Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer made six catches in the final Chargers game of the season, a Week 18 loss to the backups of the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer was targeted a team-high 10 times, making his six catches for 44 yards. It was a tough end to the season for the Chargers passing game, who had to watch Easton Stick only throw touchdowns in one of his four starts. Palmer flashed a few times while on the field this season, but injuries slowed him down a bit and he's not quite suited to be a team's WR1.

Jan 7 6:50pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer was the Chargers' leading receiver before going down, catching six of his 10 targets for 44 yards. Los Angeles would like to end the 2023-24 campaign on a high note. However, with the team battling more than a few critical injuries, Palmer may not be back. With Gerald Everett (knee) also done in Week 18, Donald Parham Jr., Alex Erickson, and Quentin Johnston are the favorites to remain the most involved on the receiving end.

Jan 5 6:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (concussion) has cleared the league's protocol and will be available for the Week 18 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer will be the No. 1 wideout for this offense with Keenan Allen (heel) ruled out for this game. On paper, Palmer could be an interesting DFS option with the Chiefs likely resting most of their starters. However, Easton Stick will be under center for the Chargers, which doesn't bode well for their offense. Palmer has produced nine receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown in two games with Stick as the starter. Possibly, the two of them team up to have a good performance to close out the regular season.

Jan 4 6:40pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (concussion) was listed as a limited participant in practice for the second straight day as he attempts to return from a concussion and play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer suffered a concussion in Week 16 and missed the Week 17 loss to the Denver Broncos, but he's making progress this week and could be cleared from the concussion protocol in time to play this Sunday. If the 24-year-old does return, he could be LA's top target for quarterback Easton Stick in the final game of the season. In Weeks 15 and 16, Palmer had nine catches for 160 yards and a touchdown with Keenan Allen (heel) out. Allen has yet to practice this week and seems unlikely to return in a meaningless game. If active, Palmer could be a sneaky DFS play this weekend.

Jan 3 6:20pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (concussion) was limited in practice on Wednesday and could have a shot to play in Week 18 against the Kansas City Chiefs after missing the Week 17 loss to the Denver Broncos due to a concussion he suffered in Week 16. The 24-year-old was on the field for the majority of the snaps in his last game played and caught five of his eight targets for 47 yards. Keenan Allen (heel) is likely to close out the year missing his fourth straight game, so if Palmer gains clearance to play this weekend against a Chiefs team likely to rest a lot of their starters, he could be a DFS sleeper that pays off. In the two games that Palmer has played in Weeks 15 and 16 with Allen sidelined, he caught nine of 12 targets for 160 yards and one touchdown.

Dec 29 3:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Keenan Allen (heel) and Joshua Palmer (concussion) have been ruled out for the Week 17 contest versus the Broncos in Denver on Sunday. Allen will be missed his third straight game and can now be dropped by any fantasy managers in leagues that end in Week 17. There's a good chance neither wideout will play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, either. With both Allen and Palmer out against Denver, rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston will get another chance to prove himself, with Jalen Guyton, Alex Erickson and Derius Davis also having expanded roles as pass-catchers for quarterback Easton Stick. Tight end Gerald Everett becomes a more enticing low-end TE1 for fantasy managers as well.

Dec 28 4:00pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Keenan Allen (heel) and Joshua Palmer (concussion) both missed a second straight day of practice on Thursday, although they were seen doing agility work and running off to the side with trainers. Neither player is likely to face off against the Denver Broncos this weekend if they don't return to some form of practice on Friday. Allen has missed the last two games, while Palmer suffered his concussion in the Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills last Saturday. If both pass-catchers are unable to play this Sunday, the Bolts would be down to rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston, Jalen Guyton and Alex Erickson as their three starting receivers. Tight end Gerald Everett would have an expanded role as well. Palmer has caught nine of 12 targets for 160 yards and one touchdown the last two games with Allen sidelined.

Dec 27 3:50pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Keenan Allen (heel) and Joshua Palmer (undisclosed) are working off to the side with a trainer during practice on Wednesday. Allen did the same all of last week before missing his second straight game on Saturday against the Buffalo Bills. Allen and Palmer are going to need to get back on the practice field with the rest of their teammates in the next couple of days in order to have a chance at playing in Week 17 against the Broncos in Denver on Sunday. If both Allen and Palmer are inactive this weekend, the Bolts would be down to first-round rookie Quentin Johnston, Jalen Guyton and Alex Erickson as their three starting pass-catchers. Palmer has been the biggest beneficiary of Allen's injury the last two games, catching nine of 12 targets for 160 yards and a touchdown in losses to the Raiders and Bills.

Dec 24 12:20am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer led the Chargers in receiving yards in a Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Palmer was targeted eight times, making five catches for 47 yards. He ended up tied for the team lead in targets, second in catches, and first in yards. With Keenan Allen (heel) out, Palmer ended up as the WR1 on this struggling offense, and could remain in that role next week against the Broncos if Allen is unable to suit up.

From RotoBaller

Dec 21 4:20pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer has some fantasy upside in Week 16 despite a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Making the matchup tougher is the fact that quarterback Easton Stick will be leading the Los Angeles offense instead of Justin Herbert, but still someone has to catch his passes, and Palmer seems the most likely to do it. Palmer showed he was healthy in his return to the lineup last week, and he was able to put up four catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. The Bills defense has been solid all season against the pass, limiting Palmer's upside a bit, but if we assume there will be some fourth quarter garbage time for the Chargers again in this one, Palmer could pile up some fantasy-significant yardage. He's a WR3 with some upside despite all the challenges.

Dynasty | Chargers receiver Josh Palmer returned and produced 113 yards and a touchdown on 4-of-4 receiving during the Chargers embarrassing blowout by the Raiders in week 15. Dynasty Analysis: Palmer's return and production was easily the lone bright spot for the defeated Chargers who looked shell shocked and inept all night. Palmer returned from IR and scored the team's first touchdown on a well-thrown 79-yard deep strike. Palmer, only 24, figures to be a starter in 2024 with one year remaining on his contract and the team fully in rebuild mode. Listed as DLF's WR52, Josh Palmer should be rostered in all formats for the upside he presents though he continues to fly below the radar.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Dec 15 1:00am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer came off of IR and had a big game in a Week 15 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Palmer was the lone bright spot in an embarrassing loss for the Chargers on Thursday Night Football. Palmer was targeted four times, catching all four for 113 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown (and most of his yards) came on a 79-yard play where he was waiting wide open for the pass from quarterback Easton Stick. It was a nice return for Palmer, but seeing how this Chargers offense ran, no one in a Chargers uniform can be relied on for fantasy production going forward.

Dec 14 11:30pm ET

Chargers' WR Josh Palmer had 4 receptions for 113 yards with one touchdown in Thursday's loss in Las Vegas.

Dec 13 9:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) was activated from Injured Reserve and will play in Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Palmer, if he's at full speed, could have a bigger role than expected on Thursday Night Football with Keenan Allen (heel) forced to miss the game. The Chargers passing game is likely to struggle in general, with Allen out and Easton Stick starting at quarterback in place of the injured Justin Herbert (finger), but Palmer could end up as the closest thing to a target hog on Thursday evening. With most leagues in the fantasy playoffs, Palmer is likely too risky to trust in starting lineups, but there's certainly some upside there if things go well for the Bolts.

From RotoBaller

Dec 12 6:30pm ET

The Los Angeles Chargers activated wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) from Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Palmer has been listed as a full participant in the team's two walkthrough practices so far this week and is set to return to the starting lineup in Week 15 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football. The 24-year-old has missed the last six games and hasn't been on the field since Week 8, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to see a ton of snaps in his first game back. Palmer probably deserves to be rostered in most fantasy leagues as a bench stash, as he was serving as the No. 2 behind Keenan Allen before his injury, but the season-ending injury to quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) puts a damper on Palmer's fantasy ceiling for the final four games of the regular season.

From RotoBaller

Dec 11 8:20pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) was listed as a full-go on Monday's estimated practice report. The Chargers opened the 21-day practice window for Palmer to be activated off Injured Reserve last Wednesday, and there's a chance that they officially activate him before Thursday's contest versus the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders if he looks good on Tuesday. The 24-year-old should resume his role as the No. 2 receiver in LA's offense behind target hog Keenan Allen when he returns, which has made him a popular stash candidate in fantasy leagues. However, the injury to quarterback Justin Herbert (fractured index finger) that could keep him out for the final four games of the year, means that Palmer probably isn't going to have much upside when he returns if he's taking passes from backup Easton Stick.

From RotoBaller

Dec 8 5:00pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) has officially been ruled out for Week 14 versus the Denver Broncos. He had been limited in practice earlier this week and ultimately won't be activated from injured reserve in time for kickoff on Sunday. Keenan Allen remains the only Chargers wide receiver in must-start territory for fantasy purposes.

From RotoBaller

Dec 7 9:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. This marks back-to-back limited practice sessions for Palmer to begin the week. His 21-day window to return is open, so possibly Palmer gets back on the field for the Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos. If active, Palmer would have some WR3 upside with the Chargers having limited weapons on offense. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on his status.

From RotoBaller

Dec 6 10:10am ET

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) has been on Injured Reserve since Week 8 due to a knee injury. Heading into Week 14, the third-year pro is having his practice window opened, meaning the team has 21 days to activate him from IR. Quentin Johnston, Jalen Guyton, and Gerald Everett have struggled to step up behind Keenan Allen in his absence, so Palmer's return to the lineup would be a huge boost for quarterback Justin Herbert. Palmer saw at least seven targets in the four games before he got injured. If he returns for the fantasy football playoffs, he'll have immediate flex appeal.

From RotoBaller

Nov 29 8:00pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said that there's a possibility that wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) will return this year. Palmer is on Injured Reserve with a knee sprain and is eligible to return at any time. The 24-year-old pass-catcher hasn't played since going down with his knee injury in the Week 8 win over the Chicago Bears, and there remains no timetable for a possible return. He's worth stashing in fantasy leagues if you have the room, as he was the Chargers' No. 2 wideout behind target hog Keenan Allen after Mike Williams' (knee) season-ending injury earlier this year. Jalen Guyton and rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston have been on the field more with Palmer on IR, but neither receiver has really been able to capitalize yet.
