JERSEY CITY,NJ - In a scene reminiscent of the Wacky Racers, Erik Infantes, GM of the 2025 franchise Action Jackson and Captain Cook, took first place in the 14th annual Tricycle Sprint Race on Saturday.

Infantes, 45,  competed in the tricycle race against the 13 other league general managers, who range in age from 24 to 64 years and won his first race ever during the preseason events.

Infantes had a strong start, trailing past winners Brian Miller and George Manuel, but was able to pull around them to take the lead and maintained it for the duration of the track at Mosquito Park. Miller and Manuel pulled out a few tricks, throwing water at him, dropping tacks on the road and creating a smoke screen attempting to slow down the field but they were unable to slow down the determined Infantes.

The 100 yard track showcased plenty of elevated trails, tricky technical descents and flowy sections of trail. Infantes set a strong and consistent pace and displayed expert race tactics and technical proficiency.

75-degree temperatures took a toll on some of the racers, but Infantes strategically hydrated while racing, a tactic that is essential in competitions where temperatures climb.

Infantes crossed the finish line 40 seconds ahead of the main field, holding his hand high in victory.

Infantes will hope to defend his title next September when the NDFFL kicks off its 31st season.

Congratulations to George Manuel, defending NDFFL Champion. Good luck to everybody on the upcoming season which is year # 30 of the NDFFL.
