New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams should continue to see more involvement during Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets in Week 11. Williams is coming off a strong outing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he posted a season-high (and, thus, career-high) 56 percent snap share. He caught one of two targets in the victory, breaking off an impressive 72-yard touchdown that wound up on numerous highlight reels. While we can't count on the rookie to break off a huge touchdown every week, last Sunday's big play should be enough to earn him more opportunities going forward. His volume will also continue to benefit from the absence of Kayshon Boutte (hamstring), who is headed for his second consecutive absence. Williams still has to compete with players like Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, and DeMario Douglas for volume, but he's certainly starting to earn the trust of Drake Maye and New England's coaching staff. Williams is a WR5 with a low floor and high ceiling this week. Managers in most leagues can leave him on the bench until we see him consistently earn more targets.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams made the first big play of his career in Week 10, recording a 72-yard touchdown catch in his team's 28-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Patriots wideout Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) sidelined by a hamstring injury, Williams played a career-high 56% of New England's offensive snaps against Tampa Bay. If Boutte remains out for the Patriots' Week 11 matchup against the New York Jets on Thursday night, Williams could have another chance to make an impact. Boutte was listed as a limited practice participant on Monday's injury report. Even if Boutte returns, Williams could still be worth stashing off the waiver wire in deep fantasy leagues as a player on the rise.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams made one of the highlight plays of the week with a 72-yard catch and run touchdown, marking his first career score in a 28-23 Week 10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Williams had only one reception on two targets, but the rookie made it count as he showed off his blazing speed on the long score. The rookie third-rounder hit a max speed of 21.78 mph on the play, which was the seventh fastest top speed by any player in the NFL this season, per Next Gen Stats. It was the highest mark by a Patriot all season until fellow rookie TreVeyon Henderson one-upped him, hitting 22.01 mph on his 55-yard touchdown run. Williams was expected to see more action with Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) out, but he had just a 58% route share in the game. It will be interesting to see how the wide receiver rotation shakes out when Boutte returns, but Williams flashed his big-play ability and certainly warrants more snaps going forward.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson and wide receiver Kyle Williams are expected to be more involved during Sunday's Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Tracy Wolfson of CBS. Both rookies will see increased workloads due to their teammates' injuries. Henderson is stepping into the lead-back role for the second consecutive week with Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) sidelined. The Ohio State product handled a 75 percent snap share last week, getting involved on the ground and through the air. Meanwhile, Williams should earn more snaps and targets with Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) sidelined. Williams logged a season-high (and, thus, career-high) snap share last week after Boutte went down. He failed to catch a pass in that victory, but he should have more opportunities with at least a couple of targets headed his way this Sunday. Henderson is startable as an RB2 in fantasy football, while Williams is more of a speculative stash.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams could handle additional volume after Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) was ruled out for Sunday's Week 10 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We saw Williams get more involved last week after Boutte exited against the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie finished the game with a season-high (and, thus, career-high) 46 percent snap share, but he wasn't able to haul in his lone target. There's a strong chance that Williams plays more than half the snaps this week, but his exact volume is unclear. After all, he's still competing for targets with players like Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Hunter Henry, and Austin Hooper. Thus, while Williams should enjoy the greatest involvement of his young career, it's too early to lock him into fantasy lineups. He can be left on waivers in redraft leagues and stashed on the bench in dynasty formats.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams is expected to have an expanded role for the upcoming Week 10 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The third-round pick hasn't made much of an impact this season, but they could change soon. Fellow wideout Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. That means, Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, and DeMario Douglas should be the primary wideouts. However, Williams should be in the mix as well after playing a season-high 46 percent of the offensive snaps last week. Williams has only two receptions on the season, so fantasy managers shouldn't pencil him into their lineups. Williams should be rostered in dynasty leagues and is someone to keep an eye on in deep leagues if Boutte misses more time.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams will likely have an "opportunity for expanded work" heading into a Week 10 tilt on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN. Fellow wideout Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) was injured in Sunday's one-point win over the Atlanta Falcons and is projected to miss practice early in the week. With Boutte up in the air to play this weekend, it could give Williams his first real chance to make noise on offense in his first year in the NFL. Head coach Mike Vrabel said that Williams has "been learning multiple spots, and he has settled down." The 22-year-old third-round pick (69th overall) has been active for all nine games this year, but he has only two catches on six targets for 20 yards. Williams isn't quite a waiver-wire target in 12-team fantasy leagues, though, as he'd likely be the WR4 behind Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, and Mack Hollins this weekend, even if Boutte doesn't play.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels recently said that rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams "continues to practice well" and is "doing a really good job of understanding his assignments," per ESPN's Mike Reiss. Williams has had a limited impact through the first six weeks of his career, recording two catches for 20 yards on four targets. However, it appears as though the team is happy with his progress and sees him as an important piece going forward. For now, Williams appears to be behind Stefon Diggs (chest), Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, and Mack Hollins on the depth chart at wide receiver in New England. He should remain off of the radar of redraft fantasy managers for the time being, but Williams maintains appeal in dynasty leagues.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie receiver Kyle Williams has yet to take 15 snaps in a game, and he hasn't seen a target since Week 3 against the Steelers, but his speed and quick release have shown up on film, and there's a chance his role could increase shortly. In Sunday night's win against the Bills, 90% of Williams' snaps came on passing plays, with the majority coming in the second half. Representing an element of speed that the Patriots' receivers room is otherwise lacking, he helped to create space for teammate Stefon Diggs on a night in which the veteran was targeted a season-high 12 times. With the Patriots traveling to New Orleans on Sunday, it's unlikely that Williams sees a breakout against a defense whose objective has been to keep everything in front of them, but should the rookie continue to do the things asked of him, he may see an increase in targets in the coming weeks.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams is still waiting for his breakout opportunity. Through four weeks, Williams has seen just two targets while playing only 16% of the team's snaps, slotting in as the fifth receiver in the rotation. The rookie has remained patient, saying, "I feel like I can do everything. At this point, it's just waiting for my turn." Encouragingly, Williams logged a season-high 31% snap share in Week 4, which suggests he may have leapfrogged DeMario Douglas, who regressed from 37% in Week 3 to 16% in Week 4. Williams will look to carve out a larger role in Week 5's primetime matchup against the undefeated Buffalo Bills.

New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams has had a quiet start to his NFL career. Through three games, he has caught both of his targets for 20 yards and has yet to play more than 10 snaps in a game. Williams currently sits behind Kayshon Boutte, Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, and DeMario Douglas on the depth chart, leaving him buried in the receiver rotation. The situation is made worse by the Patriots' offensive tendencies, as four of their top six leaders in receiving yards are tight ends or running backs. It's clear that Williams isn't a meaningful part of the passing attack yet, and his fantasy value is virtually nonexistent. Williams can safely be dropped in all redraft formats, though he still carries some long-term appeal in dynasty or keeper leagues.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams has yet to carve out a meaningful role in the offense. Through the first two games of the season, the 2025 third-round pick has been on the field for just 13% of the team's snaps and has only one target to show for it. Williams has been buried on the depth chart behind veterans Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, and younger receivers Kayshon Boutte and DeMario Douglas, all of whom have earned more consistent playing time. Until his role grows, Williams holds little fantasy appeal and is droppable in most formats.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams (head/undisclosed) was "sidelined by injury just as it seemed he was grasping the offense," according to Chad Graff of The Athletic. Williams was forced out of New England's second preseason game after getting hit in the head, and missed the team's third preseason game as a result. However, he returned to the practice field on Sunday and appears to be tracking towards being ready for Week 1. Williams is likely to open the season behind veteran Mack Hollins in the battle for the Patriots' WR3 role alongside Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas. The 22-year-old is a dynamic deep-ball threat with obvious upside, but he reportedly struggled with inconsistency throughout training camp. If Graff's feeling that Williams was starting to catch on before getting injured is correct, the rookie could be ready to make an impact sooner rather than later.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams (undisclosed) returned to practice on Sunday for the first time in a week, per Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald. Williams was forced out of the team's second preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings after being hit in the head, and as a result, did not participate in the preseason finale against the New York Giants on Thursday. Williams' return to practice is an encouraging sign for his Week 1 availability. The 22-year-old is not expected to start the season as one of the Patriots' top three wide receivers, but he's a big-play threat who could eventually work his way into a larger role.

New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams (head) will not practice on Monday, per ESPN's Mike Reiss. Williams left early from the team's preseason game on Saturday after taking a hard hit to the head. A third-round pick out of Washington State, Williams is competing with Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, and others for the WR3 role in New England alongside Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas. He has reportedly shown flashes of brilliance but has largely been inconsistent in training camp. As such, missed time for Williams could set him back in the race for playing time in New England. The 22-year-old has clear upside as a downfield threat, but he's unlikely to factor in fantasy in 2025.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams has been "a big-play machine whose hands let him down too much" in training camp so far, according to Chad Graff of The Athletic. Graff writes that Williams has "more drops than any other Pats receiver" and has made "too many mistakes" to secure the WR3 role in New England. A third-round pick out of Washington State, Williams recorded 70 catches for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games for the Cougars last season. The Patriots have Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas penciled in atop their wide receiver depth chart, but they're looking for someone to step up on the outside. Williams' main competition in camp is likely veteran Mack Hollins, but Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk could factor in as well. It appears as though Williams will need to be much more consistent throughout the remainder of the preseason to earn consistent playing time as a rookie.
