Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner should be viewed as a high-end RB2 in Week 14 in the Cardinals' divisional battle with the Seattle Seahawks. Conner struggled on the ground in the previous matchup with the Seahawks, recording his season-low of eight rushing yards; however, he remained productive, catching five passes for 41 yards in that game. Conner is the workhorse of this Cardinals offense, and his usage rate is among the highest of all running backs in the NFL. With the Cardinals needing to win this game to position themselves well for a playoff spot, we can expect them to rely on Conner heavily. Fantasy managers should insert Conner into their starting lineups if he isn't already there in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner got back on track to a degree in the Week 14 loss. Conner rushed for 68 yards on 17 carries while adding 13 receiving yards on three catches. That was another 20+ touch game for Conner, and he has the full confidence of being the workhorse of the organization after signing a two-year contract extension this past weekend. With the contract noise behind him, confidence should be high for Conner and the Cardinals, and they will rely on him heavily as they try to push their way into the playoffs down the stretch. Conner should once again remain in the starting lineup as the Cardinals return home to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner rushed for 68 yards on 17 carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. He also caught three passes for 13 yards during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Conner had been more involved in the passing game over the last few games but was able to find some success in the running game this week. He will continue to be plenty of touches during games and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Dynasty | Cardinals running back James Conner has signed a two-year contract extension. Dynasty Analysis: Conner's $9.5 million average annual salary will make him the seventh-highest-paid running back by annual value and the contract will keep him in Arizona through the 2026 season. This all but ensures Conner will be seen as the starter for the next two seasons, making Trey Benson managers more than a little disappointed. As for Conner, his dynasty value as a RB2 looks about as secure as it can get as he tries to churn out two more solid fantasy seasons.
The Arizona Cardinals signed running back James Conner a two-year, $19 million contract extension on Saturday, according to a source. Conner was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 season, but the Cardinals will instead lock him in for another two years. Arizona drafted Trey Benson out of Texas back in April, but the 29-year-old Conner will move forward as the team's primary backfield piece going forward as long as he's healthy. The former third-rounder by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017 out of Pittsburgh is having another strong season and is on pace for back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons for the first time in his career. Conner currently has 705 rushing yards and five TDs on 166 carries (4.2 yards per tote) in 11 games. Coming off a quiet performance in Week 12, Conner should be considered a low-end RB2 in fantasy in Week 13 against the Vikings.
From RotoBaller
The Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with RB James Conner on a two-year contract extension Saturday, Nov. 30, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: The 29-year-old Conner had been scheduled to become a free agent following the 2024 season. Through 10 games this year, he has rushed for 697 yards with five touchdowns, along with 24 catches for 247 receiving yards. Conner should continue to be viewed as a starting option in all fantasy formats.
From TheHuddle
James Conner's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14 presents a tough challenge, but his consistent usage in both the running and passing game still makes him a viable fantasy option. The Cardinals' offense has struggled to establish a run game, especially after their poor performance against the Seahawks in Week 13, where Conner was limited to just eight yards on seven carries. However, Conner's five targets in the passing game show that the team is still committed to keeping him involved in their offense. Even with the difficult matchup, Conner's steady involvement in the passing game gives him a solid floor for fantasy points, especially in PPR formats. The Vikings' defense has been relatively middle-of-the-pack against the run, so while Conner may not have a high ceiling this week, he can still provide decent fantasy value as a low-end RB2. The key for Conner is his volume, and barring a drastic change in game script, he should see enough touches to justify a start in most lineups.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner was productive through the air but couldn't get anything going on the ground in the 16-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Conner was limited to just eight yards on seven carries, as the Cardinals were repeatedly beaten at the point of attack. However, Conner still found a way to contribute, hauling in all five of his targets for 41 yards. He was expected to play a larger role given the circumstances of a tough divisional game on the road, but the ineffectiveness of the Cardinals' run game forced them to shift to a pass-first attack as they fell behind on the scoreboard. Conner is due for a bounce-back performance when the Cardinals travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner rushed seven times for eight yards and caught five passes for 41 yards in a 16-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12.
From TheHuddle
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner has boom potential in their Week 12 road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals are coming off a bye week, which afforded Conner much-needed rest after his heavy workload through the first ten games of the season. Conner is having one of his best seasons as a pro and is on pace for 1,185 yards and eight touchdowns. He'll look to maintain that pace against a familiar opponent in the Seahawks, against whom he has racked up over 300 total yards and four touchdowns in four games as a Cardinal. This should be a favorable matchup for the Cardinals' rushing attack, and Conner should be started in all leagues.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner tallied over 103 total yards in the 31-6 win over the New York Jets, including 80 yards through the air on five catches. Conner continues his aggressive running style, still leading the league in forced missed tackles. On the game's opening drive, Conner took a screen pass 44 yards before getting tackled inside the one-yard line. While his efficiency on the ground wasn't up to his usual standard, he was still able to cross the goal line for his fifth touchdown of the year. Conner has been a solid RB2 for fantasy managers this season; however, fantasy managers will need to look elsewhere in Week 11, as the Cardinals are on their bye week.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner rushed 12 times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Week 10, and he added five receptions for a game-high 80 yards on five targets.
Fantasy Spin: Conner had a long receiving touchdown taken away by instant replay, as he was ruled out at the 1-yard line after further review. The good news is he had the 1-yard rushing touchdown shortly after. He has been playing well enough to be a solid RB2 in all fantasy formats, but you'll need to make alternate plans in Week 11 with Arizona on a bye.
From TheHuddle
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (finger) is a high-end RB2 in Week 10 when the Cardinals host the New York Jets. Conner has been dealing with a finger injury that limited his practice participation earlier in the week; however, he practiced in full on Friday and appears to be good to go for Sunday. Conner is a workhorse back, and his volume has translated into a high number of touchdown opportunities. While there are concerns that his volume might decrease due to the injury and the emergence of rookie running back Trey Benson, his snap count should remain high enough to warrant RB2 consideration. Conner still possesses significant touchdown upside and should receive enough volume to remain a solid RB2 in Week 10 against the Jets.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner (finger) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.
Fantasy Spin: Conner should not have any limitations this week and will see plenty of touches against the New York Jets. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (finger) was once again limited in practice on Thursday. The veteran back has now opened the week with back-to-back limited practice sessions due to a finger injury. Conner is coming off his third 100-plus yard rushing game of the season. He has been tough to stop on the ground and will be an important piece of this offense against the New York Jets in Week 10. If he sits, Trey Benson and Emari Demercado would split up the carries in the backfield. Although, it seems like Conner should be good to go and should be a solid RB2 this weekend.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner (finger) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 7.
Fantasy Spin: Conner probably will be able to play this week, but fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation. He has rushed for at least 100 yards in two of his last three games and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (finger) was listed as a limited participant in the team's first practice of the week. Conner left Arizona's 29-9 win against Chicago on Sunday, but the finger issue is new for the 29-year-old. That he was limited is good news, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status over the next few days. It might behoove Conner owners to tentatively scoop up rookie running back Trey Benson or second-year back Emari Demercado in anticipation of the veteran missing time. Both athletes split snaps pretty evenly in Conner's stead in Week 9's victory. The Cardinals get a tough matchup against a stout New York Jets front seven on Sunday in Week 10.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner (finger) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Fantasy Spin: Conner should have a good chance to play in the Week 10 game as long as he does not suffer any setbacks. He posted his fourth 100-yard game of the season last week and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner recorded his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season in the 29-9 win over the Chicago Bears. Conner finished the game with 18 carries for 107 rushing yards and added three receptions for 12 yards. The Cardinals' rushing attack was dominant, and the offensive line frequently created lanes for the running backs. Conner did take a hard fall in the second quarter, landing on his hip and needing to check himself out after the play. However, that does not seem to be a lingering issue, as he returned to the game in the second half before the Cardinals put their backups in and went into cruise control. Although Conner did not find the end zone, he remains the focal point of the Cardinals' rushing attack, and fantasy managers should be happy with how his season has gone. He remains a likely starter for fantasy managers heading into their Week 10 matchup with the New York Jets.
From RotoBaller
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner rushed 18 times for 107 yards and caught three passes for 12 yards in a 29-9 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 9.
