The Arizona Cardinals are closing in on hiring former Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian as their next offensive coordinator. Sarkisian was mostly a disappointment in his two years coordinating the offense in Atlanta with a bevvy of weapons, so he'll have his work cut out for him with a roster with very few playmakers outside of running back David Johnson and veteran wideout Larry Fitzgerald if he doesn't retire. Sarkisian will mainly be tasked with developing Josh Rosen as he heads into his second year in the NFL. Arizona was ranked dead last in most major offensive categories in 2018.

The Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a deal to make USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury their new head coach on Tuesday, according to sources. It'll be Kingsbury's first job in the NFL, and he'll be expected to improve an offense that was dead last in most of the major categories in 2018 with rookie quarterback Josh Rosen the starter for most of the year. It's a risky move for a team with few quality playmakers on the roster, but they'll also have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 draft.

Dec 31 6:10pm ET

The Arizona Cardinals fired interim offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator Al Holcomb on Monday, according to a source. Leftwich took over midseason after the team fired Mike McCoy, and the Cardinals finished dead last in yards per game (241.6), dead last in passing yards per game (157.7), dead last in rushing yards per game (83.9) and dead last in points per game (14.1). That'll do it. While they were a bit better on defense, they still struggled for consistency. Leftwich had precious few weapons on offense to work with aside from running back David Johnson and veteran wideout Larry Fitzgerald, making it extremely tough on rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. Success won't come overnight, but Arizona must give Rosen more weapons and a much better offensive line in order to keep him from regressing in Year 2.

Dec 31 3:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks told his staff on Monday that he will no longer be the head coach moving forward, according to sources. Wilks only got one season in the desert, but he did supply the organization with the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft after going 3-13 in 2018. To be fair to Wilks, Arizona's roster was one of the weakest overall in the entire league, so he didn't have much to work with. Rookie quarterback Josh Rosen was dreadful all year as well. The Cardinals have a long way to go to be relevant again, but it'll start by building competent weapons on the offensive line and at the skill positions around Rosen in 2019.

Dec 31 4:03am ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen finished 18-of-34 for 149 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Spin: About the only good thing to come out of Rosen's rookie year is that he logged significant snaps. His season ends with 2,278 yards passing, 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, although it should be noted Arizona clearly placed him into position to fail. Much work needs to be done between now and the start of next season - including upgrades at offensive coordinator and along the offensive line - before the Cardinals can make a call on his long-term outlook. He'll be a low-end fantasy QB2 at best in 2019.

Dec 23 11:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Mike Glennon played in relief of quarterback Josh Rosen in the team's Week 16 loss to the Rams. Glennon completed five of seven passes for 63 yards on the night. Glennon should not be rostered in any format heading into Week 17.

Dec 23 11:40pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen had yet another disappointing performance in Week 16. The rookie quarterback completed 12 of 23 passes for 87 yards and rushed four times for 45 yards before being pulled. It is unlikely that Rosen was started by many fantasy owners, but he should still be considered a low-end QB2 going forward with a high potential for being pulled in Week 17.

Dec 23 10:13pm ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen completed 12 of his 23 passes for 87 yards and rushed four times for 49 yards before being replaced by QB Mike Glennon in a 31-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16.

Fantasy Spin: Rosen is still going to have a chance to be Arizona's franchise quarterback, but the rookie is really struggling right now. If you own him in dynasty formats, cross your fingers that he can make some big strides in 2019.

Dec 22 9:43pm ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen said he would be 'very frustrated' if he didn't get to play the final two games of the season.

Fantasy Spin: Rosen was pulled from the Week 15 game, but he has already been announced as the Week 16 starter. The rookie has been awful recently, and while fantasy owners can ignore him, the Cardinals might as well let Rosen earn a little more experience as they look ahead to next season.

Dec 17 1:43am ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen will serve as the team's starting quarterback in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Steve Wilks.

Fantasy Spin: No surprise. Mike Glennon looked OK in garbage time, but we have years of proof that Glennon is a JAG. Next week could be another painful one for Rosen against a Rams team smarting from back-to-back high-profile losses.

Dec 16 6:23pm ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen completed 13 of 22 passing for 132 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15. He also lost a fumble.

Fantasy Spin: Rosen has no business being anywhere near a fantasy lineup, but the toughest aspect of his monumental struggles has to be the overall impact on the rest of the offense.

Dec 16 6:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Mike Glennon played as the team's quarterback after rookie Josh Rosen was pulled in the 4th quarter. Glennon completed 10 of 14 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in the team's blowout loss to the Falcons. Glennon will be the team's backup quarterback going forward and has no fantasy value.

Dec 16 6:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen had a very poor performance against the Falcons in Week 15. The rookie quarterback completed 13 of 22 passes for 132 yards and two interceptions and also had a fumble on the ground. Rosen is clearly playing like an inexperienced rookie and was pulled in the 4th quarter for backup quarterback Mike Glennon. However, the rookie is still going to be the starting quarterback going forward and has low-end QB2 value.

Dec 13 8:30pm ET

Despite suffering through a tough season, the Atlanta Falcons defense is in play as a fantasy option in Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona's punchless offense, led by rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, has been a unit to target with fantasy defenses all season. Averaging just 13.7 points per game, last in the league, the Cardinals are giving up the second-most fantasy points per game to defenses. While it may not feel great playing them, the Falcons D/ST is a solid streaming option, especially if your normal starting defense has a tough matchup in Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 5:30pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen has largely underwhelmed in his rookie year, and a difficult matchup against the Atlanta Falcons should have a similar result. If fantasy owners are starting Rosen, they are truly desperate. Outside of 2-QB leagues, Rosen is not a start-worthy option for fantasy owners.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 11:53pm ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen completed 26-of-41 passes for 240 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 14 against the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Spin: Rosen has plenty of fantasy appeal long-term, but right now he shouldn't be on any rosters.

Dec 9 11:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen had another poor day against the Detroit Lions. Rosen completed 26 out of 41 pass attempts for 240 yards and an interception and was a fantasy dud on the night. Going forward, Rosen is nothing more than a low-end QB2 playing on an extremely poor offense.

From RotoBaller

Dec 6 1:00pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen faces a difficult matchup against the Detroit Lions in Week 14. Rosen had a decent performance last week but has not demonstrated his long-term viability as a starting fantasy option. Rosen should return low-end QB2 value in a tough matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 2 8:40pm ET

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen had a poor performance despite the team defeating the Green Bay Packers. Rosen completed 11 passes on 26 attempts for 149 yards and rushed twice for 32 yards as well. Although his team got the victory, Rosen did little to demonstrate that he will be anything other than a low-end QB2 going forward.

From RotoBaller

Dec 2 8:23pm ET

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen completed 11-of-26 passes for 149 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 13 win on the road against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Spin: Rosen was the beneficiary of a strong running game in this one, as the Cards picked up a rare road win. He might end up being a decent fantasy option down the road, but that time isn't now. The Cardinals host the Lions in Week 14.
