New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas tweeted congratulations Saturday, March 9 to Oakland Raiders WR Antonio Brown regarding his new extension which equates to $19.8M per season, and now awaits a new deal of his own, which in the estimation of veteran reporter, could fetch at least $20 million per year.

Fantasy Spin: Thomas led the league in receptions with 125 -- hauling in an unheard-of 85 percent of his targets -- to finish as fantasy's fourth-ranked PPR wideout and having just turned 26 with his rookie deal set to expire after the 2019 season, he's up for big-$$$ extension at just the right time.

Jan 30 1:43am ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas is eligible for a contract extension and could be in line for money in the 'Odell Beckham neighborhood,' according to MMQB's Albert Breer. Thomas is set to earn $1.148 million in 2019 before becoming a free agent in 2020.

Fantasy Spin: This appears to be purely speculation by Breer at this point, but given what Thomas has done it's not an unreasonable idea. Breer also points out that the Saints have been hesitant to pay skill players big-time money. It's unlikely to matter much for 2019, but it's at least a piece of info to file away for those in keeper leagues.

Jan 21 12:20am ET

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas caught four passes for only 36 yards in the Saints 26-23 overtime loss to the Rams in the NFC Championship Game. Thomas was targeted seven times but disappointed for a player that caught 125 passes in the regular season. The Saints offense revolved mostly around teammate Alvin Kamara and Thomas was a non-factor. Despite the disappointing end to his season, Thomas will remain a top choice among wide receivers in fantasy heading into next season.

Jan 20 8:13pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas registered just four receptions for 36 yards on seven receptions in the NFC Championship Game loss against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Spin: Thomas tore up the Rams in the regular season matchup, but the Rams did a good job of taking him out of the game and forcing others to beat them. He'll be back and better than ever in 2019, and proved you 'Can't cover Mike' more often than not. Thomas is a bona fide WR1 in all fantasy formats heading into next season.

Jan 20 12:43pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas caught 86 percent of his targets this season. That was the highest single-season percentage in NFL history from one player to another (minimum: 100 completions).

Fantasy Spin: Thomas "only" caught 75 percent of his targets (12 of 16) in last Sunday's divisional-round win over the Eagles, but they went for 171 yards and a TD in the 20-14 win. In the Week 9 meeting with the Los Angeles Rams, Thomas reeled in 12-of-15 targets for a career-high 211 yards and a TD, and even though Rams CB Aqib Talib will play in this meeting, still expect Thomas to get his fair share of receptions as usual.

Jan 15 5:23pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas is just the fourth player since 1970 to achieve multiple playoff games with at least 130 receiving yards.

Fantasy Spin: Thomas led his position in catches in the regular season (125) and has kept it going in the playoffs. Drew Brees may not play much longer, but Thomas will be a WR1 candidate no matter who his quarterback is.

Jan 15 4:40pm ET

Saints' WR Michael Thomas scored an impressive 35.10 fantasy points in Sunday's playoff win against the Eagles. Thomas caught 12 passes for 171 yards with one touchdown. Thomas scored at least 25 fantasy points five times during the regular season.

Jan 14 2:00pm ET

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas caught 12 passes for 171 yards, including a go-ahead touchdown, in the Saints 20-14 playoff win over the Eagles. The Saints amassed 301 passing yards and Thomas registered over half the team's amount in a big-time performance. The Pro Bowl receiver caught 125 passes this season and once again was a tough player to cover as the Saints are now only one win away from the Super Bowl. Thomas will be the top ranked WR in fantasy among the final four teams heading into next week's Championship weekend.

Jan 14 1:50pm ET

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 28 of 38 passes for 301 yards, two touchdowns and one interceptions in the Saints 20-14 playoff win over the Eagles. Brees overcame an interception on the first offensive play in the game to lead the Saints to being one win away from the Super Bowl. The key moment was an 18-play scoring drive in the third quarter that culminated in a 2-yard touchdown pass to receiver Michael Thomas to give the Saints the lead for good. Brees will be a top fantasy option once again next week as the Saints will host the Rams in the NFC Championship Game.

Jan 13 8:30pm ET

New Orleans' WR Michael Thomas had 12 receptions for 171 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win against the Eagles.

Jan 13 8:13pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas caught 12 of his 16 targets for 171 yards and a touchdown in a 20-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round Sunday, Jan. 13.

Fantasy Spin: The Saints fell behind early, and Brees quickly turned to his favorite target early and often. With a potentially high-scoring matchup on tap with the Rams in the conference title game next weekend, Thomas could be a busy man once again. Don't hesitate to use him in all playoff contests.

Jan 9 2:20pm ET

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has a dynamite matchup this weekend in the playoffs against the Eagles. Thomas has enjoyed a superb season, racking up 125 receptions for 1,405 yards and nine touchdowns. Thomas and the Saints offense will go up against an Eagles secondary that allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing receivers during the regular season. They have allowed 14-plus fantasy points to 11 different receivers this season, including 10 receptions, 142 yards and one touchdown to the Bears Allen Robinson last week. Thomas could lead all receivers in fantasy points for the division round of the playoffs this week.

Dec 30 7:13pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas posted a team-high five receptions for 29 yards on seven targets in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Spin: Thomas probably played a little more than Saints fans would like, risking injury in a meaningless game. He'll be one of the top fantasy targets for those playing in postseason leagues.

Dec 30 12:00pm ET

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and running back Alvin Kamara are both inactive for Week 17 against the Panthers. The Saints have already locked up home-field advantage and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, so it doesn't make sense for their studs to play in a meaningless game. Don't expect Michael Thomas or Mark Ingram to play much either, if at all. Wide receiver Ted Ginn is also inactive. Rookie wideouts Tre'Quan Smith and Keith Kirkwood should see plenty of playing time in the passing game, while Dwayne Washington could see a significant role in the backfield behind quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill.

Dec 25 4:25pm ET

New Orleans' WR Michael Thomas scored 27.90 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 16 win against the Steelers. Thomas caught 11 passes for 109 yards with one touchdown. It's the 5th time this season Thomas scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Dec 24 3:13pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas needs 24 receiving yards in Week 17 to surpass former WR Joe Horn for the franchise's single-season record of 1,399 yards. Horn set the mark in 2004.

Fantasy Spin: Thomas has been consistently productive this year, balling out for 120 catches for 1,376 yards and nine touchdowns through 15 games. He has caught an absurd 86% of his 140 targets - a testament to his hands and Drew Brees' accuracy. Select him in the second round of 2019 fantasy drafts.

Dec 23 11:23pm ET

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas posted 11 catches for a team-high 109 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Spin: Thomas had his first 100-yard game since Nov. 4 in that shootout against the Rams, and he visited the end zone for the first time in five games. His fantasy owners certainly are thankful, since most championships were decided this week. In Week 17 he is likely to be limited or out since the Saints wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the NFC on Sunday.

Dec 23 8:30pm ET

Saints' WR Michael Thomas had 11 receptions for 109 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win against the Steelers.

Dec 23 8:10pm ET

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 27 of 39 passes for 326 yards and a game-winning touchdown pass in the Saints 31-28 win over the Steelers. Brees got off to a rough start fantasy wise but rebounded with an excellent second half. An ill-devised fake punt by the Steelers set up Brees to drive down the field and hit receiver Michael Thomas for a 1-yard touchdown catch in the closing minutes to take the lead. Brees didn't light up the fantasy scoreboard but certainly played better than his previous three games. With the Saints cruising towards the playoffs, the team could decide to sit Brees in Week 17 against the Panthers.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 8:10pm ET

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas caught 11 passes for 109 yards, none more important than his 1-yard touchdown catch to seal the win for the Saints 3128 against the Steelers. Thomas was all over the field making plays throughout the game as it took some time for the Saints offense to heat up. Thomas now has 29 receptions over his last three games but fantasy owners may want to stay away from the Saints offense in Week 17. With a first-round bye locked up, the team could sit some key players in Week 17 against the Panthers.
