Young Guns                                                     Issue #520

Three of the four teams that brought young owners into the fold won in week 1.

Before we get into how week one played out, I owe one team an apology because I gave them a bad grade and they didn’t deserve it. I realized it as soon as I looked at their starting roster on the website, something I did not do this year. I worked exclusively off the draft board and draft sheets. My decision has nothing to do with the fact that they won. I gave G’ss Mafia a D and I apologize for that. They’re thin at RB and I don’t love drafting two similarly productive QB’s because it breeds indecision but besides that, this team is pretty stacked. G’ss Mafia deserves a B. This is not the first time I’ve changed grades, but when I’m wrong, I’m wrong and I was wrong on this one. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

G-Force came storming out of the gates, led by a surprisingly heavy passing attack from the Chargers, Justin Herbert’s 66 point performance (318/3 TD’s) led the Guenette’s to victory over a tough Dynamic Duo squad, 255-212, with the first weekly high score of the season. G-Force had 5 different players score 25+ points, while Dynamic Duo’s top 2 picks Ja’Marr Chase/6.6 points and AJ Brown/2.8 points combined for 9.5 points. Allbrite Picks, led by Derrick Henry/71 points who led all running backs with 169 rush yards and 2 TD’s, pulled away from Bronx Swag, 243-217, for the impressive victory. Allbrite Picks didn’t win their first game in 2024 until week 4 and only won 3 games all year. In the closest game of the week, G’ss Mafia hung on to defeat The Wolfpack, 228-216. The Wolfpack had the two highest scoring players in the game (Baker Mayfield/46 points and Jaxon Smith-Njigba/40 points), but G’ss Mafia had every player score in double digits. It was truly a unified effort. Showtime defeated Phriends of the Devil, 223-190, led by their top pick Bijan Robinson/50 points, who had his second career 100+ yard receiving game. One part of the champions lost, but the Cowboys beat TWB in a rematch from last years Championship by the largest margin of victory of the week (47.5 points), 207-160. The victory was so lopsided that The Cowboys highest scoring player, Zay Flowers/47 points who played on Sunday night, wasn’t even needed, because The Cowboys had already won the game. TWB scored the lowest score of the week. In the final game of the week, XXXL beat 3 all the way by 18 points, 203-185. On the Friday before the game, the only kicker they drafted, The Bills Tyler Bass was placed on IR. Within an hour they made a trade with Dynamic Duo who reached out to them, getting Chris Boswell for their first supplemental draft pick. Boswell scored 25 points. If they don’t make that trade, they don’t win that game. Bravo, great job. It was a wild first week with a lot of close games. No matter what happened, win or loss, good or bad. It was week one. It means almost nothing. There are a few things that we saw that maybe we can start to believe but no one looks as good or as bad as they really are after one week. Things will begin to crystallize as the weeks go by, but for the time being we have to roll with the punches.

Games of the Week

Week #2

The Cowboys (1-0) vs G’ss Mafia (1-0)

The Cowboys are the reigning, defending, currently undefeated OSFL champions. The first thing Ron Zednik asked me on Monday morning was, did Kon win. If you don’t think theres a little bit of, I don’t want to call it bad blood, certainly a competitive rivalry going on here in the back ground, then you haven’t been paying attention. Ron want’s to prove to Kon that he made him and not the other way around. The OSFL isn’t just about football, it’s about people and how to read them, motivate them and how certain people jell with one another. There is a psychological aspect to being successful. The Cowboys are 4 time OSFL champions (2001, 2012, 2019 and 2024), it’s a mistake to underestimate Ron & Dino and now Ron’s “Hype Man” Vin Roc. Historically the Cowboys have been terrible the year after a championship season, they usually come in fat and baked out of their minds, but Kon lit a fire under Ron because Kon thinks he should get most of the glory for the Cowboys 2024 title run. This is the best Cowboys roster the year after a championship they have ever had. The Cowboys are at fighting weight, ready to defend the title. The year after a championship win, I am usually crucifying The Cowboys in this spot. I can’t, I have eyes, I can see the talent everywhere. Did they invest too heavily in the Cowboys, absolutely. They’re starting 3. They’ve moved Dallas Goedert into the starting line up for week 2, but he’s already hurt. Goedert has been such a disappointment, he’ll have a few big games and then miss 3. He’s missed 15 games over the last 3 seasons. Too many. In Dak’s last 3 starts at home vs Giants, he’s thrown 9 TD’s, hit 2 bonuses and one double bonus. The Giants got lip up by Washington, allowing the 3rd most total yards last week and they were gashed for 220 rush yards. The Giants defense still stinks. The weakest part of the OSFL Cowboys offense are these Cowboys who have historically smashed the Giants in Dallas. Their RB’s are the deepest in the OSFL. No one is even close. Josh Jacobs is a legit top 6 RB1 and rising. He’s scored a TD in 9 consecutive games dating back to last season. Jonathan Taylor had 2 TD’s scavenged by Daniel Jones in week 1. I wouldn’t be too worried about that. Taylor will get his. Chuba Hubbard is a legit RB2 in any offense in the OSFL, he’s an RB3 or RB4 in this offense. Kenneth Walker did nothing last week. He has proven over the last 3 years, he’s a 30 PPG player when he’s on the field. Of all their backs, at the very least Walker is the one they should’ve handcuff. They have no handcuffs and they have no back ups. I can only go by the team that’s on the field at the moment and this backfield is stacked. Two of the guys have extensive injury histories, so we’ll see how long this lasts. Zay Flowers disappears all the time, but when the game script features him, he mimics a WR1’s production. It’s only week 1, but Zay Flowers is a breakout candidate. DK Metcalf is playing Seattle this week. He’s either going to blow up or get thrown out of the game for fighting.

I apologized earlier to G’ss Mafia for giving them a D for their draft. That was a mistake. This draft was far from perfect but this team is going to win some games. I’ve made my feelings very clear on drafting 2 similarly productive QB’s. Tough decisions breed mistakes. The fewer decisions you have to make, the easier this game is. I’m telling you, the days of waiting on QB are passé. Now will one or two teams get away with punting QB, maybe but wouldn’t you rather be in the stud QB market? Jared Goff should be fine. He’s historically a better QB at home. This game has changed drastically. You do not need to go heavy on RB any longer. I loved the Breece Hall third round pick and he instantly rewarded G’ss Mafia with a 100+ yard game and he had 21 touches, a number he reached just twice in 2024. The rumors of Breece Hall’s demise were greatly exaggerated. He may never be a first round pick, but he’s is one hell of a 3rd round pick. JK Dobbins also compiled 21 touches and scored a TD in week 1. As long as Dobbins is healthy, he’s a solid RB2. The issue is the cupboard is empty at RB after these two RB’s. This is an issue that must be addressed at some point. The core of this offense is at WR. Justin Jefferson is one of the best in the NFL. Brian Thomas Jr. scored a TD in week 1, but only had 2 touches. That’s probably a week one aberration. I didn’t see the game, but he was targeted 7 times and only had 1 catch. The points will come. My flag is firmly planted in the Marvin Harrison Jr is going to breakout camp. I believe he’s going to have some BIG games going forward. Jameson Williams is an explosive player who only needs 2 or 3 catches a game to be relevant. I didn’t initially notice how many Lions G’ss Mafia starts, but they’re rolling with Goff, Williams and Sam LaPorta every week. That’s a lot or players from one team to rely on every week but this was an explosive offense a year ago. One of these teams will remain undefeated. If G’ss Mafia wins this game it’s a major victory for them. G’ss Mafia’s players have some good match ups but I’m rolling with champs. I believe the Cowboys RB’s will ultimately carry them to victory, while Dak looks better in week two. Cowboys win.

XXXL (1-0) Vs. Showtime (1-0)

This is another match up where one of these two teams should leave the game undefeated (we did have a tie last year). Let’s start with Showtime. What in the world was that from Joe Burrow. 113 pass yards and 1 TD. We’re going to chalk it up to, The Bengals and Joe Burrow are trash in week 1 games. Over the past 3 years in week 1, Burrow has thrown for 82 yards/0 TD, 164 yards/0 TD and 113/1 TD. Joe Burrow is going to leave scotched earth in some of his games, numbers that will leave your eyes wide and your jaw open. Joe Burrow is a monster. Better days are coming. Bijan Robinson scored 50 points in week 1 and I know in this game it doesn’t matter how these guys score their points. He had 100 receiving yards and that’s great, but he looked like trash on the ground (12-24) and it doesn’t get any easier next week against Minnesota. James Cook scored a TD in his 5th consecutive game dating back to last year, he also had 18 touches and caught 5 passes for 58 yards. James Cook is not consistently going to receive that type of volume. He crossed the 18 touch barrier 4 times in 2024. He’s caught 5 passes in a game 6 times in his 50 game career. I’m not saying James Cook isn’t a good player, he’s very good but what I am saying is that historically the way Cook scored points in week 1, is not the way he normally scores points. Mike Evans did not score in week 1. Let’s just say Emeka Egbuka is not going to catch 2 TD’s every week. Mike Evans is a solid producer. Jakobi Meyers is one of the most underrated players in the NFL today. All this guy does is produce. Showtime should be charged with theft for stealing Meyers in round 9. No team looked worse than the Miami Dolphins in week 1, and while I do believe that the nerd in Miami will be the first coach fired in 2025, the Dolphins will rebound in week 2. The Patriots defense made Geno Smith look like Drew Brees (364 yards and 1 TD). I love Miami to rebound in week 2. Jerry Jeudy is another solid unsung hero at WR. Oh my goodness did Tyler Warren look good in week 1. It’s much to early to say he’s the next Brock Bowers, but we need to keep an eye on his production because he’s good, he’s very, very good.

Patrick Mahomes didn’t have a huge game but did enough to lead XXXL to victory in week 1. Mahomes isn’t putting up the type of offensive production he did earlier in his career but he still does enough to win games. Travis Kelce looked slow and was only targeted 4 times, but he scored a 37 yard TD. The biggest surprise in XXXL’s offense and one of the biggest surprises of week 1 overall was the massive game from Travis Etienne (16-143 rushing/3-13 receiving for 39.6 points). It took just that one game for the Jaguars to jettison Tank Bigsby to Philadelphia and begin to clear up the Jacksonville backfield. Etienne is the man until further notice with another great match up this week against Cincinnati. XXXL won their game in week 1, but most of this team underwhelmed. Amon-Ra St. Brown, De’Von Achane and Tee Higgins’s teams all suffered bad losses or wildly underperformed. I think most of this can be calked up to its week 1. All of these players will bounce back and it could be as soon as this week. I have no idea what to make of Tyrone Tracy in year two yet. Davante Adams is a complimentary piece on the Rams offense. It’s the Puka Nacua show in LA. XXXL manufactured a win and they should be commended and get all the credit for it, but they have to and should score more going forward. It’s probably going to be tight but I expect Joe Burrow to lead Showtime to victory in this one.

The Wolfpack (0-1) Vs Dynamic Duo (0-1)

It’s crazy but one of these teams is going to start the season 0-2. Last week Dynamic Duo lost their game because their top 2 picks Ja’Marr Chase & AJ Brown combined for 9.4 points. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that barring catastrophic injury, I doubt both of these WR’s crap the bed this badly in the same week for the rest of the year. AJ Brown usually cries and gets more looks. Established Diva’s get fed. For my money, Ja’Marr Chase is the most explosive non-QB weapon in the game and will get back on track soon. Josh Allen makes up for a lot of underperforming at other positions. He’s playing like the best player in the NFL. Dynamic Duo’s RB’s aren’t the best in the OSFL, but they certainly aren’t the worst either. James Conner is an old dog, but he’s consistent and solid. D’Andre Swift didn’t have huge game, but no other Bears RB had a rush attempt in week 1. Getting the touches is half the battle. Jacoby Croskey-Merritt led all rookie RB’s in week 1 with 82 rush yards and he scored a TD. All rookies will struggle, but we’re very high on him and he has a lot of runway in this offense. Old man Ekeler is on borrowed time. We did not expect Michael Pittman Jr to lead all of our non-QB players in scoring/28 points in week 1. Clearly that won’t continue, but Pittman is just being asked to be a WR3 in this offense. We believe TJ Hockenson is going to have a bounce back season in 2025.

The Wolfpack got solid production in week one from everyone except Terry McLaurin/6.7 points and David Njoku/9.7 points. Baker Mayfield continued his TD bonanza over the previous 2 seasons, throwing 3 TD in week 1. Baker Mayfield is playing his second road game in a row. Since he signed with Tampa Bay, he’s played a second game in row on the road 6 times and has thrown 15 TD’s and hit 3 bonuses in those games. Those are pretty good numbers. Somebody see if Paul O’Leary is awake yet since leaving the draft because this is good stuff. The foundation of The Wolfpack’s offense is their WR’s. In 10 career games against the Giants, CeeDee Lamb averages 6-86 and scored 5 TD’s to go along with 3 bonuses (all of them in Dallas). Good lord, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is really emerging as an elite WR. Ladd McConkey had two 5 catch games and scored a TD against his week 2 opponent Las Vegas last season. McLaurin and Njoku will come around eventually. Somebody rub Paul’s belly and put him back to sleep because it’s about to get ugly. The problem with The Wolfpacks Offense is at RB. Yes Jaylen Warren salvaged his week 1 by scoring a receiving TD, but his rushing numbers 11-37 were not good. It is a matter of time, I say by week 4 or 5, before Kaleb Johnson takes over the starting role. I believe that with every fiber of my being. I’m not saying Warren will disappear from the offense, but his usage will be capped. Warren is a 200 touch back. He is what he is. If The Wolfpack can survive with 15-18 point average per week then they’re good. Aaron Jones also salvaged his week by scoring a receiving TD on Monday night. There were a few times early in the game when he took some big shots. Jones only touched the ball 11 times. Last year he touched the ball 11 times or less twice. Jordan Mason was the primary ball carrier with 16 touches. Jones will be 31 in early December. Warren & Jones are Flex level RB’s and looking at the bench it doesn’t appear that help is on the way. The Wolfpack will be on the hunt for some RB depth in the Supplemental drafts or at some point they may have to make a move. They have an excess of talent at WR. At some point there is going to be an explosion of points for Dynamic Duo at WR. I don’t know if that’s this week, but it could be. I expected at least 60 more points from our top 2 picks. The cavalry is on the way. I’m taking Dynamic Duo to win.

Allbrite Picks (1-0) Vs 3 All The Way (0-1)

Angry Allbrite enter week 2 with a 1-0 record. The Fish was missed, BIG time and in so many ways. Jayden Daniels was in a tough spot on Thursday night, playing a top defense on the road in a short week. He got a lot of garbage time stats to salvage his week, but he took some big shots. Daniels has been good, but when you’re the 4th overall QB taken in the third round, you expect more than low 40’s. Derrick Henry was the #1 overall RB in week 1, rushing for 169 yards and 2 TD’s, but he also fumbled the ball that would turn out to cost the Ravens the game. Henry is still a blue chip stud RB even at 31 years old. Jordan Mason took the lion share Of the Vikings rush attempts in week 1. If this continues then Allbrite Picks may have found the RB2 they need. Drake London exited week 1 with a shoulder injury but was a full participant at practice on Friday and has a tremendous match up against Carolina in week 1. Last time he faced the Panthers, he caught 10-187 and 2 TD’s. London has 4 career TD’s in 6 games vs the Panthers. Emeka Egbuka sprang from the starting blocks with an impressive 2 TD’s performance in his first NFL game. Egbuka faces a tougher test against Houston but the game is in prime time on Monday night this week. George Pickens was lackluster in week 1. He could get on track this week against the Giants. IF and this is one of the biggest IF’s of the 2025 season, If Chris Olave can stay healthy then Allbrite Picks may stolen a WR2 level producer in the 8th round. At TE, Allbrite Picks made a mistake that many of us have made, they chose the match up over the talent at their TE position this week. Tucker Kraft caught 2-16 and a TD/13.4 points in the starting line up of Allbrite Picks week 1 victory. They sat him on Thursday night and he went ballistic on their bench (6-124 and a TD/56.4 points) in favor of Brenton Strange who is facing a very bad Bengals defense. The Packers look like a Super Bowl contender, beating the Lions and Redskins thus far. The quicker we realize the more decisions you have to make, the harder you make this game for yourself, it’s The same reason why you shouldn’t have 2 similarly productive QB’s. I’m not going to beat a dead horse, but how much could your opinion have changed from draft day 2 weeks ago? Whether you won or lost in week 1, if you think you drafted someone good enough to start, have the conviction to to stick with him. A decision like this can snowball, because now your going to chase those points and that could be a mistake also. To me it comes down to this, The Packers look too good not to start anyone you can from this team right now. Strange could still have a BIG day on Sunday.

3 All the Way delivered a stale performance in week 1 in a loss to XXXL. Jalen Hurts rushed for 2 more TD’s in week 1, on his way to scoring a solid 44.3 points. Ashton Jeanty did not look particularly good in week 1 against the Patriots, but we’ll look on the bright side for now. Jeanty salvaged a weak performance with 21 touches and a TD. After that, Houston we have a problem. Isiah Pacheco getting just 7 touches in week 1 is troublesome. The Chiefs split the touches between Pacheco and Kareem Hunt evenly at 7 apiece. 3 Dog Night needs to see more. It appears that 3ATW is starting Trey Benson after a 9 touch performance (8-69 rush/1-6 recv/13.5 points). This seems like they're trying to force a square peg into a round hole. I approached 3 All The Way about a trade for Benson this week because we have James Conner. We offered them Dylan Sampson but they had no interest. Benson got 52 of his 69 rush yards on one play. He was 7-17 on the remainder of his runs. If Conner ever went down, 3ATW would be in great shape but while Conner is upright, this is a wing and a prayer play. For me, after Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, Puka Nacua might be the third most important WR in the game today. Puka left the game in week 1 one because he was bleeding from his eye or head, only to return and compile 10-130/43.6 points. Courtland Sutton continues to produce at a high level 6-61 with a 1 TD/25 points. He’s a solid WR2. It remains to be seen if Cooper Kupp is cooked, but he didn’t looked great in week 1 (2-15 on 3 targets). Trey McBride is among the best TE’s in the game today. There will be weeks when he carries this team and this could be one of them. Greg Cambio worked the phones and pulled off the type of trade XXXL used against them in week 1. 3ATW traded away their week 4 supplemental draft pick to the Cowboys for the Packers Brandon McManus who ended up scoring 17.4 points on Thursday night. Win lose or draw this week, this was a good trade. It would have been nice for Allbrite Picks to nullify Trey McBride on Thursday night with Tucker Krafts 56 points but that wasn’t in the cards. That could really come back to haunt them. I have this game as a coin toss. Their are paths to victory for both teams. Allbrite Picks has 5 players playing in prime time, but I’m taking 3 All The Way to squeeze out a victory in week 2.

Bronx Swag (0-1) Vs Phriends of the Devil (0-1)

The PO’s vs The Convict. One of these two teams will most likely start the 2025 season down 0-2. There is always the chance of a tie. Bronx Swag suffered 2 injuries on Thursday night, losing old man Austin Ekeler for the season with an achillies injury and Jayden Reed is out indefinitely with a broken collarbone. Ekeler’s career is over. He’ll be 31 in December with an achillies injury. It’s over Johnny, it’s over. The only reason Bronx Swag drafted Ekeler is because Dynamic Duo who has Jacory Croskey-Merritt drafted CMC’s back up Brian Robinson Jr. It was a bad and forced pick, but it’s not a huge loss to them. Losing Jayden Reed hurts much more. Reed was a usable WR/Flex option most weeks for a team that looks Super Bowl bound. Lamar Jackson is going to do what he does. He’s as dangerous at QB as anyone who plays the position, but they need more out Mark Andrews (1-5 on 1 target), what the hell was that? Christian McCaffrey led all RB’s in week 1 with 31 touches. If the 49ers continue to give 29 year old CMC this type of workload, he’s not going to make it thru half the season. To me CMC didn’t play terrible, but he looked a little slow. Anyone who gets 31 touches is going to put up numbers. Chase Brown compiled 23 touches and scored a TD, but his rushing numbers (21-43, 2 YPC) leave little to be desired. Tony Pollard compiled 19 touches but lost a fumble in week 1. Garrett Wilson looked great. Bronx Swag should continued to get WR1/top 10 WR production out of Wilson. Calvin Ridley is a hit or miss player. He’s starting the season against a couple of tough defenses. Hollywood Brown’s production in week 1 was born out of necessity when Xavier Worthy went down and Rashee Rice already on a 6 game suspension. I need to see it again before I’m a believer because Hollywood has been in great spots before and dropped passes and disappeared into oblivion. He also has to stay healthy. He hasn’t played a full season since 2021. I don’t think Miami plays as badly as they did in week 1 and I expect better production out of Jaylen Waddle.

Kon, Mr. Renzi and Magic Marc Moody (Triple M) made their solo OSFL debut last week and got dropped by Showtime. They argued about not starting Javonte Williams in week one in their league group chat. Williams scored 2 TD. Over the last 5 years, few RB’s have come into the NFL with as much hype and disappointed as much as Javonte has. I do not trust him at all but the Giants gave up 220 on the ground in week 1. Any time you get 40 points out of your QB, especially when you’re one of the last teams to draft a starting QB, that’s a good thing. Kyler Murray is starting the season against 2 soft opponents (New Orleans and Carolina). We should see more of the same this week. #1 overall pick Jahmyr Gibbs had no room to run against the Green Bay Packers in week 1. He compiled 19 touches and struggled to score 29.5 points. I expect Gibbs will find room to run against the Bears in week 2. I’m no Bucky Irving fan but he compiled 18 touches and scored a TD in week 1. Could be a little tougher as he faces Houston in prime time this week. Rookie Omarian Hampton was lackluster in his week 1 debut but he out-touched Najee Harris 17 to 1. Phriends of the Devil have several options at WR. They seem to be committed to Tetairoa McMillan, over guys like Ricky Pearsall and Rome Odunze. Pearsall hit a bonus (4-108) and Rome scored a TD. McMillian wasn’t bad (5-68/16.8 points on 9 targets), I just don’t know that I would play him above those other guys and DeVonta Smith shouldn’t ever leave the starting line up. One of these guys should be moved because this team needs a TE. Chig Okonkwo is a career TE2. I’m taking the convict. Phriends of the Devil need to figure a few things out. Of all the teams in the OSFL, Phriends of the Devil are the team that’s going to have to make the most difficult decisions and that will undoubtedly lead to mistakes. It’s problematic. I do not like taking 5 WR’s who are have similar production value, ok now go pick two that have to sit, you’re going to make mistakes. It’s just not how I play this game. Bronx Swag should prevail as I expect a well rounded effort Frankie & Ed Money.

Two Weeks of Bacon (0-1) Vs G-Force (1-0)

I specifically saved this game for last because… and I hope I’m wrong, but I think this one could get out of hand. If I gave G’ss Mafia a grade lower than they deserved, I might have been a little too kind to TWB, giving them a B based on past history. I’m looking at this starting line up and I already see the problem I’ve talked about at nauseam. When you have have 2 QB’s with similar production values, you have no QB. I understand Miami looked like dog crap in week one, but it was week 1. TWB is rolling with Drake Maye? Really? In week 2 on the road, against an opponent that usually smokes you? Ok. TWB is already dealing with BIG losses as Brock Purdy and George Kittle are OUT. Kittle was placed on IR, meaning he will miss the next 4 games. That activated TWB’s first compensation pick. TWB used their first compensation pick on TE Juwan Johnson who hit a bonus (8-76), scoring 33.6 points. These picks never seem to work out. Johnson’s 8 catches tied a career high. I’m not saying this was a bad pick. They had to make this pick. I just don’t trust anything the New Orleans Saints are rolling out there these days. TWB doesn’t currently have an RB1. David Montgomery received 15 touches but did little with them. He should put up better numbers against his former team (The Chicago Bears). TreVeyon Henderson out touched Rhamondre Stevenson 11 to 9. Neither back showed much in week 1. I do think that Kaleb Johnson will take over the Steelers RB1 spot within 4 weeks but that remains to be seen. Nico Collins and Malik Nabers need to step up BIG time or this is going to be a long season for TWB. I don’t know what to expect from Travis Hunter who caught 6-33 on 8 targets in his NFL debut. TWB has moved Darnell Mooney into the starting line up this week. Again I don’t know what to expect. Mooney played well last year but missed week 1 with an injured shoulder.

G-Force registered the first weekly high score of the season against a very tough Dynamic Duo opponent. They were led by Justin Herbert who had the second highest score of any QB in the OSFL in week 2. I do not expect Herbert to continue to log 60+ point games consistently. The Chargers offense is usually a run heavy attack and they just came out chucking it against KC on Friday night. TWB doesn’t not have the horses to contend with G-Forces RB’s. Saquon Barkley had 22 touches and scored a TD. Barkley caught 4 passes in week 1, he only did that 5 times all season in 2024. If Barkley is going start catching more passes in 2025, I don’t even want to think about that. It was vintage Kyren Williams who compiled 19 touches and scored a TD against a tough Houston defense. I don’t like New Orleans at all this season, but if you’re going to have one guy on the Saints it’s Alvin Kamara who salvaged a 13 touch performance with a TD. DJ Moore had a slow first week (3-68/15 points) but should get back on track soon. Deebo Samuel and Zach Ertz both added 25 point games on Thursday night. Thru 2 games, Deebo looks like a different man than he was a year ago. Brock Bowers erupted for 45 points in week 1 but he might not play in week 2 because of a knee injury and the scary part is, G-Force might not need him this week. It will probably be Khalil Shakir if Bowers can’t go or if Bowers news isn’t available by the time they need to make a decision. TWB might have an advantage at WR, but G-Force holds the decided advantage everywhere else. Last week G-Force scored the most points and TWB scored the fewest. I don’t see that TWB has the horses to contend with G-Forces offense. I think that G-Force is going to smash TWB this week and if TWB starts the season 0-2 with the least or close to the least points, that’s hole they won’t be able to crawl out of until at least October. Pudgie has to get creative before things begin to spin out of control. I’m not saying panic and the game still has to be played but when you look at this game, player for player, they’re going to get smoked this week. G-Force is my lock of the week.
