Oh NO ! Here we go again !
Oh BRUTAL! This is the 2nd week in a row we get players blown up! It's a minefield out there. Look at James Conner take a step, then BOOM! he's gone. Najee Harris tries to breathe, BAM! he's out for good. It doesn't even stop there, there's more!!!
But on the bright side (for some lucky FF owners), it opens up full-time opportunities for other players, transforming from a late-round pick (or even a waiver addition, mind you) into early-round GOLD!!
Hard blows for certain, but it all boils down to which fantasy teams were drafted better to be able to absorb (or avoid) that kind of punishment. Russell Wilson got benched? Go get Dart! There are still some gold nuggets hidden out there. But it's YOUR job to find them! If they stay hidden, it helps no one!
Despite the horror show we had witnessed, there are still some highlights....
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - QB Jalen Hurts of Enforcers. Hurts threw for 226 yards and three TDs, plus he ran in for another TD for 31.04 fantasy points. He is definitely the Flying Eagle (no relation to The Hawk)!
TEAM OF THE WEEK - Enforcers. Led by his QB Hurts (see above), Enforcers got RB Travis Etienne for 11.6 points, WR Nico Collins for 16.4 points, TE T.J. Hockenson for 10.9 points, and the Vikings just clobbered the Burrow-less Bengals for 25 points!! Enforcers has this week's best team score of 111.84 points. He always gets the piece of the action!
GAME OF THE WEEK - Goodyear Silents vs Bexans. The defending DFFL3 champion Goodyear is having a bad dream. Last week, he lost his QB Joe Burrow. This week, his backup QB Russell Wilson became such a DUD (only 9.1 points!), his own coach benched him after the game. The only player on his team playing well is RB James Cook with 17.8 points. Same with Bexans, only the rookie (who's starting to get hot) WR Rome Odunze had 10+ points, scoring 12.2 points. But both teams still had one player remaining for MNF with Goodyear leading 47.3 to 36.9. Goodyear had RB Derrick Henry who got 11.7 points, but Bexans got QB Lamar Jackson who did his thing with 27.02 points. That allowed Bexans to come back from behind and upset Goodyear, 63.92 to 59. Goodyear is beginning to look like a flaming Zeppelin about to crash !
Now bye weeks are just one week away ! And don't forget that this week we have a Sunday 9:30am EST game in Ireland ! Set your lineups according.
GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK !
