Floyd played a reserve role for the Redskins last year and had 10 receptions in 13 games. He has 10 receptions each of the past two seasons. Floyd has fewer than 450 yards four straight seasons. Floyd is a former 1,000-yard receiver but his career is trending the wrong way. Floyd has good size and speed at receiver. He runs good routes and does a good job of getting down-field in a hurry. Floyd also has good hands and the knack for the big play. Fantasy Outlook: Floyd is a long shot to improve much on his numbers in recent years. He might get around 15 receptions for 200 yards with a score or two. Go with more dependable options.

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Callahan, WRs Jaylen Smith, Joe Horn Jr. and Michael Floyd, TE Matthew Orzech, LB Silas Stewart, OGs Patrick Vahe and Isaiah Williams and OT Darrell Williams were waived/released Friday, Aug. 30.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Michael Floyd caught three balls for 54 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's preseason game against the Eagles. With a little less than seven minutes to go before the half, rookie quarterback Trace McSorley threw a 28-yard dime to Floyd for the Ravens second touchdown of the game. Floyd is entering his eighth year and fifth team in just three seasons. He is toeing the line for a roster spot against the likes of Seth Roberts, Jaleel Scottand Jaylen Smith. Floyd likely shouldn't be in your fantasy sights this season, but performances in preseason may earn him a spot on the depth chart.
Updating a previous report, the Baltimore Ravens signed WR Michael Floyd (Redskins) to a one-year contract on Friday, May 17. Financial terms were not immediately disclosed.
The Baltimore Ravens are signing free-agent wide receiver Michael Floyd to an undisclosed deal on Friday, according to a source. Baltimore is a good landing spot for Floyd, but there's still no guarantee that he'll make the final roster out of training camp. The 13th overall pick in 2012 by the Cardinals, Floyd has played for four different teams in the last three years and has 20 catches for 178 yards and one score in the last two seasons (24 games) for the Vikings and Redskins. He'll be a long shot to return any fantasy relevance for a run-first squad if he makes the team.
Free-agent WR Michael Floyd (Redskins) agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Baltimore Ravens Friday, May 17. The deal is pending a physical.
