I’ve been in the league for I think around 6 years now and I play in probably too many leagues as well however I really enjoy this league and feel it’s a quality league.
I’m not trying to start anything either but to say that there are too many trades confuses me. There have been a total of 6 trades in the past 4 years!  They happened as follows… 2023 in week 8, 2022 in week 7, 2021 in weeks 2 and 9 and 2020 in weeks 3 and 10.
My only trade was in 2022 that seemed to upset a few folks but I went 0-2 after that trade and wasn’t guaranteed of making the playoffs. My gamble paid off that year but I suffered from that trade in last years season because I gave up both my 1st and 2nd picks.

I play in a high stakes 16 team league where our commish does exactly what is done in this league and it works fine. Not everyone is going to agree or have the same opinion on a trade and thats ok… but veto leagues never work. All of RTS money leagues abandoned the veto process 4 years ago.  I’m up for people discussing and league votes for rule changes but only 6 trades over 4 years is our system really broken?

And dropping out 5 days before the draft when you’ve had this feeling about trades for awhile now… really?  All due respect.

I’m not trying start anything or make things worst. I’m in 13 money leagues and most of them you are able to vote to approve or veto. Also i understand what you’re saying if a trade happens and the players are on different game time starts. The system will not allow the trade to happen until the next week. Plus since your commissioner I’m sure there are settings on this RTS cite to be able to change things. It’s nice to have active owners too for their involvement in the league. Usually it can be voted on how long an accepted trade to vote on takes. Unusually 1 or 2 days. I’m all for anything in this RTS league. Change is great. I’m a commissioner in my 1 league from guys at my ex job and we all are super very active owners and want the best for our league. We put out ideas and vote on things on the message board except we use the sleeper app.

I believe that no trade should be vetoed unless it is clearly collusion, and at that point I can reverse it by just putting players back where they were. Trades are hard enough to make as it is. Why add another obstacle?

The waiting period adds complexities when they over-lap with players games played. If you want to trade on a Saturday or Sunday, you have to wait until after the games for the trade to go through. If one player gets injured from the trade, all of sudden a team is stuck with an injured player. Yes, you made the trade and have to deal with it, but wouldn't that burden be easier to bear if you were allowed to play your player who got hurt? Instant trading avoids those issues with Thursday night games. If I'm trading away a guy playing Thursday, and you're giving me a guy playing Sunday, how does it work that you can't start the guy I'm giving you, but I can start your guy you gave me?

The counter arguments to the reason for vetoes is everyone gets a say. If a questionable trade happens, people will voice it. In my opinion, it is unfair to the people trading that the rest of the league can veto trades that actually help both teams. No one is going to like a trade that helps the guy in first, but it's usually the best way for the guy in last to possibly turn things around.

Veto periods add complexity, and headaches to an already complicated transaction. If both parties agree, then the trade should go through. What’s the difference between someone making a bad draft pick? Should we veto someone that picks or franchises a Defense or Kicker in the first round? If someone makes a bad move, that’s on them. Case in point, a few years ago I traded Dalvin Cook for Cam Newton. Cook ended up being one of the best players in fantasy that year and Newton ended up being horrible.

I’m confused y us as owners can’t vote on trades.

Hello I am out for this fantasy. The trades gets out of hand especially with the commish.

So please exclude me, Thanks everyone and good luck.
