2024 RTSports Outlook

Nacua had one of the best rookie receiver seasons of a time, which was a surprise considering he was a fifth-round pick. Nacua was fourth overall in fantasy receiver scoring, winning a lot of fantasy leagues because he was undrafted in a lot of formats. That won't be the case this coming year. He will be one of the first receivers off the board. Nacua had 105 receptions for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns. He had double-digit fantasy points all but four games. He had seven games with 20-plus fantasy points, putting up some huge weekly point totals. Nacua moved ahead of Cooper Kupp when it comes to looks in the Rams offense. He is the top target now. The only negative for Nacua last year was drops. Nacua got a ton of targets (160) but did led the league in drops with 13. He will need to get better in that area if he hopes to be considered one of the best receivers in football. Nacua is already one of the top possession receivers in the game that just has a knack for getting open. He is a very good athlete. He lacks a little speed, but that didn't hold him back at all last year. He still made plenty of big plays and averaged an impressive 14.2 yards per reception.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Nacua won't be overlooked this year. He is a top-10 fantasy receiver, capable of huge things in this offense. He will get a ton of weekly targets, making him a great No. 1 for fantasy teams. Look for similar numbers to last year, getting around 110 catches for 1,500 yards and eight touchdowns. It was not a fluke last season for Nacua.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Puka Nacua was one of the biggest steals in fantasy football last season. With Cooper Kupp sidelined for the first four weeks of the season, the BYU rookie saw 52 targets in his first four NFL games. In Week 2, he caught 15 balls for 147 yards on 20 targets. Despite scoring just one touchdown in those games, he was WR4 on a per-game basis through Week 4 with 23.9 PPR fantasy points per game. Playing with Kupp from Week 5 on, Nacua was the WR12. He still saw 8.5 targets per game and hit the 100-yard mark in four games of 13 games playing alongside Kupp. When you look at Nacau and Kupp's yards per route run (YPRR) last season, Nacua was 6th among wide receivers with a 2.72 YPRR while Kupp was 32nd among wide receivers with a 1.99 YPRR. This is significant because Kupp was 1st in that metric in 2021 (3.33) and 7th in 2022 (2.61). At 30+ years old, it appears Kupp has handed the torch off to the much younger Nacua. That hand-off should only continue in 2024. Consider Nacua a top-10 wide receiver with top-5 upside with some expected positive touchdown regression after scoring just six on 160 targets as a rookie.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is coming off arguably the greatest rookie season ever for a wideout. He posted 105 receptions for 1,468 yards and six touchdowns, and he set a rookie record for receiving yards in a postseason game (181). It's difficult to project a better season of production in Year 2, but Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur said he has improved this offseason. "You can definitely see he's made strides. He's moving better. I know he feels more comfortable," LaFleur said. "He's in year two and that's what you expect from all the players, but you know that you're going to get it from Puka because he's just made of the right stuff." Nacua is being drafted as a mid-to-late first-round pick in PPR leagues, and if Cooper Kupp takes another step back, he could compete for an overall WR1 finish in fantasy football. Los Angeles did not add legitimate target competition in free agency or the 2024 NFL Draft.

Los Angeles Rams' WR Puka Nacua scored an impressive 33.10 fantasy points in Sunday's playoff loss in Detroit. Nacua caught nine passes for 181 yards with one touchdown. Nacua scored at least 25 fantasy points four times during the regular season.

Jan 15 4:50am ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua dominated in the team's 24-23 wildcard loss to the Detroit Lions. Nacua caught nine of his 10 targets for 181 receiving yards and a 50-yard first-half touchdown. He also rushed the ball once for a loss of two yards. The 5th-round rookie set yet another record as he finished with the most receiving by a rookie WR in a playoff game. Despite his season coming to an end, Nacua continued to prove himself as one of the most dangerous receivers in all of football. Heading into next season, fantasy players should consider him in the first three rounds of drafts and ahead of Cooper Kupp.

Jan 14 5:00am ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua had one of the most dominant rookie seasons we have seen from a wide receiver. The 5th-round draft pick broke a pair of records as he ended with the most receptions and receiving yards by a rookie in a single season. He finished as a top-five fantasy receiver and won many their fantasy leagues. Nacua will now face the Detroit Lions on Sunday, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Play him confidently in all DFS lineups as he has the potential to torch the Lions' defense.

Jan 8 1:10am ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua played more than expected in the team's Week 18 win against the San Francisco 49ers. Nacua caught four of his six targets for 41 yards and a first-quarter touchdown. While the rest of the starters on the team sat, Nacua was active to make some history. The 5th-round rookie had to play into the second half but eventually broke the single-season rookie yardage and reception records. He ended his historic season with 105 receptions for 1486 receiving yards and six touchdowns. As always, Nacua should be considered in all DFS lineups as he faces the Detroit Lions next week.

Jan 7 4:50am ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua will play in Week 18 despite the majority of the team's starters sitting. Nacua will be playing for one reason and that is to set rookie records. The 5th-round pick is just 29 receiving yards away from breaking the single-season rookie receiving record, set by Bill Groman in 1960. He is also just four receptions away from setting the record for most receptions by a rookie in a single season, set by Jaylen Waddle just two seasons ago. While Nacua may very well only play until he locks in the records, he has a reasonably high floor and should be played against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18.

Dec 31 7:00pm ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua did not slow down his production in the team's Week 17 win against the New York Giants. Nacua caught five of his eight targets for 118 yards, including an 80-yard catch and run where he dropped at the one-yard line. The rookie phenom has taken the league by storm and built an unbelievable connection with Matthew Stafford immediately. He now has over 100 catches this season and is just 28 receiving yards away from the all-time single-season rookie record. He should once again be considered as a WR1 option in his Week 18 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

Rams' WR Puka Nacua had 5 receptions for 118 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's win in New York Giants. It was Nacua's 2nd consecutive 100+ yard receiving game. He has averaged 7 catches with 141 receiving yards in those games.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (hip) is officially active for Week 17 versus the New York Giants. Although the rookie sensation was added to the injury report after missing practice on Friday, he had been trending in the right direction prior to kickoff. Indeed, Nacua will suit up and figures to maintain heavy involvement in the Rams' passing attack against New York. Through 15 contests this season, he has 96 catches, 1,327 yards, and five touchdowns. He ranks seventh among wide receivers in fantasy points and will continue to rank as a solid WR2 option in Week 17.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (hip) had been listed as questionable but is expected to play in Week 17 versus the New York Giants, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He ranks seventh among wide receivers in fantasy points and will continue to rank as a solid WR2 option in Week 17.

Los Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua (hip) will not practice on Friday and will be listed as questionable for Week 17 against the New York Giants on Sunday, according to head coach Sean McVay. However, Nacua is expected to play, per McVay. It's not what fantasy managers want to hear heading into their championship matchups, especially after the impressive 23-year-old rookie had nine catches on 11 targets for a season-high 164 receiving yards while scoring a touchdown in last Thursday night's win over the New Orleans Saints. He has another nice matchup in Week 17 and should be in all starting fantasy lineups if he's active. Make sure to check back 90 minutes before the Rams kick off on Sunday morning to see that Nacua is officially active.

Rams' WR Puka Nacua scored an impressive 33.00 fantasy points in Thursday's Week 16 win against the Saints. Nacua caught nine passes for 164 yards with one touchdown. It's the 3rd time this season Nacua scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Dynasty | After a seven game stretch of underwhelming yardage production, Puka Nacua exploded with 164 yards and a touchdown on 9-of-11 receiving in week 16. Dynasty Analysis: Nacua exploded on the seen as a rookie, producing four 100-yard games in his first seven contests. Leading up to week 16, he would only crest 100 yards once more, though his reception total remained impressive. Nacua continues to present as a high-floor possession receiver in an offense still headlined by Cooper Kupp, but Kupp turns 31 next June and is clearly on the downside of his production curve. As for Nacua, he's shown enough to maintain his position as DLF's WR23 and will go down as one of the stellar finds from the 2023 rookie class.

Dec 22 9:40am ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua made easy work of the New Orleans Saints defense during Thursday's game. The rookie wideout hauled in nine of his 11 targets for 164 yards and a touchdown in the win. Nacua nearly had another touchdown, but quarterback Matthew Stafford missed him on a wide open red zone look. Regardless, Nacua set a new career-high with those 164 yards and is now up to 96 receptions on the season. He should continue to be a elite option against the New York Giants defense in Week 17.

Dec 20 10:10pm ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua remains a strong fantasy football option and should be started in most leagues ahead of his clash against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football in Week 16. The breakout rookie has taken a slight step back from his elite level of production during the early weeks of the season, but he has also shown that he can co-exist with Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams in this star-studded Los Angeles offense. Nacua has at least four catches in each of his last five games, eclipsing double-digit fantasy points in four of those contests. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable deploying him as a WR2 once again this week.

Dec 17 10:00pm ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua put together a respectable Week 15 outing in the team's 28-20 win against the Washington Commanders. The 5th-round rookie caught five of his eight targets for 50 yards through the air. He also rushed the ball twice for three yards. Nacua took somewhat of a back seat as Kyren Williams and Cooper Kupp combined for 266 total yards in the win. This should not concern those rostering the rookie as he was still tied with Kupp for the team's most targets. Treat him as a high-end WR2 in his Week 16 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

From RotoBaller

Dec 17 2:50am ET

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is the overall WR10 through the first 14 weeks of the season. The rookie phenom immediately connected with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford and the two have not lost a step since. Nacua has over a 30% target share with Stafford, as he is drawing in almost 10 targets per game. While fellow wide receiver Cooper Kupp has picked it up as of late, Nacua has been the most consistent receiving option for the team this season. Treat the 22-year-old as a low-end WR1 with a high floor as usual against the Washington Commanders in Week 15.
