IR is used at the managers discretion for players on the injury report. We've had abuses over the years of people using the IR to horde players or keep them off the waiver wire. If the player plays in the game and is on your IR it's a 10 point deduction. Difficult to manage on Sunday mornings before noon for those of us with late Sunday games or Monday night game decisions to make for sure. But this is only a 10 team leauge and we already make you keep 2 kickers and 2 defenses on every roster to keep plenty of free agent options available to anyone with injury problems. Use IR freely but the responsibility to monitor whether the player will play rests with the manager.
