Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was not the MVP type of QB that fantasy owners are used to watching. He completed 19 of 32 passing attempts for 182 yards and one touchdown with one interception. It was a career-low in passing yards for Mahomes in the Week 11 win over the Chargers. Mahomes ran five times for 59 yards on the ground. Losing Tyreek Hill (hamstring) in the first drive of the game didn't help at all. The Chiefs head into a bye week, but fantasy owners shouldn't be worried about Mahomes' performance going forward. It was a shaky game for Mahomes, but he'll bounce back fine against the Raiders in Week 13.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 19-of-32 passes for 182 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers in Mexico City on Monday, Nov. 18. He also rushed for 59 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes was missing Tyreek Hill, who left the game early, and the run game saw LeSean McCoy and Damien Williams also leave early, and Austin Reiter, the starting center exited, too. The Chiefs get a rest next week with a bye.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes has thrown 18 touchdowns and one interception in eight games this season and continues to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 15.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes played well in his return to the lineup last week and continues to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes returned last week from an injury and threw for 446 yards and three touchdowns. The injury clearly isn't lingering on Mahomes and he's back to being an elite fantasy option. They head into a matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday. Mahomes should have no problems getting what he's projected and then some for Week 11.
Kansas City Chiefs TE Blake Bell (ankle), DE Emmanuel Ogbah (pectoral), DE Alex Okafor (ankle) and RB Damien Williams (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 15. OT Mitchell Schwartz (knee) was limited. WR Sammy Watkins (groin), DE Frank Clark (neck), OG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle), OT Cameron Erving (ankle), OT Eric Fisher (groin), CB Kendall Fuller (thumb), DT Chris Jones (groin), QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) and DT Derrick Nnadi (elbow) practiced in full.
Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher (groin) put in a full practice on Thursday, which was his first full practice since undergoing surgery on a sports hernia in mid-September. He's on track to return for Monday night's divisional showdown against the Chargers in Mexico City. The team's starting left tackle has been out since Week 2, so his return will be a big boost for the offensive line and the protection of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. That will be notable against a Chargers team with a pretty good pass rush.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 14.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes returned to the lineup last week and threw for at least three touchdowns for the fifth time this season. He is a must-start option in all leagues no matter the opponent.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) completed 36 of his 50 passes for 446 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-32 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 10.
Fantasy Spin: The Chiefs didn't pick up the win, but Mahomes left no doubt that he will continue to put up elite fantasy numbers despite a knee injury that cost him a couple of games.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes returned in Week 10 after missing two games and didn't miss a beat. Mahomes completed 36 of 50 passing attempts for 446 yards and three touchdowns without an interception in the loss to the Titans. He scored on the first offensive drive of the game and later hit Mecole Hardman for a 63-yard touchdown. Mahomes doesn't look bothered at all from his dislocated kneecap that forced him to miss the two games prior to this. Sadly, the Chiefs weren't able to secure the win, but Mahomes will be an elite QB1 for next week against the Chargers.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) has missed the last two games, but will be back on the field for Week 10 against the Titans. Mahomes has thrown for 2,180 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and one interception this season. He's been a fantastic fantasy quarterback and that should continue against Tennessee. Fantasy owners can go ahead and plug Mahomes in as an elite QB1 for Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes will return to the lineup after a two-game absence but should receive his normal workload this week. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) said Friday, Nov. 8, he is comfortable in returning to action in Week 10 and believes he can do what he needs to. 'I'm in a great spot,' Mahomes said. Earlier, Chiefs coach Andy Reid declared Mahomes the starter 'unless something happens' between now and kickoff Sunday in Tennessee.
Fantasy Spin: There's always a re-injury risk for a player just returning, but you have to trust that Reid and the Chiefs' medical staff believe it's minimal in bringing back such a valuable commodity this quickly. Unless you also have Lamar Jackson, don't hesitate in starting Mahomes.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) will return as the team's starter Sunday, Nov. 10, against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Spin: As was becoming clear, Mahomes is ahead of his timetable and his knee injury caused him to miss only two starts. He slots right back in as an elite QB1 and his return also elevates the rest of the K.C. offense, especially those further down the pecking order such as WRs Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) remained a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.
Fantasy Spin: While Mahomes hasn't been officially named the starter for the Week 10 game against the Tennessee Titans, keeping him on the bench at this point would seem extra cautionary. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but his return would certainly be welcomed by fantasy managers.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Moore continues to split first-team reps with QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) in practice, and he could start in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans if Mahomes is deemed not ready.
Fantasy Spin: Moore didn't do much in a win against the Denver Broncos, he fell to the Green Bay Packers but had a solid statistical day, and he threw for 275 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. He is more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues if he makes another start.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) will continue to split first-team reps with QB Matt Moore in practice this week, and it's possible he could return in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans. 'It's going to be day to day,' head coach Andy Reid said Wednesday, Nov. 6. 'He didn't take a ton of reps last week. We'll try to increase him a little bit and see how it works out.'
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes might be practicing this week, but the Chiefs are taking it slowly with him and it is anything but a certainty that he'll be the starter against the Titans. Fantasy owners might want to keep him reserved until he can officially return and play a full game without any setbacks.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday. Mahomes has been out since dislocating his kneecap on Oct. 17 against the Broncos, but he's fully expected to make his return in Week 10 against the Titans, barring a setback this week. The 24-year-old 2018 MVP is a must-start at the QB position anytime he's active, and his presence under center will be a big boost to the likes of Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy. Matt Moore, who performed admirably in two games without Mahomes, will head back to the bench.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes appears to be on track to play this week, but fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if he suffers any setbacks. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues if he plays.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) doesn't have a date set for his potential return, according to head coach Andy Reid Monday, Nov. 4. Reid added Mahomes looked better in practice last week.
Fantasy Spin: The Chiefs have billed Mahomes as having a possibility of returning each of the last two weeks before ultimately ruling him out and naming Matt Moore as starter. They pulled off a 26-23 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9 and continue to lead the AFC West. Fantasy managers should be fine with the Chiefs taking it slow with Mahomes rather than risking his long-term health.
