Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) will meet with neck specialist Dr. Robert Watkins and is likely to avoid surgery. It's good news for Moss, but he's already been placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the 2024 season after injuring his next in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He will be shut down for the next two months. In a best-case scenario, the 26-year-old might be able to return if the Bengals make the postseason and make a deep run. In his first year in Cincy, Moss finishes with 74 carries for 242 yards (career-low-tying 3.3 yards per carry) and two touchdowns while snagging 23 of his 27 targets for 187 more yards and a touchdown. The Bengals quickly replaced Moss by trading for Bears RB Khalil Herbert, who should immediately serve as the No. 2 behind Chase Brown, possibly as early as Thursday night against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens.

Dynasty | Bengals running back Zack Moss will reportedly miss the rest of the season with a neck injury. Dynasty Analysis: Well, that escalated quickly. The Bengals traded for Khalil Herbert today and that move makes even more sense now. The loss of Moss puts Chase Brown squarely in the driver's seat to make a short and long-term impression as the starter. As for Moss, this is concerning as it was slated he was going to miss "at least" the rest of the regular season, meaning he may not even be back for the playoffs should the Bengals claw their way in. His dynasty value is trending in the wrong direction at this point.

Nov 5 9:00am CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) is expected to miss the rest of the regular season due to a neck injury. The 26-year-old popped up on Friday's injury report with a neck issue and was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Moss was "out indefinitely" on Monday. He will now miss the rest of the 2024 campaign. Moss finishes the season with 242 yards and two touchdowns on 74 rushing attempts while catching 23 passes for 187 yards and a score over eight games. According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Moss doesn't need surgery but will be rested for the next two months and then be re-evaluated. The Bengals acquired running back Khalil Herbert from the Chicago Bears on Tuesday to add RB depth and help fill the void left by Moss. Herbert is only rostered in 7% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues and should have a role once he becomes more familiar with the Bengals' offense. Chase Brown is expected to take over as Cincinatti's primary back after rushing for a season-high 120 rushing yards on 27 attempts while catching a season-high five passes for a season-high 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Raiders.

In a report by ESPN's Ben Baby, he noted that Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) will be out indefinitely due to his neck injury. Yikes. Per Baby, the team is seeking more information on the 26-year-old's injury this week, but it's not looking good for his availability moving forward. Fellow backfield mate Chase Brown had his best outing of the season in Sunday's 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, totaling 157 yards and a touchdown on his 32 touches. Brown projects to be the team's lead rusher moving forward, with Trayveon Williams and Kendall Milton mixing in behind him as a change of pace. Brown played on 80% of snaps in the team's Week 9 win and has his outlook on the rise heading into the back half of the season. Cincinnati will square off against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10.

Nov 3 8:00am CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game versus the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN's Ben Baby. The 26-year-old has delivered modest production in a split role with Chase Brown so far this year, totaling 242 rushing yards, 187 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. His usage had started to dwindle with Brown coming on strong lately, and now he's going to be sidelined altogether as he battles a neck issue. For the time being, Brown is the only Cincinnati running back worth starting in fantasy football. This week, with Moss sidelined, Brown ranks as a fringe top-24 fantasy option at the position.

Nov 1 1:30pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) is listed as doubtful ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Moss has taken a backseat in the backfield over the last few weeks. He has seen six carries or less in three straight games for 13 yards or less in all those contests. Fellow back Chase Brown has run away with the lead back job in Cincinnati. If Moss sits, Brown would probably see a few more carries coming his way this weekend. He'll be on the RB2 radar against the struggling Raiders team.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 4:10pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss had five carries for 11 yards in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia. He added four catches for 28 yards. The 26-year-old began the 2024-25 campaign by finding the end zone in three of the team's first four contests. However, he's gone cold since then, with Chase Brown emerging as the Bengals' preferred rusher out of the backfield. At this point, Moss will need to turn things around before working his way back into fantasy lineups. Keep him on the bench in Week 9 against the Raiders, although he's still worth stashing for those with room to spare.

From RotoBaller

Oct 25 8:40pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss ran for just seven yards off six carries in the Week 7 win over the Browns. The 26-year-old found the end zone in three of the Bengals' first four games in 2024-25. However, he's gone cold since then, with Chase Brown emerging as the lead back in Cincinnati. While the backfield situation can change at any time, Moss may not be the safest fantasy option for Week 8 against the Eagles. The same can be said for Brown.

From RotoBaller

Oct 20 9:10pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss had only 7 yards off six touches in Sunday's win over the Browns. He added three catches for 33 yards. It's clear Chase Brown is the preferred runner out of the backfield, resulting in another subpar showing for Moss. While he was considered a flex option heading into Week 7, fantasy managers should reconsider things for the Week 8 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Oct 18 10:10pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss entered the Week 6 meeting with the New York Giants battling an ankle injury. As a result, the 26-year-old had only six carries for 13 yards. He also played fewer snaps than Chase Brown for the first time this season. While it appears Brown is now Cincinnati's lead rusher out of the backfield, Moss remains at least a flex option for the Week 7 AFC North clash with the Cleveland Browns. However, if he doesn't turn it around on Sunday, fantasy managers may have to reconsider his spot in the starting lineup moving ahead.

Oct 14 10:20am CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (ankle) managed to suit up for Sunday's meeting with the New York Giants. However, he didn't do much, amassing 13 yards off six carries, adding one catch for two yards. The Bengals offense had a tough time against the Giants defense. But Moss likely wasn't 100%, resulting in Chase Brown being more productive. With that in mind, Moss remains at least a flex option for the Week 7 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

Oct 13 6:10pm CT

Cleveland Browns running back Zack Moss (ankle) is officially active for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. The 26-year-old injured his ankle in the Week 5 overtime loss to the Ravens. As a result, he missed practice time during the week. Fortunately, Moss is good to go, and even with Chase Brown (quadriceps) also active, both men are at least flex options in any fantasy format.

From RotoBaller

Oct 9 3:50pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (foot) did not practice on Wednesday, according to Mike Petraglia. Petraglia further noted that the running back did walk out in his uniform but could not participate in any drills. The 26-year-old suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Before the injury, Moss logged nine carries for 24 yards and added three catches for 28 yards. Through the early part of the season, Moss has been deployed as the lead back in Cincinnati, with Chase Brown serving as the No.2 option. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Moss' status during the week, as he could be in danger of missing Sunday's game. After totaling just over 40 yards through the first two weeks of the season, Brown has tallied at least 50 all-purpose yards in each of the past three games and could be a high-end RB2 on Sunday if Moss were to be held out of action.

Oct 7 12:30pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (ankle) is believed to be OK after injuring his right ankle late in the Week 5 overtime loss to the division-rival Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, according to sources. Moss got twisted in an awkward way and had to leave the game late, but it looks like he dodged a bullet. The 26-year-old could very well be on the injury report this week, but he appears to have a good shot at playing in Week 6 versus the New York Giants on the road. In the 41-38 loss, Moss had a season-low-tying nine carries for only 24 yards while catching three of his four targets for 28 yards. Moss has found the end zone three times (two rushing, one receiving) in his first five games with the Bengals in 2024, but backfield mate Chase Brown has gotten more involved in recent weeks as the Bengals offense has come alive a bit. If active, he'll be an RB3/flex in fantasy in Week 6.

Oct 6 10:00pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss finished the Week 5 loss to the Ravens by amassing 24 yards off nine carries. He added three receptions for 28 yards. Moss scored a touchdown in three of the Bengals' previous four contests. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury during the contest. With that in mind, the 26-year-old is in danger of missing at least the Bengals Week 6 matchup with the New York Giants. If he's not out there, Chase Brown would become an automatic must-start.

Oct 5 11:50am CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss has played well this season. While Chase Brown finally got involved in the Week 4 win over the Panthers after not doing much all year, scoring twice, Moss also found the end zone. The 26-year-old also played more snaps than Brown and remains the top runner out of the backfield. With a touchdown in three of the Bengals' four games this season, Moss remains a starting fantasy option in any format. However, his pass-catching prowess gives him even more value in PPR formats.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 7:40pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss had 15 carries for 51 yards in Sunday's win over the Panthers. He added four catches for 27 yards and a touchdown. Although Chase Brown was much more involved than he had been all season, Moss still had an efficient fantasy showing in Week 5. With a touchdown in three of the Bengals' four games on the year, Moss remains at least a flex option for the AFC North clash with the Baltimore Ravens.

From RotoBaller

Sep 28 10:20am CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss has played well in the team's first three games. Yet, he's coming off his best showing of the year so far, compiling 58 yards and a touchdown off 12 carries, adding five receptions for 39 yards in Monday's loss to the Commanders. While Chase Brown is in the mix, it's clear Moss remains the preferred option out of the backfield. Keep him in the starting lineup for the Week 4 clash versus a subpar Panthers defense.

From RotoBaller

Sep 24 12:13am CT

Dynasty | Bengals running back Zack Moss had 58 rushing yards, five catches, 39 receiving yards and a touchdown in a loss against the Commanders. Dynasty Analysis: Moss again out-touched Chase Brown, this time 17-9. Unfortunately, Brown was solid himself so this is looking more and more like a 60/40 timeshare moving forward. Regardless, this was game Moss needed to have and he's looked like a solid addition for Cincinnati as they try to fill the shoes of Joe Mixon on the cheap. Moss will be a low-end RB2 moving forward.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Sep 23 10:40pm CT

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss played well in Monday's loss to the Commanders. The 26-year-old finished the night with 12 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown, finding the end zone off a one-yard carry late in the contest. He also got involved as a pass-catcher, bringing in five of his six targets for 39 yards. While Chase Brown was more involved than in the first two games of the season, ending with seven touches for 62 yards, it's clear Moss is the preferred option out of the backfield. With two touchdowns in the Bengals' first three games of the 2024-25 campaign, Moss remains a starting fantasy option in Week 4 versus the Carolina Panthers.
