Panthers' QB Bryce Young scored 26.60 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 13 loss against the Buccaneers. Young threw for 298 yards on 26-of-46 with one touchdown.

Dec 2 6:10am CT

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has continued showing much-improved confidence and talent over the last month, culminating in his best game against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Young finished the overtime loss with 298 yards, one passing touchdown, 17 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown in Sunday's 26-23 overtime loss to Tampa Bay. He also added a clutch moment to his resume, connecting with Adam Thielen for a 25-yard touchdown to tie the game with 30 seconds remaining, capping a nine-play, 60-yard drive. It's clear that a midseason benching and reset were pivotal for Young, who has been guns blazing since his return to the lineup. However, a Week 14 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles will be his toughest test yet.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Panthers are pleased with the recent progression of quarterback Bryce Young. As a result, Carolina isn't expected to select a quarterback "early" in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 23-year-old struggled to begin the 2024-25 campaign. Although he still has a long way to go, he has at least thrown for over 224 yards in two of his previous four appearances. With that in mind, Young's job is far from secure. But as long as he continues to show improvement, it appears he'll remain under center. Still, the signal-caller has work to do before earning a consistent spot in fantasy lineups.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is coming off his best game of the season against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12. He completed 60% of his passes for 263 yards, one touchdown, and 20 rushing yards. In Week 13, a division foe comes to town as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to keep pace with the NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons. Tampa Bay ranks 29th in points allowed to quarterbacks this year, making this Young's most favorable matchup of the season. However, he will be without pass catchers Jalen Coker (quadriceps) and Ja'Tavion Sanders (neck), who are both out. RotoBaller has Young ranked as QB28 this week.

Nov 24 5:20pm CT

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young had 263 yards and a touchdown off 21-for-35 passing in Sunday's three-point loss to the Chiefs. He added three carries for 20 yards. The signal-caller has had his share of struggles throughout the 2024-25 campaign. However, Young arguably had his best showing of the season. Head coach Dave Canales remained adamant Young would remain starting for the Week 13 NFC South meeting with the Bucs. Unfortunately, he'll need a few more acceptable performances before fantasy managers consider him a starting option.

Dynasty | Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed 21-of-35 passes for 263 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in a loss against Kansas City. Dynasty Analysis: Young hasn't put up anything remotely dominant in terms of box score production, but he's also showing an ability to be a decent game manager as of late - something he hadn't shown at all up until this point. Young added 20 yards on the ground today and is keeping the Panthers in football games. Carolina is going to give him every chance to be successful moving forward based on their investment in him. At this point, Young's dynasty value has flattened out as it seems he may just be turning a corner.

Nov 18 11:20am CT

Carolina Panthers second-year quarterback Bryce Young will start in Week 12 versus the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, according to head coach Dave Canales. The Panthers were non-committal on their QB situation heading into their bye in Week 10, but they will stick with last year's first overall pick instead of turning back to veteran Andy Dalton. The 23-year-old was benched for Dalton after his first two starts this year, but he has looked better while starting each of the team's last three games while leading Carolina to back-to-back victories. In his last three starts, Young has completed 62.5% of his 88 pass attempts for 521 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions. He'll be looking to build on that in Week 12, but a breakout is unlikely to come against one of the defenses in the league this week as the Chiefs look to bounce back after their first loss in 2024.

Nov 11 6:50pm CT

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales is non-committal on who will start at quarterback when the team returns off their Week 11 bye to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12. Bryce Young has started the last three games with veteran Andy Dalton tending to a sprained right thumb and has led the team to back-to-back wins. However, following a bye this week, Dalton could be fully recovered from an injury he sustained in a car accident. Although young has posted modest numbers the last three weeks, the 23-year-old former first overall pick has shown improvement over his dreadful rookie season in 2023, going 55-for-88 (62.5%) for 521 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing nine times for 45 yards. At this point, it would be a surprise if Carolina went back to Dalton. Young will have a difficult matchup coming out of the bye against KC if he's named the starter, though.

Nov 11 3:40am CT

For the first time in his career, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has initiated a winning streak as the Panthers defeat the New York Giants 20-17. While not spectacular, Young played his role and didn't turn the ball over, contributing 126 yards, a touchdown, and a 60% completion rate. The 23-year-old also added 30 rushing yards on two attempts in Sunday's win. Since taking over for veteran Andy Dalton, Young has a 4:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio, and the Panthers are (2-1). Carolina has a Week 11 bye and will face the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs in late November. Head coach Dave Canales declined to name Young the foreseeable starting quarterback, but given the win streak and serviceable play, he would be expected to continue manning the helm.

Dynasty | Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed 15-of-25 passes for 126 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in a win against the Giants. Dynasty Analysis: He added 30 rushing yards. Young has looked far from dynamic recently but he's also not looking like a complete bust, either. At this point, Carolina is likely going to give him the rest of the season to prove he can be counted on and he's been doing much better of late. Young made some difficult throws today and managed the game well, even having a second touchdown pass wiped off due to a penalty. His dynasty value has been crushed, but he's still roster worthy at the moment.

Nov 9 6:40am CT

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is coming off his best performance of the season against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9. Young finished that game with 171 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a 61% completion rate. He also orchestrated a game-winning drive to secure Carolina's second win of the season. In Week 10, he'll travel to Germany to face a feeble New York Giants team who've lost four straight. Young has utilized some emerging targets in the Panthers' offense, such as tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders and wide receivers Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker. Still, as a QB fighting for his starting job every week, the second-year quarterback remains a low-end QB2 this week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 6 2:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that quarterback Bryce Young will make his third straight start on Sunday in Week 10 in Munich, Germany, against the New York Giants. The Panthers are taking it week-to-week right now at the QB position. Young, who has been a huge bust so far as the top overall pick in 2023, was benched for veteran Andy Dalton after the first two weeks of the season. But Dalton sprained his thumb in a car accident several weeks ago, leading to Young making the last two starts. The 23-year-old hasn't done anything incredible the last two games, but he did lead the team to their second win last Sunday against the Saints, going 16-for-26 for 171 yards with a TD and interception. He's going to need to play well to hold off the recovering Dalton for the starting job and will be a low-end QB2 in fantasy in Week 10 against a Giants defense that leads the NFL in sacks.

Nov 5 3:13pm CT

Dynasty | The Panthers are reportedly holding on to quarterback Bryce Young through the trade deadline. Dynasty Analysis: Young was famously benched earlier this season in favor of Andy Dalton. However, he's played better after replacing Dalton the past couple of weeks, perhaps instilling a glimmer of hope with a Carolina team that paid dearly for his services. Young will likely keep starting games until he regresses again (likely for the final time as a Panther) or shows enough for the franchise to continue building around him. Regardless, his dynasty value is near zero already after a disastrous start to his career.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Nov 5 2:30pm CT

Despite NFL teams calling about quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick last year, the Carolina Panthers will keep him, according to a source. Teams were gauging if the Panthers were already ready to give up on the top pick from 2023, and the answer for now is no. The 23-year-old had a disastrous rookie campaign and was benched this year for veteran Andy Dalton after two poor showings to open his sophomore season. A thumb sprain for Dalton has opened the starting door back up for Young the last two weeks, and it seems likely he'll make a third straight start in Week 10 versus the New York Giants in Germany this Sunday after leading the team to their second win in Week 9 against the division-rival New Orleans Saints. Young still has lots of improvements to make and will be a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers in superflex leagues if he's starting in Europe.

Nov 4 5:00am CT

In his second consecutive start, Bryce Young led the Carolina Panthers to a 23-22 divisional win over the New Orleans Saints. It was Carolina's second win of the season. Young finished the day 16-for-26 with 171 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. The interception came from a drop by wide receiver Xavier Legette. En route to the victory, Young kickstarted Carolina's game-winning drive with a 26-yard dart over the middle to Legette on 3rd and 10. The second-year quarterback looks more comfortable in head coach Dave Canales's system and has showcased more confident decision-making. Despite Carolina not naming a starting quarterback for Week 10, Young played well enough to get the starting nod in Week 10 as the Panthers head to Germany to face a reeling Giants squad.

Nov 2 1:10pm CT

The Carolina Panthers continue to receive calls from interested teams in former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young, but the Panthers aren't considering moving him at this time, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. Young will make a second straight start in Week 9 against the division-rival New Orleans Saints, and Carolina was encouraged by his improvements in the Week 8 loss to the Denver Broncos. NFL executives think that if the Panthers eventually decide to trade him, they'll get a better deal in the offseason. Young is apparently off the table for now in a trade, but the Panthers are believed to be open to dealing running back Miles Sanders and edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney. The 23-year-old Young went 24-for-37 for 224 yards with his first touchdown of the year and two picks last Sunday. Don't expect much improvement, if any, against the Saints this week with Diontae Johnson out of town and rookie receiver Xavier Legette (toe) questionable to play.

Oct 31 2:13am CT

Dynasty | The Panthers will start quarterback Bryce Young this week. Dynasty Analysis: Hope springs eternal in Charlotte as Young at least showed a tiny glimpse of potential last week when he didn't completely faceplant in a spot start for Andy Dalton. He'll take on a suddenly reeling Saints team with the Panthers hoping upon hope he can build upon last week's game and start looking like the player they thought they drafted. Young's performance this week will be big as the trade deadline is coming and he could be on the block. At this point, his dynasty value is steal near zero.

Oct 30 3:50pm CT

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young will start in Week 9 according to Steve Reed of the Associated Press. Reed noted that head coach Dave Canales was impressed with how the sophomore QB performed last weekend and that he "wants to continue to find the things that he is confident in." Last Sunday against a tough Denver Broncos defense, Young turned in his best start of the season as he threw for 224 yards and two scores and two interceptions. This was his first time this season he eclipsed the 200-yard mark and tallied multiple scores in a game. He has a much more favorable matchup this weekend facing the New Orleans Saints who have allowed the 17th-most points to opposing QBs.

It had been five weeks since Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales announced the benching of second-year quarterback Bryce Young in favor of the veteran Andy Dalton (thumb). In Week 8, with his two top receivers Diontae Johnson (ribs) and Adam Thielen (hamstring) out, Young got another shot in a Sunday afternoon tilt against the Denver Broncos. While his performance was a mixed bag, Young showed more confidence and capability than in his previous two starts. He finished the day with 224 passing yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 64% completion rate in a 28-14 loss. His two touchdowns went to rookies Xavier Legette and Jalen Cokeran appropriate snapshot of the infantile nature of this Carolina team. Dalton was inactive, and it is still unclear who will start in Week 9 against New Orleans. When asked postgame, Canales said, "We'll make that decision, and we'll have an answer for you in the next couple of days."

Dynasty | Panthers quarterback Bryce Young completed 24-of-37 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a loss to Denver. Dynasty Analysis: Baby steps. While much of his damage came in garbage time, Young was at least competent on the day and that's a step in the right direction for the young quarterback. He could still get traded if the Panthers are truly done with him, but this wasn't a total nightmare like some of his other starts have been. He'll remain a weak hold in dynasty leagues with his value at near zero.
