Goff took more steps forward last year, having his best season to date. He scored 34 total touchdowns to just 12 interceptions and threw for nearly 4,700 yards. He was sixth overall in fantasy quarterback scoring. He did finish the season a little bit on a down note, having one or fewer passing touchdowns five of the last six games. But even with his down showing down the stretch, Goff posted big fantasy numbers for the season. He continues to excel in the Rams explosive offense. Goff has two straight seasons with 29-plus touchdowns. Goff is a pocket passer that is accurate and sees the field well. He has a plus arm that can make all the throws and seems a great fit for the Rams offense. Goff is improving on the deep ball and does well in hitting his receivers in stride on shorter throws.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Goff is a top-10 fantasy quarterback in this offense. He is capable of the huge game any given week and should produce consistent numbers all season. Take him as a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback. Look for around 4,000 yards and 30 total touchdowns with 10 or so interceptions.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff may have faltered in the biggest game of them all, but that is no reason to not look at him seriously this draft season. Goff leads a team that has a great offensive coach in Sean McVay and surrounded by a huge amount of offensive talent. Goff has at his disposal arguably the best trio of wide receivers in the league, all able to be on the field at the same time Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp. Cooks and Woods both caught over 80 passes last season for over 1,200 yards each and 11 touchdowns between them. Kupp missed more than half the season, but ended the season on a similar pace, with his stats amounting to 91 receptions, nearly 1,300 yards, and 13 touchdowns. Certainly, there are concern's around the fitness of running back Todd Gurley's knee, but the system the Rams use looked to be effective when stand-in C.J. Anderson was brought in towards the end of the season. Currently, the wide receivers are being drafted in and around the early to mid-rounds, and Gurley being taken in the first round- if we are to believe that the players will return that value, then Goff simply has to be an effective fantasy quarterback.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay is confident that the Rams will give quarterback Jared Goff a contract extension. "Whether it ends up happening this year or next year, there is a zero percent chance this guy's not gonna get an extension he's worthy of," McVay said. "All the narratives out there are wrong. Jared and I couldn't be more connected, and I couldn't be more appreciative of him as our leader. He is so vital and important to us and our success. That extension will get done. It's a matter of when, not if." Goff will make $4.26 million in 2019 and $22.783 million in 2020. He's had growing pains at times but helped lead the Rams to a Super Bowl appearance last year. Consider him a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 going into 2019.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff is in line for a new contract, and Rams general manager Les Snead told the Los Angeles Times on Friday, June 14, that the team has had 'preliminary discussions' with Goff's agent, Ryan Tollner, regarding a timeline for talks. Los Angeles Times, Rams G.M. Les Snead said Friday that the Rams have had 'preliminary discussions' with Tollner regarding a timeline for talks regarding Goff's deal. '(It's) nothing heavy,' Snead said of the communications. 'No heavy lifting.'
Fantasy Spin: Meanwhile, Goff is coming off his best fantasy season yet, finishing seventh overall among fantasy QBs, and he should be valued as a low-end QB1 for 2019.
Los Angeles Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said that the Eagles' four-year, $128 million contract extension with quarterback Carson Wentz won't affect the team's timetable for an extension with quarterback Jared Goff. Goff was the first pick of the 2016 draft, while Wentz went right after him at No. 2. "They seem to be on a different timetable than we are," Demoff said of the Eagles. "I dont think were nave enough to say that Carsons signing is not relevant. I just dont think it changes the timing." Goff has an $8.9 million salary cap number in 2019 and is scheduled to make $22 million in 2020 on his fifth-year option. He's 24-14 as a starter, has made the Pro Bowl the last two years and led the Rams to back-to-back NFC West titles and a Super Bowl appearance last year. While fantasy owners won't be trusting Goff as an elite QB1 just yet, he's certainly on the rise in a dangerous offense.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods continues to develop his chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff during organized team activities. Goff has targeted Woods a whopping 215 times over the last two seasons, and the two connected a number of times in 7-on-7 drills at practice this week. Woods is focused on picking up yards after the catch this offseason. The 27-year-old broke out for career highs across the board in catches (86), targets (130), receiving yards (1,219) and touchdowns (six) in his second year in LA in 2018. It helped that Cooper Kupp (knee) wasn't around for half the season, but Woods should continue to do damage in this offense moving forward.
The Los Angeles Rams picked up quarterback Jared Goff's fifth-year option on Tuesday in a no-brainer move. Goff has thrown for 9,581 yards with 65 touchdowns while completing 62.1 percent of his passes. He's gone 24-7 with a 100.8 passer rating while leading the Rams to two straight NFC West titles in the last two seasons. He hasn't been as consistent as hoped from his fantasy owners, but Goff still has plenty of upside and should benefit from the healthy return of wide receiver Cooper Kupp in 2019.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff had his fifth-year rookie option for 2020 exercised Tuesday, April 23.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff said he is not worried about his contract situation and believes he will receive a lucrative contract if he continues to play well. The Rams are expected to exercise the fifth-year option in Goff's contract this offseason.
Fantasy Spin: Goff is coming off a very successful 2019 season with 4,688 yards and 32 touchdowns in the regular season. He should have most of his receiving corps back next season and can be a solid No. 1 fantasy quarterback.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff's potential contract extension isn't a top priority currently, according to head coach Sean McVay. 'Whether it happens this year, next year, those are things we haven't really gotten into in depth about yet,' McVay said.
Fantasy Spin: Goff had one of the worst Super Bowl performances in recent memory, but his regular season was stellar. Another season of over 4,600 yards and 30+ touchdowns should get him that extension. He's comfortably in QB1 territory heading into his fourth season.
The Los Angeles Rams intend on discussing an extension with QB Jared Goff during the offseason, according to MMQB's Albert Breer, though Breer says the team is not in a hurry to get something done.
Fantasy Spin: While fantasy owners' final image of Goff was his terrible Super Bowl performance you shouldn't get fixated on one bad game. The return of Cooper Kupp should help stabilize Goff, who'll have another season under his belt. He's a surefire QB1 for 2019.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff completed 19 of his 38 passes for 229 yards and an interception in a 13-3 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII.
Fantasy Spin: The entire offense was out of rhythm throughout the game, but despite the season ending on a sour note, Goff will be at the helm of one of the top offenses in the league heading into 2019. Treat him as a QB1.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff has utilized play action on 34.6 percent of his dropbacks this season to pace all quarterbacks.
Fantasy Spin: Most definitely expect that to continue in Super Bowl LIII as the opposing Patriots have been one of the worst teams defending play-action passes this season. Goff, though, has only thrown for a modest 483 yards and one TD during two playoff games so far, but likely will have to air it out more to keep up with Tom Brady and the high-powered Patriots on Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff started off slow, but was able to rebound against the Saints on Sunday. Goff finished 25-for-40 for 297 passing yards with a touchdown and interception. Goff wasn't perfect, but he was able to come through for his team when they needed him. He'll now get a chance to battle with future Hall of Famer Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff completed 25-of-40 passes for 297 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the NFC Championship Game overtime win against the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Spin: Goff and the offense got off to a slow start, but they put it together in the second half and started to figure out how to deal with the crowd noise. Next up is a battle in Atlanta against the winner of the New England Patriots-Kansas City Chiefs battle in the AFC title game.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff was not as strong as expected during the 30-22 victory over the Cowboys in the divisional round. Goff finished 15-for-28 with 186 passing yards and zero touchdowns with zero interceptions. The ground game was working for the Rams, so Goff wasn't asked to do too much on offense. It's going to be tough to trust Goff in the next round as he'll be faced with a much more difficult defensive matchup. DFS players will likely want to avoid Goff next week.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff completed 15 of his 28 passes for 186 yards and rushed six times for 12 yards in a 30-22 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 12.
Fantasy Spin: It was an ugly line from a fantasy perspective, but Goff actually made plenty of big throws to extend drives and set up scores. After a lackluster finish to the regular season, Goff's performance against Dallas was encouraging. He could be a useful source of cap relief for DFS playoff contests next weekend.
Rams' QB Jared Goff scored 25.95 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 17 win against the 49ers. Goff threw for 199 yards on 15-of-26 with four touchdowns. It's the 6th time this season Goff scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff completed 15 of his 26 passes for 199 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-32 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 17.
Fantasy Spin: Goff has been slumping in recent weeks, but maybe this performance will give him some momentum entering the playoffs. He could still prove to be a valuable member of fantasy lineups in playoff contests.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff had been struggling for the past few weeks, but, he was finally able to bounce back in Week 17. He finished the regular season with an efficient 15/26 for 199 yards and four touchdowns. He didn't put up the gaudy yardage totals we've seen earlier this year, but this day was more than good enough to achieve his expected value. Goff still has room to grow next year, but he is a burgeoning QB1 with head coach Sean McVay running the offense.
