round 6. A year ago Kelce was the 2nd TE drafted in round 3. Two years ago he was a 1st round pick. In between Mahomes and Kelce, XXXL added another thirty something player in WR Davante Adams. We can all see the common theme here. XXXL collected players with one foot out of the NFL. They’ve done this before and had success. Adams has an active 5 consecutive season 1000+ yard streak, but he’s going to be 33 in December. Adams is on his third team in less than 12 months. Puka is the top dog in LA, Stafford is barely hanging on with a bad back and if he can’t go, the Rams back up is Jimmy Garappolo. Adams and Garappolo hate each other. When they both played for the Raiders, Adams openly criticized Jimmy G and was one of the reasons he got benched in 2023. If Stafford goes down, I do not see things ending well for Adams or the Rams. In the 7th they took RB Travis Etienne whose 2024 season imploded on itself after back to back 1400+ total yard seasons in 2022 & 2023. Etienne must contend with Tank Bigsby who outproduced him last season and the Jaguars added rookies Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen Jr. in this years draft. Etienne Will most likely be given one more chance to be the lead back but if he fails to seize the role, the jaguars RB situation could devolve into a mess. Tyrone Tracy had a solid rookie season and should remain the Giants primary ball carrier, even with the arrival of rookie Cam Skattebo. XXXL drafted Najee Harris in round 11. Harris signed a one year deal with the Chargers after 4 seasons with the Steelers. After being signed, the Chargers drafted Omarion Hampton in the 1st round. In week 1, Hampton out-touched Harris 17 to 2. Harris did come into the season having suffered a 4th of July fireworks injury to his eye. It might take some time for Harris to ramp up to speed, but the Chargers paid him a lot of money, he’s going to get touches. Tyjae Spears was added in the 13th round. Spears entered the season on IR with an ankle sprain. The final RB they added was Roschon Johnson Whose usage dwindled from 115 touches to 71 in 2024 despite scoring 6 TD’s. It was a curious mix of players added to their WR group. Chris Godwin was the top WR in the OSFL when he went down for the season in week 7. Godwin is expected to miss at least the first month of the season with estimates as high as 6 games. In round 10, Ron DeFusco made one of the strangest picks in the history of the league. He stumped me when he said the players name. I had never heard of Efton Chism/WR before Ron said his name. Deep dive on Efton Chism. He went undrafted out of Eastern Washington. He’s 5’10/198. He’s slow (4.71 40 yard dash), his vertical jump is nothing special (34.5”). He did catch 120 passes as a 5th year senior and Patriots fans hope he’s the next Julian Edelman. To steal a line from Don Guenette, they could have had him with their first supplemental draft pick. 10th round on Efton Chism is a blown pick. Rashod Bateman had a career year in 2024 but still caught just 45 balls. In round 17 they threw a dart at Bears rookie Luther Burden. In the 20th they wrapped up their draft with Chargers red zone favorite Quentin Johnston. Between Bateman and Johnston, they combined for 17 TD’s. Both are heavily reliant on scoring TD’s to be fantasy relevant. In the 12th round they selected XXXL favorite Hunter Henry to back up Kelce. Henry is a solid back up, setting career highs with 66 catches for 674 yards in 2024. The backed up Mahomes with the 14th round selection of Justin Fields. I didn’t think Fields was given a fair shot as the Steelers starting QB in 2024. Fields could turn out to be a steal. XXXL’s only kicker Tyler Bass was placed on IR before week 1, forcing Ralph and Ron to swing a trade with Dynamic Duo who took their first supplemental draft pick for Chris Boswell. Like several other teams, that 2nd RB spot is going to be key over the long hall. They hinged a lot on Travis Etienne. As long as the veterans rise to the occasion one more time, XXXL should hang with most opponents. I don’t think any of older players are cooked yet, but they are slipping. There are worst things they could’ve done than pin their hopes to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Davante Adams. It’s not what I would’ve done but to each is own. It’s not the worst or best team in the OSFL but sometimes those are the most dangerous teams once the playoffs roll around. Stay tuned…. C
12. Two Weeks of Bacon (Joe “Pudgie” L’Europa/22nd season & John Hagan/17th season)
In this space last year, I gave TWB the highest grade possible, an A+. TWB proceeded to the championship game losing a tight battle (271-250) against The Cowboys. This is a solid draft, it’s not as good as last years, but it’s still good work. TWB started their draft with back to back WR’s Malik Nabers and Nico Collins. Both are WR1 level pass catchers. Malik Nabers broke Puka Nacua’s (105 catches) single season rookie reception record with 109 grabs (but Brock Bowers set the new record with 112 catches). Puka and Bowers set their records with 17 games. Nabers caught 109 receptions in 15 games. Nabers is dealing with a toe issue, but besides that his situation improved greatly. The Giants improved the QB position dumping Daniel Jones in favor of Russell Wilson and Jaxon Dart. Collins has posted back to back 1000 yard seasons and with Joe Mixon out of action, Collins is clearly the Texans best offensive weapon. I expect Houston to throw more in 2025. In the 3rd round Pudgie drafted George Kittle who posted his 4th 1000 yard season ad caught his most receptions (78) since 2019. Kittle was the third best TE in most rankings after Bowers and Trey McBride and the third TE off the board. This was somewhat of a surprise based on TWB’s draft history. Pudgie and John usually punt TE, taking the best of what’s left. Kittle is the best TE they may have ever had. In round 4 thru 7, TWB pounded RB, selecting Rookie Treyveon Henderson, productive veteran David Montgomery, Rookie Kaleb Johnson and Rhamandre Stevenson. They locked up the Patriots RB situation. Henderson was no bargain in the 4th round, TWB paid full price. The world thinks Montgomery is going to lose touches to Jahmyr Gibbs, how many touches remains to be seen. I fully expect for Montgomery to have a similar yet slightly diminished role that he’s had the last 2 years. I loved the Kaleb Johnson pick in round 6. I believe that Johnson will eventually take the Steelers starting RB role and provide similar production to what Najee Harris was delivering over the previous 4 seasons. As long as Rhamondre holds onto the ball, the Patriots paid him a lot of money to have a significant role in their offense. TWB added rookies Cam Skattebo in round 10 and Kyle Monangai in the 14th. They also added Steelers new RB Kenny Gainwell. In the 8th round, TWB added another one of their 5 rookies, taking Travis Hunter. It remains to be seen how the Jaguars use Hunter. Josh Downs improved in year 2, despite playing in 3 less games. Downs could evolve into an every week starter and be one of the steals of the 2025 draft. They added Darnell Mooney who enters the season banged up. Mooney missed almost all of preseason after having a solid first season in Atlanta. Demario Douglas was one of 4 patriots players drafted by TWB. Can you say homer. TWB was the second to last team to draft a QB, taking Brock Purdy and then following immediately up with Drake Maye in rounds 11 and 12. They also added Tua Tagovailoa in the 15th round. I think the days of waiting until the second half of the draft to take a QB are becoming passé. The top QB’s are the highest scoring players in the league. Having said that, ending up with Purdy, Maye and Tua isn’t bad. The problem lies in that they’re all going to produce making the decision of who to start from week to week difficult. You generally go not want your top QB to have a comparable back up. the fewer decisions you have to make, the easier it is to set a starting line up. TWB finished their draft by selecting the returning TE Darren Waller. What could you possibly expect from a 33 year old TE returning after sitting out the 2024 season for mental heath issues. This was an atypical draft from TWB. They usually go RB heavy and punt TE. This offense is built upon blue chip WR’s and a stud TE. RB might be the most fluid position on the roster. This is about as far away of a build from last years draft as TWB could get, but it’s still a formidable team. Same cake, different ingredients. More good work from one of the most consistent drafters over the last decade…. B
Good luck to all teams.
