Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) returned to the team in good shape, according to general manager Brian Gaine.

Fantasy Spin: Although the Texans are expected to add a pass-catching back in the draft, Foreman's recovery from his 2017 Achilles injury may be enough to convince Houston to do so on the third day instead of using a premium pick at the position. Although Lamar Miller had a solid year in 2018, a healthy Foreman would be able to push him and possibly forge a committee. At the very least, Foreman should be able to take over goal-line duties. Assuming no setbacks, he should be a solid late-round flier this summer.

Mar 26 1:00am ET

Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman looks to be much leaner than he was in his first two NFL seasons and looked quick and explosive during an impromptu workout on Sunday. Foreman rushed the ball seven times for negative-one yard in his only game in 2018 that was mainly spent rehabbing an Achilles rupture. He adopted a demanding exercise program and a healthier diet this offseason. The 22-year-old is determined to put 2018 behind him and contribute for Houston this season. He rushed for 327 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2017 and could surpass Lamar Miller as the lead back in 2019 if he's fully healthy. Foreman could be an excellent sleeper target in point-per-reception leagues if he proves his health throughout the offseason.

Mar 25 12:43pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) is reportedly 'much leaner' than he was during his first two NFL seasons and is currently 'a few pounds shy' of the 235-pound weight at which he was listed on the roster in 2018.

Feb 26 5:33pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') has worked hard so far this offseason and impressed the Texans with how he's looked after missing all but one game last year.

Fantasy Spin: Foreman appears to be recovered from the troublesome ruptured Achilles' tendon. The Texans didn't want to take their chances last year and essentially let him rest the whole season. Heading into 2019 he'll make a formidable one-two punch with Lamar Miller. Miller will still be the lead back, but Foreman is one of the more talented handcuffs in fantasy football.

Feb 9 5:40pm ET

Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman is expected to have a much bigger role in 2019 with Lamar Miller turning 28 in April and being inconsistent in his time in Houston. Foreman slowly returned from a torn Achilles in 2017, but head coach Bill O'Brien still believes that Foreman has a bright future with the team. "So, hopefully with a good offseason, here's a guy that can really, really be an excellent player in this league. I have a lot of belief in his ability, in D'Onta Foreman's ability," O'Brien said. Foreman will turn 23 in April and has played in just 11 games in his first two seasons, but he has a lot of upside as perhaps the team's lead back in 2019. He'll be worth a late-round flier in fantasy drafts this fall.

Feb 8 11:23pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman still has a bright future with the team, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. 'So, hopefully with a good offseason, here's a guy that can really, really be an excellent player in this league,' O'Brien said.

Fantasy Spin: An Achilles' injury derailed the start of his career, but if he can stay healthy, he should be able to push Lamar Miller for playing team. Foreman remains an intriguing stash candidate in keeper formats and could be a sneaky sleeper in redraft leagues in 2019.

Dec 30 11:33am ET

The Houston Texans have declared WR Keke Coutee, DL Joel Heath, CB Johnathan Joseph, DT Brandon Dunn, LB Josh Keyes, OT Roderick Johnson and RB D'Onta Foreman inactive for Week 17.

Dec 24 10:50am ET

Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman saw the field for the first time this season in Houston's Week 16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. After a torn Achilles ended a promising rookie campaign, there were question marks surrounding when Foreman would see playing time and how effective he would be. On Sunday, he carried the ball seven times, but ended with negative yardage on the day, but salvaged his day somewhat with a touchdown catch. Foreman finished with two receptions for 28 yards. It's unclear if Lamar Miller will return in Week 17, but fantasy owners who were waiting on D'Onta Foreman's debut should be discouraged even if Miller misses a second straight game. Foreman isn't a safe fantasy option.

Dec 23 4:53pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman posted seven runs for minus-1 yard in Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he stepped up with two receptions, 28 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Spin: Foreman and Alfred Blue struggled on the ground in place of the injured Lamar Miller. It was Foreman's first action of the season and he shouldn't be trusted in Week 17 even if he splits the backfield touches again in the regular-season finale.

Dec 17 1:33pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') 'could' see his first action of the season in Week 16 versus the Philadelphia Eagles, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Fantasy Spin: Foreman has been inactive the last two games since being activated from the PUP list earlier this month, but O'Brien's hand could be forced this week given the fact Lamar Miller (ankle) may be limited or unable to go. Alfred Blue is Miller's direct backup at the moment, but he gives the offense virtually nothing more than a big back who is decent near the goal line. All of this makes Foreman a decent add off waivers this week, but it is highly doubtful he will see enough action to be worth starting in fantasy.

Dec 17 1:00pm ET

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said that the team "could" use running back D'Onta Foreman for the first time this year in Week 16 against the Eagles. Foreman was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list several weeks ago but has been inactive the past two games. However, they may need him alongside Alfred Blue after Lamar Miller (ankle) left the Week 15 game early and did not return. Even if Miller doesn't play against Philly, Foreman would be extremely hard to trust in his first live game action in well over a year.

Dec 15 3:13pm ET

The Houston Texans have declared OT Roderick Johnson, WR Keke Coutee, DB Deante Burton, DL Joel Heath, WR Vyncint Smith, DL Carlos Watkins and RB D'Onta Foreman inactive for Week 15.

Dec 13 3:23pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (non-injury related) and LB Benardrick McKinney (non-injury related) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 13. WR Keke Coutee (hamstring), OG Zach Fulton (hand) and S Andre Hal (ankle) were limited and are questionable. OG Senio Kelemete (elbow) was also limited. WR DeAndre Carter (concussion), LB Dylan Cole (wrist, knee), CB Aaron Colvin (ankle), CB Kareem Jackson (knee) CB Johnathan Joseph (neck), C Greg Mancz (knee), LB Brian Peters (ankle), FS Justin Reid (shoulder, wrist), DE J.J. Watt (knee) and CB Shareece Wright (neck) practiced in full.

Dec 9 12:13pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman is inactive for Week 14 on Sunday, Dec. 9 as a healthy scratch.

Dec 8 9:43pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman will likely be inactive against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

Dec 8 3:10pm ET

The Houston Chronicle's John McClain thinks that Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman (Achilles), who was just activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list this week, will be inactive in Week 14 against the Colts. Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue have been averaging 172 rushing yards over the last six games. Foreman will basically be insurance with four games remaining in the regular season. He could get some work down the stretch, but it'll likely be minimal unless Miller or Blue are hurt. Foreman doesn't really need to be stashed in redraft leagues.

From RotoBaller

Dec 7 6:33pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Fantasy Spin: Foreman likely would only receive a few touches if he plays this week and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Dec 6 6:33pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

Fantasy Spin: Foreman probably will be eased into the offense this week and will only see a handful of touches. He should be avoided this week, but he could be an option later.

Dec 5 6:33pm ET

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Foreman appears to be on track to play in Week 14 but probably will see limited touches since he has not played this season. Owners should avoid him this week, but he could be a valuable option later in the season.

Dec 4 6:10pm ET

The Houston Texans activated running back D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday, according to a source. He is no eligible to begin playing in games as soon as Week 14 against the Colts. Foreman hasn't played in a regular season game in well over a year and is unlikely to be a big part of this offense down the stretch with Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue a totally acceptable one-two punch in Houston's backfield.
