Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continues to struggle at the helm of the Dolphins' offense, but he'll continue to start this week in a home game against the Bills. Last week, he threw for 261 passing yards and one interception on Thursday Night Football against the Ravens. He didn't throw any touchdowns, and he has one or zero scores in three of the last four weeks, with the one exception being his strong showing against the Falcons. He's averaging only 6.6 yards per attempt and 197.7 yards per game, and the Bills have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. He had 146 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception against the Bills in Week 3. His recent struggles without Tyreek Hill drop him all the way down to QB24 this week, meaning he should barely be starting in two-QB leagues even with bye weeks.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa could be benched "at some point" this season. While Rapoport added that his "play would have to really fall off" for that to happen, a possible demotion is "not off the table." The 27-year-old has thrown for 1,779 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions during the 2025 campaign. Although Tagovailoa has had at least a few decent fantasy showings this season, he has struggled on several occasions. For now, the signal-caller will remain under center. However, it appears he's on a short leash, so he'll need to play well in upcoming meetings with the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders. If not, Zach Wilson or Quinn Ewers may claim the top spot on the depth chart.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa should only be considered in Superflex formats when his team plays host to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. During the past two weeks, the former Alabama star was benched in a blowout loss, then promptly went 20-for-26 with four touchdown passes in a blowout win last week. The Ravens rank a lowly 25th against fantasy quarterbacks, but looked improved last week with middle linebacker Roquan Smith back in the lineup. The Dolphins are missing No. 1 receiver Tyreek Hill (knee) and No. 1 tight end Darren Waller (pectoral), but even with a full lineup, Miami has been maybe the most volatile team in the league. Tagovailoa has some appeal in a strong matchup, but there is ultimately risk with starting an up-and-down quarterback on a short week.

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 20-of-26 passes for 205 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in a blowout win against Atlanta. Dynasty Analysis: You have to give it to Tua here as he entered the week on the hot seat and exited with people remembering just how good he really can be. While his 15:10 touchdown-to-interception ratio is hardly something to write home about, this was a step in the right direction. His ADP nose dive will take a break this week as we await to see if he can build on this.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa experienced his worst performance of his career last week. However, Tagovailoa turned it around during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. He completed 20-of-26 passing attempts for 205 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions in the victory. This was a fantastic bounce back performance for both the Dolphins and for Tagovailoa. It was his first four-score game since Week 12 of last season. He'll look to keep the good times rolling against the Baltimore Ravens next week.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (illness) has been added to the injury report ahead of today's game against the Atlanta Falcons. However, he does not carry an injury designation and will play. Tagovailoa is looking to bounce back from an ugly loss to the Cleveland Browns in which he threw three interceptions and was benched for Quinn Ewers. Unfortunately for the signal caller, the Falcons have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year, even fewer than the Browns. Atlanta's six interceptions and seven passing touchdowns allowed do not bode well for Tagovailoa as he fights for his job in Week 8. He can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.
From RotoBaller
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the No. 26 QB in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 8, which isn't a good thing when there are only 26 teams playing this week. It has been a rough season for the Dolphins and Tagovailoa all year, but it reached new depths last week in a 31-6 loss to the lowly Browns. Tua completed only 12 of his 23 passes for 100 yards and no touchdowns while throwing three interceptions last week. He was replaced by rookie Quinn Ewers, but Tua will be back on the field to start this week against the Falcons. He is averaging 187.6 passing yards per game and has 10 interceptions to go with his 11 touchdowns. On top of all his struggles, he's in a brutal matchup against the Falcons, who have allowed the second-fewest yards per attempt and the fewest passing yards per game this season. If you have anyone else who is playing this week, they're probably a better option than Tagovailoa at this point, especially since he may not finish the game or have his job by the end of Week 8.

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will start the team's next game. Dynasty Analysis: The fact this had to be announced tells you just about everything you need to know about the state of the franchise. Tua was awful this week, throwing for just 100 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions in a blowout loss to the Browns. The ship is sinking here quickly with both Tua and coach Mike McDaniel on the hot seat. The concern with Tua has always been his health but it's now clearly being combined with poor play on the field. However, the Dolphins are stuck. They want to get the ball out of his hands quickly to keep him healthy but his game is much better throwing deep. Tua's dynasty value is decreasing and could be headed for a major freefall.
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that Tua Tagovailoa remains his starting quarterback despite a disastrous performance in the Week 7 blowout loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. McDaniel and Tagovailoa are keeping their jobs for another week, but if things don't get turned around soon, they could both be out of jobs in the near future. The 27-year-old was benched in the fourth quarter of the 31-6 loss to the Browns after throwing for 130 yards, no touchdowns, and three interceptions. Miami is currently 1-6 as they head into a Week 8 contest on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. Tua has been bad in his seven starts, and things aren't going to get any easier with receiver Tyreek Hill (knee) out for the year and tight end Darren Waller (pectoral) now week-to-week. Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,313 yards on 205 pass attempts for 11 touchdowns and a league-high 10 picks in seven games. He won't be a desirable QB2 in superflex leagues in Week 8.

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 12-of-23 passes for 100 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions in a blowout loss to the Browns. Dynasty Analysis: The Dolphins are 1-6, they've lost Tyreek Hill for the year, Jaylen Waddle wasn't used (one catch for 15 yards) and Tua himself made critical mistakes all day. Other than that, things are great. Tagovailoa has been a quarterback who has been very effective when healthy with the only real concerns about him being his history of concussions. After the start of this season, you can add real ineffectiveness to the list this year as he simply hasn't played well. His dynasty value is sinking and he's really only an option in deep Superflex leagues at the moment.
