Thielen had a career year, finishing seventh overall in fantasy receiver scoring. He was the top fantasy receiver about half the season before fading a little down the stretch. Thielen had eight straight 100-yard games to start his season but just one more the rest of the way. But even with that said, he still had double-digit fantasy points all but two games. He had at least five receptions 13 of 16 games. He had more than 100 receptions for the first time in his career. Thielen has two straight seasons with 90-plus catches and 1,200-plus yards. He is a top option in the Vikings pass-first offense. Thielen just makes plays. He runs top routes and can be a big-play threat despite lacking some top-end speed for the position. He has plus hands and a knack for making clutch plays. Fantasy Outlook: Thielen is a top-10 fantasy receiver. He gets a high-volume of receptions and will post good yard-age numbers. The only knock is a lack of scores, failing to have double-digit touchdowns any season. It wouldn't surprise if that changes this year if the Vikings get more consistent play from Kirk Cousins. Thielen can get 100-plus receptions, 1,300 yards and around 10 scores.
Thielen is slotted right in that third tier of WR next to Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen, and T.Y. Hilton. This is a deep year at receiver and all of these guys are either high-upside or extremely safe options that are going to see 140+ targets a piece. The same can be said for Thielen, who reeled in 113 of his 153 targets in 2018 on his way to a WR7 ranking. Its worth noting he dropped a bit in the second half and ranked WR23 from weeks 9-17. The Vikings didnt add any pass catchers to compete with Diggs and Thielen, so a comparable season can be expected. The schedule is phenomenal with the only real tough games coming against the Bears. He still had success against them last year, however. I wouldnt go out of my way to reach for Thielen, but would certainly let him fall in my lap towards the late third round or early fourth.

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) will probably miss Week 14's game versus the Detroit Lions but has a good chance of returning for Week 15's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen is a must-start option when healthy, although he has not played a full game since Week 6 and hasn't played at all since Week 9. Fantasy owners should keep him on the bench this week and look for safer receiving alternatives.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 14's game against the Detroit Lions, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen had been listed as doubtful on the injury report after not practicing at all during the week and it appears as though he will be sidelined for the fifth time in the last six games. Fantasy owners should keep him stashed on their benches this afternoon and look for alternative options.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) is expected to be out against the Lions in Week 14. Thielen suffered the injury at the end of October and will likely miss his fourth straight after failing to log a practice this week. In his absence, expect more looks for Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph, and Alexander Mattison on Sunday.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) was listed as "Doubtful" on Friday's final injury report. He did not practice this week and looks certain to be out for the fifth time this season. Thielen has said that he won't return until he's 100% healthy this time around, so look for an update on his Week 15 status sometime next week. Olabisi Johnson, Laquon Treadwell, Kyle Rudolph, and Irv Smith Jr. will again be the beneficiaries in his absence, but they're all difficult to trust due to volume concerns in a run-heavy offense. Stay tuned for an official confirmation on Thielen's Week 14 availability.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) was unable to practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Week 14 against the Detroit Lions. OT Riley Reiff (concussion) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Dec. 6, and is listed as questionable. DT Linval Joseph (knee), RB Dalvin Cook (chest), DE Everson Griffen (knee), LB Eric Wilson (shoulder), S Harrison Smith (hamstring) and DT Shamar Stephen (knee) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Dec. 6, and is listed as doubtful for the team's Week 14 game against the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy Spin: Unless there's a semi-miraculous change in fortune over the next 48 hours, it appears as if Thielen will miss his fifth start in the last six games. His fantasy owners should be well-versed in the Plan B drill.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) has a decent chance to play in the Week 14 game, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen has missed the first two practices this week, so fantasy players will need to see if he is on the field Friday, Dec. 6. He is a must-start option when healthy, but he would be a risky option if he plays this week because of the injury.
Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said that the team isn't ruling out wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) for Week 14 against the Lions. "Hes frustrated. I think hes got a good opportunity this week (to play), so well see. Hes working really hard. He obviously wants to get out there with his guys. Hes a great competitor. ... When he's ready, he's ready," Zimmer said. Thielen has yet to practice this week, however, so fantasy owners shouldn't be banking on him playing against Detroit. If he does suit up, though, he'll have WR2 upside in the first round of the fantasy playoffs. Stefon Diggs also has high-end WR2 upside regardless of whether Thielen plays. Kyle Rudolph and Olabisi Johnson won't have as much appeal if Thielen returns.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) was held out of practice Thursday, Dec. 5.
Fantasy Spin: The Vikings haven't announced as much, but Thielen seems to have suffered a setback after he practiced on a limited basis last week and appeared to have a chance at playing Monday night. We'll see if Friday brings better news, but it's starting to look like Thielen will miss another game.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) is not practicing for the second straight day this week on Thursday. As of now, it's looking like Thielen can't be trusted to return in Week 14 against the Lions in a good matchup. Keep him locked to your bench unless something changes with his status on Friday. Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph and Olabisi Johnson should remain the top three passing targets if Thielen misses another contest. Diggs went for seven catches and 143 yards in the last matchup with Detroit, so he'll be a high-end WR2 regardless of whether Thielen plays. Rudolph has become a touchdown hog with Thielen out of the lineup.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on the estimated injury report for Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen failed to suit up in Week 13 and has been sidelined since Week 9 with his last full game coming in Week 6. He'll need to be in lineups if able to return this week.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) did not take part in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Thielen has been out since Nov. 3 and has been a huge disappointment for fantasy owners that were needing him to produce for them to have a shot at the fantasy playoffs. He's no lock to return this week in a potential smash spot against the Lions Defense. If Thielen gets cleared, though, he'll have WR2 upside against a team that he scored against on Oct. 20. Stefon Diggs would be in line for a big game against Detroit with or without Thielen. Olabisi Johnson and Kyle Rudolph should continue to see bigger roles if Thielen is out again. Rudolph has become a TE1 ever since Thielen has been injured.
The Minnesota Vikings have declared WR Adam Thielen, LB Cameron Smith, DE Hercules Mata'afa, OT Aviante Collins, DE Jalyn Holmes, OL Olisaemeka Udoh and OG Dru Samia inactive for Week 13.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 13's contest on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Thielen did not travel with the team to Seattle after practicing in a limited capacity throughout the week and he will now be targeting a return in Week 14 against the Detroit Lions. If you were banking on starting Thielen on Monday night, fire up your backup plans as there's plenty of time to get other streaming options in your lineup. Stefon Diggs, Dalvin Cook, Olabisi Johnson, and Kyle Rudolph figure to see a slightly increased target-share on Monday night as a result of Thielen's absence.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Week 13 game.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen appeared to have a chance to play this week but will miss another week because of the hamstring injury. Olabisi Johnson should continue to have a decent role in the passing game but can be avoided in most leagues.
Minnesota Vikings LB Ben Gedeon (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks. DT Linval Joseph (knee), S Harrison Smith (hamstring), WR Adam Thielen (hamstring), S Anthony Harris (groin) and DT Shamar Stephen (knee) are considered questionable.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) on Saturday, Nov. 30, was listed as questionable for the team's Week 13 game Monday, Dec. 2, against the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen, who hasn't played a full game since Week 6, has been limited in practice this week following the team's Week 12 bye. The general feeling is he likely will get the green light to play, but the problem is the Vikes don't play until Monday night, and fantasy GMs might have to make a lineup call ahead of time. Just be sure you have another wide receiver or flex option available to plug in Monday should Thielen land on the inactive list.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis all week but is 50-50 to play in Week 13 against the Seahawks on Monday night. Thielen is much closer to playing this week after the Week 12 bye, but there's still a chance that Minnesota plays it safe if he's not 100 percent ready to go. With the game being on Monday night, it becomes a big risk for fantasy owners. Olabisi Johnson would be a plug-and-play option if you take the decision down to the wire. Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph should both continue to be heavily involved in the passing game if Thielen misses another contest.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) indicated he does not believe his status for Week 13 will be a game-day decision, according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, and that the team will decide based on how Thielen is feeling Saturday, Nov. 30.
Fantasy Spin: While Thielen owners want the wideout back in their lineup, an early ruling on his status is a worthy consolation prize as that'll provide enough time to make alternate arrangements if it's decided Thielen isn't ready to return.
Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 29.
Fantasy Spin: Thielen appears to have a chance to play this week, but fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation over the next few days. He should be a starting option in all leagues if he is active for the game.
