Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon became the third player in NFL history with at least 100 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown in six road games in the same season, rushing 20 times for 101 yards and a score in a 23-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13. He added four catches for 18 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Mixon continues to be a workhorse for the Texans, and he ranks in the top 10 in carries, rushing yards and touchdowns. He is a steady RB1 in all formats.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon bounced back from a season-worst day last week by going for 101 yards on 20 carries and also catching four passes for 18 yards in a 23-20 victory against Jacksonville on Sunday. The veteran back was efficient on the ground after a slow start, and continued being a major asset as a runner who catches passes and gets red zone work. His six targets were second on the team, and his seven-yard touchdown marked the seventh time in eight weeks that he found the end zone. Mixon should continue being a fantasy lineup staple after the Texans take their bye in Week 14.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans' RB Joe Mixon ran for 101 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Jacksonville.
Coming off a season-worst 22 rushing yards last week, Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon has an excellent chance for a get-right game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13. The Jags rank 31st against fantasy running backs and have allowed more yards after the catch than everyone except New Orleans, giving a highly involved running back a great opportunity to rack up points. The former Cincinnati Bengal has been consistently productive in his first season in Houston, piling up six top-10 finishes among running backs in just nine games. Any fantasy manager rostering Mixon should have him glued into their Week 13 lineup.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon rushed for 22 yards on 14 carries against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. He also caught five passes for 23 yards during the game.
Fantasy Spin: Mixon was not able to find much success in the running game and only received short passes during the game. He should be able to post better numbers next week and should still be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
The Tennessee Titans put the clamps on the Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, holding him to just 22 yards and no touchdowns on 14 carries and pulling off a 32-27 upset. The veteran running back had his lowest rushing output of the season, but did salvage some fantasy value by catching five of six targets for 23 yards. Houston's offensive line had a brutal showing against a talented Tennessee line, and the Texans rushed for just 40 yards as a team. Fortunately for the Texans and fantasy managers who roster Mixon, the Texans are at Jacksonville in Week 13.
From RotoBaller
Texans' RB Joe Mixon averaged a dismal 1.6 yards per carry on 14 attempts in Sunday's loss against the Titans.
Already one of the top-performing fantasy players of the year, Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon faces another decent matchup when his team plays host to the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. The top Houston back has scored in six straight games and rushed for 100-plus yards in five of six, and now takes on a Tennessee team that ranks 17th against fantasy running backs. The Texans are giving Mixon a feature back workload with nearly four red zone touches and 2.5 targets per game, making him a dynamic RB1 option in any format. He should be starting once again in Week 12.
From RotoBaller
Texans' RB Joe Mixon scored an astounding 35.30 fantasy points in Monday's Week 11 win in Dallas. Mixon ran for 109 yards and caught two passes for 44 yards with three touchdowns. It's the 4th time this season Mixon scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.
Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon ran 20 times for 109 yards and three touchdowns in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys, while posting two receptions for 44 yards on four targets.
Fantasy Spin: Looks like the Cincinnati Bengals might have made a mistake letting Mixon walk, right? Mixon has six 100-yard rushing performances this season, and he has scored in six consecutive games, posting nine rushing touchdowns and one receiving score, with 11 TDs overall. He has been a tremendous RB1 in all fantasy leagues, and he'll get a crack at the Tennessee Titans in Week 12 at NRG Stadium.
From TheHuddle
For the fifth consecutive week, Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon surpassed 100 rushing yards and found the end zone on Monday at Dallas, finishing with 153 total yards and three scores in the 34-10 win. The veteran running back kept up his hot streak with 109 yards on 20 carries, to which he added two catches for 44 yards. Mixon broke a 45-yard touchdown run on Houston's first drive, scored from a yard away later in the first quarter, and capped off the win with another one-yard touchdown. Five straight games of 100-plus rushing yards and a touchdown ties a Super-Bowl-era record. Houston's RB1 will look to keep the momentum going in Week 12 against Tennessee.
From RotoBaller
Already in great form, Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon finds himself with an excellent matchup Monday against the fading Dallas Cowboys. The running back's age-28 season has seen him score touchdowns five weeks in a row, during which he is averaging 117 total yards and more than three targets per game. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are a mess. Dallas is a bottom-five defense against fantasy running backs that has allowed the second-most rushing touchdowns and third-most rushing first downs. Through nine games, opposing ball-carriers are averaging 4.7 yards per carry against the Cowboys. Mixon is a top-shelf running back in any format this week.
From RotoBaller
Texans' RB Joe Mixon averaged a dreadful 1.8 yards per carry on 25 attempts in Sunday's game against the Lions. He did score one touchdown in the loss.
On his worst rushing night of the season, Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon still compiled 90 total yards, two catches, and a touchdown on Sunday in a 26-23 loss against the Detroit Lions. It was the fifth consecutive week in which the veteran found the end zone. The Lions limited the former Bengal to 46 rushing yards on 25 carries, by far his least efficient rushing game of the season, but he broke free for 44 yards on his two catches from four targets. Mixon and the Texans will be favored to snap a two-game losing stream when they play Dallas in Week 11.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon rushed 25 times for just 46 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions, while adding two receptions for 44 yards on four targets.
Fantasy Spin: Mixon got off to a good start, including his first-half touchdown run. However, the Lions defense was suffocating in the second half, and Houston ended up going scoreless. Mixon and the Houston offense will look to rebound in Week 11 in Dallas on Monday night.
From TheHuddle
The 7-1 Detroit Lions present a challenge for the Houston Texans in Week 10, but Texans running back Joe Mixon has been so effective that he should still be considered an RB1 candidate. The veteran has gone for 100-plus yards and a touchdown four weeks in a row, and he now ranks 15th among fantasy running backs in PPR formats despite missing three entire games and half of another. Detroit ranks fifth against fantasy running backs, but Mixon is drawing so much opportunity in the Houston offense that he still belongs in starting lineups despite the tough draw.
From RotoBaller
Texans' RB Joe Mixon ran for 106 yards on 24 carries with one touchdown in Thursday's loss in New York Jets. It was Mixon's 4th consecutive 100+ yard rushing performance. He has averaged 106 yards rushing in those games.
Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon carried the ball 24 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the New York Jets. He was not targeted in the passing game.
Fantasy Spin: Mixon has played five full games this season. He's surpassed 100 yards and scored in each one of them. While he's not as involved in the passing attack as he was in Cincinnati, Mixon is delivering consistent value on the ground. He's a legit RB1 for fantasy owners.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon turned in another productive night with 106 yards rushing and a touchdown on 24 carries in a 21-13 loss on Thursday at the New York Jets. It was the fourth straight week in which the veteran running back surpassed 100 rushing yards and added a touchdown. Thursday was the former Cincinnati Bengal's first game of the season without a catch, but Houston completed only 11 passes and allowed eight sacks on a forgettable night. Mixon and the Texans will look to get the entire offense moving again in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions.
From RotoBaller
Despite the Houston Texans' numerous offensive changes, running back Joe Mixon remains a RB1 option against the New York Jets on Thursday. The 28-year-old has one of the best fantasy situations in the league as a legitimate feature back who gets targets and red-zone work on a good offense, and he's delivered three straight top-10 finishes among running backs. Now, Houston could lean on its running game even more with top receivers Nico Collins (hamstring) and Stefon Diggs (knee) on injured reserve. The Jets are allowing just under 126 rushing yards per game, which ranks 17th in the NFL, and their 10 rushing touchdowns allowed is more than all but three teams. Mixon is a clear starter in Week 9.
