Steelers' RB James Conner scored 28.90 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 6 win in Cincinnati. Conner ran for 111 yards and caught four passes for 18 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 3rd time this season Conner scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 15 8:23am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner is expected to remain involved in a committee when and if RB Le'Veon Bell returns, in the opinion of NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Spin: Conner would lose some value, but he should remain on rosters as a flex option.

Oct 14 9:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner totaled 19 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns in his team's 28-21 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. Conner also added four catches for 18 yards in the win. The two-score game gives Conner four touchdowns over his past two games as he has heated up in the month of October. Despite the big game, Conner heads into his bye week as somewhat of a question mark as Le'Veon Bell is expected to return to the team for their Week 8 contest. Conner has played well enough to retain a role but he will likely have to split with Bell going forward.

Oct 14 5:13pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed 19 times for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Week 6 win against the Cincinnati Bengals and he added four receptions for 18 yards on seven targets.

Fantasy Spin: There are reports Le'Veon Bell might return to the team after the bye, which would mean Bell reports this coming week to get back into the mix. That would splash a ton of cold water on Conner's fantasy appeal. He has back-to-back 100-yard performances with four rushing touchdowns over the past two games. He also has at least three receptions in all six of his outings to please fantasy owners in PPR leagues.

Oct 14 4:30pm ET

Pittsburgh's RB James Conner ran for 111 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns in Sunday's win in Cincinnati. It was Conner's 2nd consecutive 100+ yard rushing performance. He has averaged 111 yards rushing in those games.

Oct 10 10:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner hopefully will still have a solid role in the offense even when RB Le'Veon Bell returns to the team, according to QB Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger said he will push for Conner to receive playing time because he has played well this season.

Fantasy Spin: Bell likely will take over the starting role when he returns, but Conner should receive a good amount of playing time when Bell returns. Conner probably will no longer be a weekly starting option but could be a flex option against certain opponents.

Oct 10 12:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger thinks running back James Conner absolutely needs to remain in the game plan when Le'Veon Bell returns from his holdout in Week 8. Conner had 110 rushing yards, 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 and has been great in Bell's absence. And I will push for James to get as much run as we can because weve seen some great things from him in all phases of football. Hes picking up blitzes, hes catching the ball, hes running hard and making plays and playing with a passion, so we need to keep using that. Conner remains a high-end RB2 for however long Bell remains away from the team. His fantasy value will obviously take a hit when Bell returns, but he could still be involved enough to be on the flex radar.

Oct 10 9:40am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner will draw a plus matchup in Week 6 when he takes on the Cincinnati Bengals. Conner is coming off an excellent Week 5 game which saw him score twice and rack up 185 all-purpose yards against the Atlanta Falcons. Cincinnati's run defense has struggled this season, ranking 23rd in DVOA and allowing the 10th most fantasy points per game to enemy running backs. With Le'Veon Bell expected to return to the team during the Week 7 bye, this weekend's game will be Conner's last chance to operate as the team's workhorse back. Treat him as a mid-range RB1 in Week 6.

Oct 9 1:00pm ET

Steelers' RB James Conner scored an astounding 34.50 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 5 win against the Falcons. Conner ran for 110 yards and caught four passes for 75 yards with two touchdowns. It's the 2nd time this season Conner scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Oct 8 5:00pm ET

The emergence of Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner could allow the team to ease Le'Veon Bell back into things following the team's Week 7 bye against the Browns. Bell got off to a slow start last year after his holdout early in the year, and he's also worried about his overall workload as he tries to remain healthy for free agency in 2019. The Steelers could ease Bell back in and eventually have him and Conner splitting work evenly in a timeshare. That would be awesome. Thats probably what he wants and thats probably a good thing for both sides of the team. But well see how it plays out. You never know until the situation comes," center Maurkice Pouncey said. Conner ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns and caught four passes for 75 yards in the Week 5 win over the Falcons, so he's proven more than capable that he can hold down the fort. However, Bell's fantasy owners would rather see Bell lead this backfield in carries once he returns. Conner also leads the league in 32 missed tackles forced, according to Pro Football Focus, and is averaging 4.1 yards per carry and 10.7 yards per catch. Those that own Conner may get some use out of him even after Bell returns.

Oct 8 12:10am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner turned in a huge game in his team's 41-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. Conner carried the ball 21 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns while adding four catches for 75 yards. It was a massive performance for the second-year back who had struggled in his previous two games. Conner may have just one more game to operate as the team's lead running back as Le'Veon Bell is rumored to be returning during the Week 7 bye. Conner will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

Oct 7 5:03pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. He also caught four passes for 75 yards during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Conner had been quiet the last few weeks but was a big part of the team's success on offense this week. He will receive at least one more start and can be a No. 2 running back next week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Oct 7 4:30pm ET

Steelers' RB James Conner ran for 110 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Falcons.

Oct 5 12:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has underwhelmed since his big season opener, and offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner thinks it's his fault. I probably just need to do a better job heating him up, Fichtner said, referring to giving Conner more carries. Its just like quarterbacks, too. You get into a rhythm. And all good running backs, they need that rhythm. Conner has had fewer than 10 carries in two of the last three games, with eight for 17 yards in Week 2 and nine for 19 yards in Week 4. Fantasy owners realized quickly that Conner is not Le'Veon Bell after Week 1. He hasn't scored since Week 2 and is more of a low-end RB2 until Bell returns from his holdout. However, Conner should see more work in what is expected to be a shootout against the Falcons this Sunday.

Oct 5 9:53am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner is sought to see more carries by offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner. 'I probably just need to do a better job heating him up,' Fichtner said, referring to giving Conner more carries. 'It's just like quarterbacks, too. You get into a rhythm. And all good running backs, they need that rhythm.' Conner has received fewer than 10 carries in two of the past three games.

Fantasy Spin: Conner has a good matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this week, but his usage has been really concerning. He's an RB2 or flex option.

Oct 3 9:00pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has seen his production dip each game since his impressive Week 1 performance against the Cleveland Browns. The second-year runner has averaged just 3.68 yards-per-carry this season, with a YPC of 2.12 yards or lower in two of his four contests. Conner has retained some fantasy value due to his production in the passing game but it would be better to treat him as an RB2 instead of the RB1 it appeared he would be after Week 1. Conner does find himself in a plus matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, which gives hope to his fantasy owners. Atlanta's run defense ranks just 30th in the league in DVOA and this game is widely expected to be one of the highest-scoring contests this weekend. Treat Conner as a solid RB2 in fantasy.

Oct 1 9:20am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner struggled to get much going on the ground in his team's Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Conner carried the ball nine times for 19 yards and added three catches for 25 yards in the 26-14 loss. He did suffer from poor game script as the Steelers came out passing in the second half. That being said, Conner's outlook has been trending down after an impressive Week 1 debut against the Cleveland Browns. The second-year runner now has 232 rushing yards, 18 receptions, 164 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in four games. He will be a solid RB2 in a potential Week 5 shootout against the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Oct 1 12:53am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed nine times for 19 yards and caught three passes for 25 yards in a 26-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4.

Fantasy Spin: Since a big opener against Cleveland, Conner's numbers have trended in the wrong direction. That being said, the volume is allowing him to still produce useful fantasy numbers, and he needs to be starting in fantasy lineups as long as he is Pittsburgh's starter.

Sep 26 10:30am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner will get ready to make his first career start against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. Baltimore has been stout against the run this season, ranking sixth in DVOA and not allowing an opposing back to top 100 yards against them through three games. Conner might have some trouble getting going on the ground in Week 4 but his involvement in the passing game helps to raise his fantasy point-scoring floor. Conner is averaging 5.0 receptions per game on the season and can be treated as a mid-range RB1 for Week 4.

From RotoBaller

Sep 25 7:30am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner picked up 61 rushing yards on 15 carries while adding five catches for 34 yards in his team's 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Conner failed to pick up a touchdown for the first time of the season but he was still able to salvage his night with his prowess in the passing game. Conner now has 213 rushing yards, 15 receptions, 139 receiving yards, and three touchdowns on the year. He will remain a solid RB1 in fantasy for as long as Le'Veon Bell is away from the team. Week 4 brings a Sunday night matchup for Conner against the Baltimore Ravens.
