I see that my previous post/question is now a moot point. We now have a roster size limit of 23 players. When did that rule change occur? We keep 15 and draft 7 rounds, but then pick up another player afterwards?
The five IR spots is a bit overkill as well. I believe that we increased that up from two or three during the COVID year, when it became necessary. Joe got rid of COVID and it is no longer a thing.
I felt it was rather suspect, the over drafting of rosters of those who had acquired extra drafts picks. Thought that rosters were capped at 22 players? To draft over the limit and then slide players to the IR skirts the rule. In the past when a team has dispensable picks, they threw them away. I had an extra draft pick and chose Trevor Simean- one who no one would consider drafting. Thought that was the considerate thing to do, and to keep draft night moving smoothly. I guess I could have drafted another player knowing that I had a player IR eligible. I will know better next time.
