However, with Jerry Jeudy now in Cleveland, Patrick has an opportunity to step into the No. 2 role behind Courtland Sutton if he can stay healthy. In his last season in 2021, Patrick was serviceable in fantasy with a career-high 53 catches, 734 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 16 starts.

Assuming Patrick's agility and speed haven't been completely zapped by major injuries, he's likely to start the season behind Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, and Marvin Mims Jr. Troy Franklin and Lil'Jordan Humphrey could also pass him up on the depth chart, depending on how he's moving at this point in his career. The Broncos are likely to have a bottom-ten offense under rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Patrick has missed each of the last two years with injuries suffered during training camp -- first a torn ACL in 2022, and then a torn Achilles in 2023. The injuries came on the heels of a three-year, $30 million deal that he signed with the team in November of 2021, which came with $18.5 million guaranteed. The 30-year-old is set to count $15.5 million against the cap this year, but he has no guaranteed money left on his deal. Releasing him would free up $9.5 million in cap space. Patrick was one of the more underrated pass-catchers before his two season-ending injuries, but his fantasy stock has gone out the window due to his two unfortunate injuries the last two summers.
