Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (ribs) is dealing with several rib bruises, but should be available for Week 15, head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday, Dec. 11. Tomlin added that Roethlisberger will need pain management throughout the week.

Fantasy Spin: Despite missing most of the second half, Big Ben was able to return in the fourth quarter and direct a go-ahead TD drive and finished 25-of-29 for 282 yards and two TDs. Barring a setback this week, he'll be a QB1 option Sunday against the Patriots.

Dec 11 12:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ribs) said on his radio show on Tuesday that he doesn't expect to miss a big game in Week 15 against the Patriots. Big Ben was hit hard on a play just before halftime in Week 14 and then didn't return until just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter with the team trailing against the Raiders. Thankfully for fantasy owners, Roethlisberger was able to salvage his fantasy stat line somewhat late in that game, and he finished 25-for-29 for 282 yards with two touchdowns despite missing most of the second half. He'll be a strong QB1 this Sunday in what could be a high-scoring affair with New England.

Dec 11 11:23am ET

Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (ribs) received a pain-killing injection in his ribs at halftime last week. He didn't enter the game after the half to allow for the injection to kick in.

Fantasy Spin: Big Ben expects to play next week, but he might be a little too risky for such a pivotal point in the fantasy playoffs. His upside just doesn't hold enough weight for the potential downside. So consider that if there is a matchup play on waivers you could slot in instead.

Dec 9 11:03pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (ribs) completed 25-of-29 passes for 282 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 14 game against the Oakland Raiders, but he exited early due to a rib injury. He said after the game that he expects to start in Week 15.

Fantasy Spin: Roethlisberger was replaced by Joshua Dobbs, and that's who would start if Big Ben is unable to practice and/or misses additional playing time.

Dec 9 10:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 25 of his 29 pass attempts for 282 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 14 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Roethlisberger missed all of the third quarter and part of the fourth after injuring his ribs at the end of the second quarter, giving way to second-year signal-caller Josh Dobbs. The offense stalled under Dobbs and Roethlisberger re-entered the game with 5:20 left in the game, promptly connecting with JuJu Smith-Schuster for a one-yard touchdown. His ability to return to the game bodes well for his Week 15 availability but Roethlisberger's fantasy owners will want to have a backup plan, just in case. Pittsburgh will face the New England Patriots next.

Dec 9 7:10pm ET

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (rib) has returned in the fourth quarter of the Week 14 game against the Raiders with the team trailing with just over five minutes left in the game. Big Ben took a big hit right before halftime and was being looked at when the second half started. Joshua Dobbs played for most of the second half but wasn't very good. Roethlisberger had 164 yards passing and a touchdown in the first half and will end up being a fantasy disappointment after missing most of the second half. Unless he suffers a setback, we'd expect him to be ready to play in Week 15 in a showdown with the Patriots.

Dec 9 6:20pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (rib) is dealing with a rib injury and is questionable to return for the second half in Week 14 against the Raiders. Big Ben took a hard shot just before halftime and is being checked out in the locker room. Roethlisberger was 18-for-22 for 164 yards and a touchdown in the first half. His fantasy owners will need him to return and put up more yardage in the second half in the first week of the fantasy playoffs. Joshua Dobbs has taken over under center with Roethlisberger hurting. Pittsburgh's pass-catchers will be hurt the rest of the way if Big Ben isn't able to return. Roethlisberger is one of the toughest players in the NFL, so he'd have to be dealing with a serious for him not to return.

Dec 5 9:40am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger heads to Oakland to take on the Raiders in Week 14. The veteran quarterback has been playing well of late, passing for multiple touchdowns in five of his past six contests. The tanking Raiders don't represent a very difficult challenge for him as they rank dead last in the league in pass defense DVOA and are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position. Lock Big Ben in as a top-five fantasy quarterback for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Dec 3 2:30pm ET

Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa helped deliver the knockout blow against the Steelers on Sunday night when he sacked quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. With the Chargers down by a touchdown entering the fourth quarter, Bosa made a critical sack on Big Ben that held the Steelers deep in their own territory. The resulting punt on the drive ended up being returned for a touchdown by Desmond King to tie the game, and LA would go on to win it from there. Having surrendered 30 points, it wasnt the defenses most dominating performance, but Pittsburgh is a strong offense. With Bosa anchoring the line, the Chargers defense should be a solid choice moving forward.

Dec 3 1:23am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 29 of 45 passes for 281 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT during the team's Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Spin: Big Ben was picked for the third straight game and passed for less than 300 yards for the first time since Nov. 4, so it wasn't a banner day. Worlds will collide next week when Roethlisberger, whose road woes are well known, travels to the Black Hole to face a woeful Raiders team. To paraphrase the late, great Gorilla Monsoon, it's the resistible force meeting the movable object. Consider your alternatives before deploying Roethlisberger in Oakland.

Dec 3 12:00am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 29 of his 45 passes for 281 yards while throwing two touchdowns and one interception but it wasn't enough as his team lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 33-30 on a last-second field goal. The veteran quarterback connected with Antonio Brown for a 28-yard score in the second quarter and then found Jaylen Samuels for a 10-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Despite the loss, Roethlisberger continues to be an extremely consistent fantasy quarterback, having tossed multiple touchdown passes in five of his past six contests. He will look to stay hot in Week 14 against the Oakland Raiders.

From RotoBaller

Nov 30 4:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Fantasy Spin: Roethlisberger has thrown five interceptions over the last two weeks but has played very well at home this season. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in most leagues despite the matchup.

Nov 29 4:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.

Fantasy Spin: Roethlisberger has thrown five interceptions over the last two weeks but has also thrown for more than 300 yards in each of the last three games. He will be facing a solid Los Angeles Chargers defense this week but could still be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Nov 28 4:33pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Fantasy Spin: Big Ben has been lights out this year but faces one of the best fantasy pass defenses in the Los Angeles Chargers. He can still be started, of course, just lower your expectations.

Nov 28 9:50am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will head back home to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13's Sunday Night Football game. Roethlisberger is in the middle of an excellent stretch, averaging 343.5 passing yards and racking up 12 total touchdowns in his past four games. The Chargers' sixth-ranked pass defense in DVOA poses a tough matchup for Roethlisberger, but he has proven throughout the season that he can be trusted as a QB1, even in difficult spots.

From RotoBaller

Nov 27 4:25pm ET

Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger scored 26.90 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 12 loss in Denver. Roethlisberger threw for 462 yards on 41-of-56 with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Nov 25 11:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 41-of-56 passes for 462 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Spin: Big Ben had a season high in passing yardage, surpassing the 452 yards he posted in Week 2 against Kansas City. He has three straight 300-yard games, but this game snapped his four-game run with two or more passing scores. Next up is a battle next Sunday night against the visiting Chargers.

Nov 25 9:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 41 of his 56 pass attempts for 462 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in a Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos. It could have been a much different outing for the quarterback as he was stopped at the Denver three-yard line on a 12-yard run during the fourth quarter. Instead of rushing for a score, he came back three plays later and threw a game-ending interception at the two-yard line. Despite the disappointing outcome, Roethlisberger has been one of fantasy's most consistent quarterbacks this season. He will bring 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions into a Week 13 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

From RotoBaller

Nov 25 7:30pm ET

Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger passed for a monster 462 yards on 41-of-56 with one touchdown in Sunday's game in Denver. He did throw two interceptions in the loss. It was Roethlisberger's 3rd consecutive 300+ yard passing game. He has averaged 368 yards passing in those games.

Nov 23 4:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

Fantasy Spin: Roethlisberger has been playing better on the road this season compared to previous seasons but has still thrown seven of his 10 interceptions in away games. He will be facing a solid Denver Broncos defense but can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues.
