Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was quiet throughout most of the regular season. He was a distant third option in the passing game but came alive in the postseason. On Sunday, Otton hauled in five of eight targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Detroit Lions. In two postseason games, Otton caught 13 of 19 targets for 155 yards and a score. It was a nice showing for the young tight end during the postseason. Otton will likely enter the 2024 season as the No.1 tight end, but that doesn't guarantee he'll be a viable fantasy option.

Jan 19 10:10am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was the primary pass-catcher for this offense during last weekend's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Otton hauled in eight of his 11 targets for 89 yards in the win. Quarterback Baker Mayfield (ribs, ankle) was still somewhat immobile, so he leaned on the short routes to Otton. This gameplan of getting the ball out quick to Otton worked against the shaky Eagles defense. However, the Bucs are unlikely to have the same success against the Detroit Lions defense. Before this game, Otton had been held to two receptions or less in six straight games. DFS players shouldn't expect another eight-catch performance from Otton this weekend.

Jan 16 9:40am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton caught eight of his 11 targets for 89 yards in the Wild Card victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night. Those figures were all career-highs for the second-year tight end, and he picked a great time to have his best outing. Given his cheap price tag in DFS tournaments, he paid off significantly for DFS gamers. Next up for Otton is a road contest against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Divisional Round. The Lions have surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points per game to tight end this year, so look for him to build on his productive day.

Jan 12 11:00am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been barely involved in the offense since the month of December. Otton has been held to 44 receiving yards or less in his last six games. The young tight end has an bypassed by wide receiver Trey Palmer in the pecking order. Last week, Otton finished with two receptions for 30 yards in the win over the Carolina Panthers. DFS players should expect a similar outing from Otton who struggled during his last meeting against the Philadelphia Eagles. DFS players should be able to find a better option for this weekend.

Jan 7 9:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton once again was an afterthought during Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. The young tight end hauled in two of his three targets for 30 yards in the victory. Otton continues to serve as a distant third option in the passing game. In fact, Otton only has five games with more than three receptions this season. He'll be a low priced DFS option for the postseason slated next weekend, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much from Otton.

From RotoBaller

Jan 4 5:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has posted back-to-back dud performances over the last two weeks. Otton has a total of two receptions for 17 yards over his last two games. Otton has fallen in the pecking order and now rookie Trey Palmer is seeing more involvement than him in the offense. That being said, DFS players should be able to find a better option for Week 18. Otton does have a plus matchup against the Carolina Panthers. However, Otton hasn't scored in three games and is basically a touchdown-dependent option.

Jan 1 4:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton improved on his one-catch showing in Week 16 in Sunday's divisional loss to the New Orleans Saints, but not by much. Otton mustered only two receptions on a team-high-tying six targets for a measly 10 yards. The 24-year-old is Tampa's top pass-catching option at the position, but quarterback Baker Mayfield has chosen to target his receivers much more this year. The 24-year-old is averaging only 5.6 half-PPR fantasy points per game in 16 contests, which is tied with Tyler Conklin for 27th at the tight end position. Otton and the Bucs will face the Carolina Panthers for the second time this year in the Week 18 regular season finale in a must-win game. Back in Week 13 against the Panthers, Otton was not targeted despite playing 98 percent of the offensive snaps.

Dec 30 6:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been an afterthought in the offensive gameplan over the last two weeks. The young tight end has three receptions on three targets over the last two games. The Bucs continue to favor wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in the passing attack. That trend is likely to continue heading into the Week 17 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. It's worth noting that the Saints defense does struggle at times defending the tight end. Despite that, Otton shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a low-end TE2 for this game.

Dec 22 11:00am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton didn't see much action during last week's win over the Green Bay Packers. The former fourth-round pick hauled in both his targets for 44 yards in the win. Otton has been held to two or fewer receptions in three straight games. It's worth noting that Otton does have a plus matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars defense this weekend. A defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Despite that, it's tough to trust that Otton is actually going to be involved in the passing attack. That being said, he'll be a low-end TE2 for this game.

Dec 17 9:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton made the most of his chances during Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. The young tight end hauled in both his targets for 44 yards in the win. The Bucs threw 28 times, which means Otton only saw a seven percent target share in this game. He's normally good for a few receptions per game, but isn't much of a fantasy option. He'll be a low-end TE2 for the Week 16 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 11:20am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been more involved with four targets or more in three of his last four games. Sadly, Otton has been held to 49 receiving yards or less in all four of those contests. The young tight end is usually good for a few receptions, but hasn't been able to do much after the catch. He heads into a decent matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15. A defensive unit that is league-average when it comes to covering the tight end. Otton should be considered a TE2 for this upcoming contest.

Dec 10 9:50pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was looking for a bounce back performance after not being targeted last week. The young tight end somewhat turned it around during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. He hauled in two of his five targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in the win. Otton saw the third-most targets on the team on a day where the Bucs struggled to move the ball through the air. Otton was held below 20 receiving yards, but somewhat salvaged his fantasy value with an 11-yard game-winning touchdown. He'll be a low-end TE2 for next week's matchup versus the Green Bay Packers.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 11:30am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was held without a catch during last week's win over the Carolina Panthers. The young tight end wasn't even targeted in the contest, but fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned. Before that, Otton had hauled in four receptions in five of his last six games heading into last week's dud. He should be able to rebound in Week 14 against a Atlanta Falcons defense that has struggled to contain the tight end position. At worst, Otton should be able to produce low-end TE2 value for this upcoming matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 4 12:20pm ET

Fantasy managers that chose to stream Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton in Week 13 with six teams on bye came away extremely disappointed with the results and were left with a donut. Otton wasn't targeted at all in the team's 21-18 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. As usual, No. 1 receiver Mike Evans did the heavy lifting for the Bucs through the air with a 7-162-1 line in Tampa's fifth win of the season. It was the first time all year that Otton hasn't seen a target. Other than a two-touchdown performance in Week 9 against the Houston Texans, the 24-year-old has not gone over 50 receiving yards in a contest in 2023. He'll most likely bounce back in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons, but Otton has been a low-upside, touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer, at best.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 10:20am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has seen increased involvement in the offense over the last month or so. Otton has hauled in at least four receptions in six of his last seven games. Although, Otton has been held to only two touchdowns during that span, which has hurt his fantasy value. At the moment, he's the third option in the passing offense behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. That is likely going to remain the case going forward. However, Otton does have a fairly solid matchup against the Carolina Panthers this week. He could be a possible TE2 for fantasy managers who are desperate for a tight end.

From RotoBaller

Nov 26 9:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton did what he could during Sunday's Week 12 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The young tight end hauled in all four of his targets for 45 yards in the loss. Outside of his two touchdown game, Otton has been quiet throughout most of the season. He normally gets a few receptions per game, but never does anything too exciting with them. He'll remain a low-end TE2 going forward as fantasy managers should be able to find a better option in most fantasy formats.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 10:00am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has finished with four or more receptions in four of his last five games. The young tight end seems to be more involved in the passing attack as the season goes on. Otton has seen five or more targets in four of his last five contests. The problem for Otton has been extending the play and getting yards after the catch. The good news is that Otton has a favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. A defense that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Despite a good matchup, fantasy managers shouldn't consider Otton anything more than a TE2 for this Week 12 matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 19 10:30pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton quietly had a decent performance during this Week 11 game versus the San Francisco 49ers. Otton bounced back nicely after a 10-yard performance the week prior. On Sunday, Otton hauled in four of his five targets for 49 yards in the loss to San Francisco. He finished first on the team in receiving yards during this game, but was fourth in receptions. He had a few chances to score, but was held out of the end zone this week. He should be able to have success against the Indianapolis Colts next week. He might be able to put himself in the TE2 conversation for that game.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 6:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has played fairly well over the last month or so. Otton has recorded at least four receptions in three of his last four games. The 24-year-old is hopeful for better results after a 10-yard performance last week, which was his worst of the season. He won't have an easier matchup versus the San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 11. A defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. At the moment, fantasy managers shouldn't consider Otton anything more than a low-end TE2 for this Week 11 matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 12 10:20pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton came into this Week 10 matchup red-hot after two straight strong performances. Sadly, Otton wasn't able to keep it going versus the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The young tight end hauled in two of his three targets for 10 yards in the win. The Bucs really didn't involve Otton in the passing attack this week. Instead, wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin absorbed 16 of the 29 passing attempts in this game. The expectation is that Otton will see a higher usage next week against the San Francisco 49ers. However, he still shouldn't be counted on as more than a low-end TE2 right now.
