Draft Review Raiders
REBUILD! I hate missing the playoffs but I knew my team was getting old. And just like a 30 year old RB...there's a cliff. I started acquiring draft picks and then let's play a game. Welcome to 2025 and with 7 trades, I acquired 3 future draft picks, LB Nakobe Dean, WR Jayden Reed, and S Derwin James.
1.05 RB TreVeyon Henderson. Thank you RB class because my cupboard was bare. I now have something to start. Good landing spot and he doesn't put the ball on the ground.
1.07 WR Travis Hunter. After the RB run, why not grab the Offensive Rookie of the year. Hunter will play both offense and defense allowing solid numbers each week instead of the ups and downs of a normal rookie. I would have drafted him at #2 overall. He is going to be a fantasy stud for years.
2.01 QB Jaxson Dart. I have Goff and a massage therapist in my QB room. I need a real backup plan.
2.03 RB Woody Marks. He could fall in a flex at sometimes this year. With no RBs, I have to fill the room and Mixon always seems to be on his way out. Maybe next year is when Marks brings the value.
2.11 TE Terrance Ferguson. He had a great combine and lands in a good spot. He can sit a little this year and learn or if everyone gets hurt again can step in and take it over.
2.13 LB Carson Schwesinger. JOK could be done forever. Hicks is old. Schwesinger is a tackling machine. There will be plenty opportunity for this guy to make a name for himself.
3.11 RB Ollie Gordon. Did I mention that I have nothing in my RB room? Gordon was a stud in 2023. A dud in 2024. Will the real Ollie Gordon please stand up? There may be some concerns with his off-field. Hopefully he can get it together and become part of the committee or even become the top guy. Anything is possible for this guy.
5.04 DB Malaki Starks. Out with the old, in with the new in the DB room
7.07 LB Shemar James. I needed to draft someone here. Throwing mud
I have done 2 things in this draft that I never do. I drafted a Patriot player. I drafted a Cowboy player. I'm feeling a little nauseous. But I added significant depth and future picks for next year. Championship this year? Probably not but I'll be coming back instead of taking a beating each week. Good luck to you all. You're going to need it!
