Thanks for the consideration of drafting fewer players. Maybe we can revisit this next year. Doesn't have to be 12 players, although I like that number. Could be 13 or 14.

Ok Coaches,

Regarding the 3 rule proposals submitted to the message board:

Proposed Rule #1    Declined by majority.

Proposed Rule #2. Accepted by the majority

Proposed Rule #3. Accepted by the majority

There will be an I/R position available for this season. I will contact RT sports and it should be official early next week.

Regarding the keeper:   This will come into effect for next draft in 2025. We will declare which player to be kept after we choose draft positions and divisions.

Each team will be able to keep one player.  That Keeper draft position will depend on where he was drafted on your team from the previous year (2024).   No first round keepers.  No keeping players picked up off the waiver wire.  No players derived from trades.  He must be a player your drafted team.  He must also be on your roster at the end of the season.

An example:  If you draft Caleb Williams in the 13th round of the draft this year, you can opt to keep him and that would be your 12th round pick in 2025.  Or, if you draft Josh Allen in the 2nd round this year and you opt to keep that player for the 2025 draft, that will be your one and only first round pick in 2025.  Again, keepers do not apply to your first round pick.

1. Like it yes 12 teams makes a lot of sense and half the players drafted are trash last few rounds.

Absolutely support reducing draft to 12 players. As the season progresses and poor performance and injuries pile up, a larger pool will be much more valuable than the current. Currently, there is frequently no decent replacement available. A bigger pool creates more flexibility and better options. Nothing sacred about drafting 16.

Hello Coaches,

The draft positions and the divisions have been chosen by the cards.  The draft is scheduled for 10am and will be hosted at Mike Negus's home or online.

There has been suggestions for rule changes and you can either call me, text me or I will call you for your vote.

Suggested rule changes:

1.  Reduce the number of draft choices from 16 to 12 players.  Makes the pool of remaining players bigger and more valuable and effective.  Also shortens the draft as those last 4 rounds are the slowest.

2.  Keeper. Vote to keep a player drafted after the 3rd round for next years draft.  This will also apply to undrafted players acquired from the waiver wire that were not drafted in the first 3 rounds.   This rule change will apply to next years draft.

3. Create an i/r position.  This will apply to players that have been ruled out by the nfl.  If that player is ruled out by the NFL with either an X or an O you can move a player to the I/R position and acquire a player from the available player pool.   No players can be dropped or acquired prior to the wednesday waiver wire.   Covid players are not subject to I/R.  If your player is sidelined by covid you can move the player to the covid list and pick up a player. You do not need to use the I/R position for covid designated players.
