Player Notes
Apr 12 12:33pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson posted a league-best 88.2 passer rating when under pressure in the 2018 season.

Fantasy Spin: Watson lived up to the sophomore fantasy hype, throwing for 4,165 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 551 yards and five scores to finish fourth among fantasy QBs. He'll be one of the top five QBs to come off the board again this summer.

Feb 24 12:13am ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson became the first quarterback in NFL history with 4,000-plus passing yards (4,165), 25-plus touchdown passes (26), 500-plus rushing yards (551) and five rushing touchdowns (five) in a single season in 2018.

Fantasy Spin: Watson didn't disappoint in his first full season, and he is a safe bet for QB1 production for the foreseeable future.

Jan 5 7:53pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson completed 29 of 49 passes for 235 yards, throwing one touchdown and one interception in a wild-card playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts Saturday, Jan. 5. He added 76 yards on the ground.

Fantasy Spin: Watson was pressured frequently, as is customary behind a poor offensive line. He still managed a respectable yardage total, but had some errant throws every now and then. Watson's running ability and talented receiving corps put him comfortably in QB1 territory heading into 2019.

Dec 31 2:23pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 4,000 yards and pass for 25 touchdowns while also running for at least 500 yards and five touchdowns in a single season.

Dec 31 12:50pm ET

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson failed to pass for a touchdown for the first time all season in Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he did score once as a runner. Watson passed for 234 yards while completing 25 of his 35 passing attempts. He added 66 yards on 13 carries as the Texans asked the second-year passer to make use of his legs more than usual in the team's tune-up for the playoffs. Houston hosts the Colts to open the postseason. Watson has had some success against Indianapolis this year, passing for his second-most yards in a game against them in Week 4, though he wasn't as strong in the second game between the teams as the Colts defense has improved over the course of the year.

Dec 30 5:53pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson went 25-for-35 for 234 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. He also rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Watson has been playing well over the last several weeks and has seven total touchdowns over the last three weeks. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in playoff fantasy leagues.

Dec 25 10:13pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson is four sacks away from becoming the first quarterback since Jon Kitna with the Detroit Lions in 2006 to take 60 in a season.

Dec 25 1:00pm ET

Texans' QB Deshaun Watson scored an impressive 40.85 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 16 loss in Philadelphia. Watson threw for 339 yards on 29-of-40 with two touchdowns. It's the 8th time this season Watson scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Dec 24 10:50am ET

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 339 yards and two touchdowns on 29-for-40 passing in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Watson also added two rushing touchdowns, with his eight carries going for 49 yards. It was Watson's best game of the season from a fantasy perspective, and the second-year passer broke the 300-yard mark for the first time since Week 5. Houston ends their season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose defense has faltered at times this year but still presents a difficult test for Watson. Expect numbers closer to what he's been putting up on average, not a huge, explosive game like we saw in Week 16.

Dec 23 4:33pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson completed 29-of-40 passes for 339 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles and he rushed for 49 yards and two scores.

Fantasy Spin: Watson stepped up and had a big day despite the fact the team was missing starting tailback Lamar Miller and wideout Demaryius Thomas left with what might be a torn Achilles'. The Texans wrap up the regular season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17, and Watson will be there with plenty to play for.

Dec 23 4:30pm ET

Texans' QB Deshaun Watson passed for 339 yards on 29-of-40 with two touchdowns in Sunday's loss in Philadelphia.

Dec 17 4:30pm ET

Texans' QB Deshaun Watson scored 25.30 fantasy points in Saturday's Week 15 win in New York Jets. Watson threw for 294 yards on 22-of-28 with two touchdowns.

Dec 15 10:40pm ET

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns in Houston's Week 15 victory over the New York Jets. He was 22-for-28 throwing the football and also added 26 rushing yards on four carries. Watson was sacked six times. It was an uneven game for Houston, but Watson was efficient and put up solid fantasy numbers. Houston faces the Eagles in Week 16, who currently allow the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Watson should be a strong start for fantasy owners in a week where the majority of fantasy leagues are playing for a title.

Dec 15 8:03pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson completed 22 of 28 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns in a win versus the New York Jets Saturday, Dec. 15. He added 26 rushing yards.

Fantasy Spin: Watson managed quite a respectable stat line despite being sacked six times. He's one of the toughest quarterbacks in the league and, with the aid of his running ability, has QB1 potential throughout his career as long as he's healthy.

Dec 13 3:13pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Fantasy Spin: Watson has top five fantasy quarterback upside in Week 15 against an underachieving New York Jets defense. What makes Watson more attractive is that the Jets have surrendered the fourth most rushing yards to quarterbacks this year.

Dec 12 7:13pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Watson is coming off a solid Week 14 performance but has been held to one touchdown in three of the last four games. He should have some success against the New York Jets and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback.

Dec 11 7:03pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was a full practice participant Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Spin: Watson has been bruised and battered for the entirety of his sophomore campaign but he'll be good to go in a favorable matchup with the New York Jets. He's a QB1 for those still in the fantasy postseason.

Dec 9 9:50pm ET

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson didn't light the world on fire in Week 14's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, throwing for one touchdown and 267 yards on 27-for-38 passing. He also added 35 rushing yards on five carries. While it wasn't a bad performance by Watson, he was unable to move the ball as effectively in the red zone as fantasy owners would have liked and is still not reaching the heights he did during his rookie season.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 9:23pm ET

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson completed 27-of-38 passes for 267 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 14 game against the Indianapolis Colts and he posted a game-high 36 rushing yards.

Fantasy Spin: Watson's yardage total was his highest since Oct. 7 when he had 375 yards against the Dallas Cowboys. Despite some average passing totals he remains a legit QB1 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 15 against the Jets on Saturday afternoon.

Dec 8 4:10pm ET

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson hasn't thrown for 300 yards in his last seven games, but he's mostly avoided turnovers during that time frame and has made strong use of his legs at times, making him a good fantasy option against the Colts on Sunday. Another factor: Watson threw for 375 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for one when these teams met in Indianapolis earlier in the year. With this one being at home for the Texans, Watson should have a high-floor and high-ceiling for fantasy owners.
