The Dallas Cowboys signed free-agent wide receiver Randall Cobb to a one-year, $5 million deal on Tuesday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He's likely to replace Cole Beasley as the team's slot receiver alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. Cobb was a second-round pick of the Packers in 2011 and spent his first eight years in Green Bay. He had a career-high 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014, but the 28-year-old missed seven games in 2018 with hamstring and concussion issues. Cobb's fantasy stock will be way down, especially going from quarterback Aaron Rodgers to Dallas signal-caller Dak Prescott.

Mar 19 5:53pm ET

Free-agent WR Randall Cobb (Packers) signed a one-year, $5 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday, March 19.

Fantasy Spin: Cobb is aging and has dealt with more than his fair share of injuries throughout his career, but this is a good get for the Cowboys. Cobb immediately replaces Cole Beasley in the slot and gives Dak Prescott another trusted safety valve. His best years may be behind him, but drafting Cobb as a PPR WR3 won't be frowned at.

Mar 18 10:13am ET

Free-agent WR Randall Cobb (Packers) is visiting the Dallas Cowboys Monday, March 18.

Fantasy Spin: It's pretty clear what Cobb is at this point, and it's not the 12-touchdown breakout campaign he had in 2014. He has done very little since then and is oft-injured. However, he can still be a factor in fantasy as a WR5.

Mar 7 10:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Randall Cobb was pursued by the New England Patriots last season, according to Jay Glazer of The Athletic.

Fantasy Spin: With his ability to work out of the slot and make plays after the catch, Cobb does seem to fit the mold of a New England wide receiver. However, he has dealt with injuries in recent years, and even if he lands in New England, he'd only be a late-round lottery ticket.

Feb 25 2:53pm ET

Impending free-agent WR Randall Cobb is not expected to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network's Michael Silver.

Feb 9 2:23am ET

The New Orleans Saints could try to sign a free-agent wide receiver to play the slot next season, in the opinion of ESPN's Mike Triplett, who names Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley, Philadelphia Eagles WR Golden Tate and Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Adam Humphries as possible targets in free agency.

Fantasy Spin: Of that group, Humphries might be the most interesting as both Tate and Beasley have reached their 30s and Cobb has taken a pounding over his eight NFL campaigns. Still, anyone signed into the New Orleans passing game would warrant your attention.

Feb 7 2:03am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb should not be re-signed, in the opinion of the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty, who believes Cobb's size and injury history are reasons the team should move on.

Fantasy Spin: Cobb is coming off a disappointing, injury-filled season, and the team showed last year with Jordy Nelson that they aren't afraid to move on from a receiver no matter what his relationship is with Aaron Rodgers. Despite his recent struggles, Cobb is sure to have a market and could be worth a late-round roll of the dice in the right situation.

Dec 30 6:03pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb posted just one catch for 27 yards on five targets in Week 17 against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Spin: Cobb ended up with just 38 catches, 383 yards and two touchdowns over his nine outings, his lowest yardage total since his rookie year of 2011. His fantasy outlook is rather muddled heading into 2019.

Dec 28 5:53pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 28, and is not on the injury report for Week 17. The Packers did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Cobb likely will be active for the game if he is cleared by the doctors. He has had a disappointing 2018 season and probably should only be considered a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

Dec 28 5:10pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol and was taken off the final injury report on Friday for Week 17 against the Lions. Cobb missed last week's game but will return to his slot duties in the regular season finale. Still, he's a low-ceiling WR4/flex option who hasn't done anything since his good showing in the season opener against Chicago.

From RotoBaller

Dec 28 4:43pm ET

Green Bay Packers OT Jason Spriggs (concussion) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 28, and are listed as doubtful versus the Detroit Lions. WR Davante Adams (knee), CB Jaire Alexander (groin) and S Kentrell Brice (ankle, non-injury) also missed practice Friday but are listed as questionable. OG Lucas Patrick (abdomen) was a limited participant in practice Friday and is listed as questionable. OT David Bakhtiari (hip), DL Fadol Brown (toe) and OG Lane Taylor (knee) fully participated in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), WR Randall Cobb (concussion), TE Jimmy Graham (knee, thumb), WR Jake Kumerow (hand), LB Clay Matthews and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, groin) were full participants at practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. All designations are estimations because the Packers did not practice Friday.

Dec 27 6:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 27, getting in a limited session.

Fantasy Spin: After having to miss practice Wednesday, this puts Cobb in good shape of being able to play in the season finale. He'll be a solid WR3 with potential for more if teammate Davante Adams (knee) can't suit up against Detroit.

Dec 27 1:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (concussion) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. It's a good sign for Cobb after he sat out in Week 16. If he plays in the Week 17 finale against the Lions, he could be a sneaky DFS dart throw if one or both of Davante Adams (knee) and/or Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) don't play.

From RotoBaller

Dec 26 5:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (knee), CB Jaire Alexander (groin), OT David Bakhtiari (hip), WR Randall Cobb (concussion), TE Jimmy Graham (knee, thumb), LB Clay Matthews (back), OT Jason Spriggs (concussion) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 26. S Kentrell Brice (ankle), OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), OG Lucas Patrick (abdomen) and OG Lane Taylor (knee) were limited in practice, while WR Jake Kumerow (hand) and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, groin) practiced in full.

Dec 26 5:13pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Cobb is a question mark for the regular-season finale, and he might not be rushed to play with the team eliminated from the playoff race. He is a risky fantasy option in Week 17.

Dec 23 11:53am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (concussion) will not play in Week 16's game against the New York Jets.

Dec 23 11:33am ET

The Green Bay Packers have declared WR Randall Cobb, WR Allen Lazard, OT Jason Spriggs, QB Tim Boyle, LB Kendall Donnerson, DL Kenny Clark and OG Nico Siragusa inactive for Week 16.

Dec 23 11:20am ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (concussion) is officially out for Week 16 against the Jets. Cobb was doubtful to begin with, so nobody should've been planning to use him in fantasy lineups. Other than a big game in the season opener, Cobb was a disappointment in 2018 and is unlikely to play in a meaningless Week 17 next week. Rookies Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will see more looks with Cobb inactive. St. Brown is the more attractive flex consideration in deeper leagues behind Davante Adams.

From RotoBaller

Dec 21 6:40pm ET

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (concussion) didn't practice all week and is doubtful to play in Week 16 against the Jets. Cobb really hasn't done anything for fantasy owners since the season opener, so he's likely on waiver wires anyway. Rookies Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling should be behind Davante Adams this weekend. St. Brown has seen more run over MVS in recent weeks and is the better target as a WR4/5. Adams is really the only Green Bay receiver you can trust, however.

From RotoBaller

Dec 21 5:53pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (concussion) did not practice Friday, Dec. 21 and he is listed as doubtful for Week 16 against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Spin: Don't bank on Cobb being active with the Packers out of the playoff hunt, as there is no real reason for him to risk playing and perhaps suffering a setback.
